2022 Market Review - Toyota Corolla/Levin/Blade/Corona 1963-2010
Corollas were for decades so poorly treated it’s miraculous that any early cars survive at all. Pre-1973 models, including KE70 coupes, are scarce now and values around $20,000 realistic.
1970s-80s rear-wheel-drive models are easier to find and more affordable, so too the 100kW SX and early-1990s GTI. Sprinter and Japanese-spec Levin/Trueno coupes are scarce but asking prices are inexplicably down.
Those wanting 3.5 litres in something the size of a Corolla might also fancy a recently arrived Toyota Blade. Also climbing in value are Coronas, particularly pre-1981 models which typically exceed $10,000.
1980s Coronas offer practical family transport and most cost less than $8000. Collectors might consider pre-1971 two-doors which pop up occasionally at $20-30,000, or the later Mark 2 coupe.
