Team Effort, Leno Approved + more! – Gearbox Premium

Easter is gone, so let's get some new toys.

1. TEAM EFFORT

The Marlboro Holden Dealer Team was the powerhouse crew representing the General in Australian motor sport and while we all remember the XU-1, L34 and A9X Toranas, one vehicle that’s equally recognisable is the team panel van. Decked out in similar livery to the race cars the Holden HJ 308 was a regular fixture at race meetings and rallies. Now you can get one.

Supersonic Collectibles has this highly detailed 1:24 scale model with opening doors, bonnet and tailgate. Perfect for the Holden collector.

Cost $99.99 from supersoniccollectibles.com.au

Ditch the chamois and get your mitts on a blow-dryer. The AIR-S is a super-compact, handheld dryer with plenty of power. It’s the best way to quickly and easily dry cars, motorbikes, and much more. The powerful blower blasts water from every vent, grille, mirror, or hiding spot on cars.

Compact in size the AIR-S spins to 21,9800rpm and has two-speed control. It comes with a handy five-metre cord and three nozzles, to suit any job.

Are your whitewalls not looking so white? Former late-night TV host and lifelong petrolhead, Jay Leno, has his own range of car-care products, and one of them is the rubber and whitewall cleaner. It’s industrial-strength formula quickly and easily removes browning and discolouration from whitewalls, white letters, and even works a treat on standard black tyres.

The cleaner removes old tyre- dressing residue and other greasy materials, leaving a clean surface. Spray it on and brush it off.

HQ fascia.jpg

The HQ Holden was one of the General’s most successful models. New from the ground up, when revealed in 1971, it showed a radical styling departure to its predecessor. Sitting at the top of the heap was the Monaro. Recognised by its bright colours and black stripes, sports wheels, V8, manual gearbox and sporty cabin. The dash fascia had a pressed metal look and Muscle Car.

Parts Australia has new reproduction versions of the iconic dash in both silver and gunmetal. Superbly made from quality material, they are ready to slip straight in and will give your Monaro a lift.

Cost $280 allmusclecarparts.com.au
