‘Showroom condition’ Ford Thunderbird, with only 3,498 original miles was recently up for sale for $45k USD
An ebay listing recently emerged for a 1960 Ford Thunderbird that is said to have only 3,498 original miles on the clock. Seller mojomokc, a longtime ebay member with 100 per cent positive feedback, said that the T-Bird is ‘a one owner car that is being sold on behalf of the widow’.
The car is situated in Northern California, where it has been stored in a sealed garage underneath a car cover, so it stands to reason that the car is in the condition that the seller describes.
“The car is in like factory new condition in the interior. The exterior is in amazing shape. The car is in all original condition. It looks just like it left the showroom” the seller explained.
The condition of the car’s 352ci V8 and driveline is unknown though the seller said they’re happy to answer any questions, or to make arrangements to provide documentation.
“We aren’t sure the last time the car was started, but the car will turn over,” he continued “The car is like a time machine. The owner of the car obsessed over the care and upkeep of the car”.
The two-door hardtop Thunderbird still wears the original Rose Metallic paint and is equipped with a factory radio, heater, power steering, power brakes and window lifts.
The car had a ‘buy it now’ price of $45,000 USD, that’s about $60,000 in Aussie money. The ebay auction closed at 8:03am on Monday 12 December and doesn’t indicate if the car has been sold.
