2022 Market Review - Toyota Landcruiser/Surf/Estima/Alphard 1964-2010
Confusion in the online selling environment has seen tatty but viable ‘Cruisers selling for less than they should, while others are foisted onto the unwary at excessive prices.
FJ40 and FJ55 LandCruisers in excellent condition with correct engines and in factory colour schemes might reach $80,000, but some have been offered at a lot more and our market isn’t ready for that yet. Good 1980s ’Cruisers of all kinds will sell at $25-30,000, Four-cylinder diesel Surfs which once could be found everywhere have become scarce and more expensive than a few years back.

Other models in this category are designed to carry multiple passengers and/or a wheelchair and have been flooding the market, so negotiate hard. Readers might be familiar with the Estima name, but maybe not Porte, Noah, Vellfire or Alphard, all of which fulfil slightly different roles and cost $12-25,000.
