Check out whose RSVP’d to our classic big bash! See you there at Sydney Motorsport Park on June 2!
The entries are rolling in for our inaugural cars & coffee on steroids event.
Rolling 30 is taking place on June 2 at Sydney Motorsport Park, and champions classics of all varieties be it Aussie, American, British, Euro or Japanese!
If you’ve got a classic at home that you love, we want to see you there!
Rub shoulders with like-minded enthusiasts, and give your toy a leg stretch on track!
You’ll be able to meet some of the crew too: Editor ‘Guido’ Guy Allen, the famous Morley, Higgo and young Alex.
We’re looking for as many reader rides as possible, so don’t be afraid to come for a chat!
See below for a few cars that you’ll be seeing there!
Julie’s 1971 Chrysler Valiant VG VIP
The VIP became a standalone model for Chrysler Australia in 1969, as an extended luxury variant of the beloved Valiant.
The VG arrived in 1970, with Julie’s sweet example fitted with the optional 318ci ‘Fireball’ V8!
We can’t wait to hear it!
Andy’s 1971 Ford Escort
Andy is bringing his striking giant-killing Mk1 ‘Eskie’!
These little monsters are cult heroes with passionate fans around the world!
His isn’t the only one coming along, so keep an eye out on the day!
Chris’ 1984 Calais Director
Check out Chris’ VK Calais Director!
We’re keen to have a closer look to see what’s what – Directors were available with almost limitless specification choices!
While the Blue Meanie VK Group A often wins the popularity contest, we reckon the Directors were an absolute peach!
Simon’s 1978 Saab 99 Turbo
We can’t lie… we’re excited for this one!
Saab’s 99 Turbo was an absolute game-changer when it was released.
It was a thinking-man’s executive car that proved that practicality and excitement could be packaged together for fantastic results!
They were truly ahead of their time, and Simon’s example looks to be in great period-correct condition!
Like Andy’s Eskie above, Simon’s also entered his 99 Turbo along with a twin, so keep an eye out for that black one in the background!
