1960 Austin-Healey Sprite – $45,000
Despite all the reliability jokes about small 1960s British sports cars, I can tell you, from personal experience, the bug-eye Sprite is one helluva great car and I still have a soft spot for them.
No, they weren’t road rockets, but driving one was always a special occasion and it was one of these cars you found an ‘excuse’ to go and drive.
This one is very appealing as all the hard yards have been done.
It has been the subject of a comprehensive rotisserie restoration and a repaint from bare metal.
The 1170cc donk has new internals and is mated to a Mazda MX-5 manual gearbox.
If only I had a bit more shed space.
