2022 Aussie Family & Sports Car Market Review - Sports Cars & Replicas
Throughout the 1950s and into the 1970s, little factories dotting Australian back streets turned out a marvellous array of sports and sporty cars. These could be bought complete or in kits to be home built around easily found MG,
Holden lor Volkswagen parts. Cars we should be seeing include $40,000 Bolwell Mark 7s and restored Goggo Darts, but recently there have been very few of either. A couple of JWF Milanos appeared, with one passed through an auction at $46,500 and there was also a rare Canstel Clubman.
Buforis are an acquired taste and $40K for one of these retro roadsters might be a stretch. Purvis Eurekas at around $25,000 are more realistic. DRB products including the Dino-shaped Sabre justify $20,000+.
