A collection of six mouth-watering 991-generation GT-series Porsche 911s and a 2019 MAN transporter are being auctioned by RM Sotheby’s as a single lot, with no reserve.
The collection of single-owner, delivery-mileage 991 Porsches are the most desirable of the series and consist of a GT3 Touring, a 911 R, a GT3 RS, a GT3, a GT3 Cup and a GT3 Cup R.
Representing the best of the best of the seventh-generation GTs, the collection belongs to an enthusiast who was inspired by the dreams of his youth, to have all the best sports cars to play with, and a truck to transport them wherever he liked.
In no particular order, the first cab off the rank is a 2016 911 R, the 698th example by serial number, built from a total production run of 991 cars.
Finished in white with red stripes, this 911 R had the options list thrown at it including a single-mass flywheel, carbon ceramic brakes, 918 Spyder-style bucket seats and navigation with Bose speakers. It, like the rest of the fleet is in as-new condition, having been driven less than 50 kilometres from new.
Despite its low mileage it has been serviced twice, when in May 2020 it received an oil and brake fluid change at just 33 kilometres from new, and in March of 2023 its second service included oil and brake fluid changes along with a new battery and six new spark plugs, when it had just 45 klicks on the clock.
Finished in red with a black interior is the 2018 911 GT3. It has the Clubsport package and has also been driven less than 50 kilometres. This one has a six-speed manual and ceramic brakes, as well as 918 Spyder-style bucket seats, racing harnesses, a roll cage and no sound or satnav.
Undertaking autobahn-storming, country-crossing trips at ease is childs play for the 2018 911 GT3 Touring. Given it has less than 20 klicks on the odo this clearly hasn’t happened, yet.
The Touring is finished in black with a black leather interior, a Bose sound system and has a 90-litre fuel tank for greater distances between stops. Keeping the speed in check are the optional carbon ceramic brakes. It also has a Sport Chrono package and has been serviced twice.
For track days the 911 GT3 Cup is a pretty sharp tool and this one shows just 32 kilometres on the clock with an engine lifetime reading of 0.0 hours. So it’s virtually brand new. All of the car’s protective film and tape is still intact, making for an unrepeatable opportunity to purchase an as-new, race-ready 911.
Not satisfied with one track-focused Porsche. Try this one on for size then. The 2019 GT3 RS Weissach edition. Like the red GT3 in the collection, the 911 GT3 RS is also outfitted with track use in mind, sporting the Clubsport package, roll cage and racing harnesses.
The car is also fitted with a fire extinguisher mounted to the passenger-side footwell, a 90-litre fuel tank, and the deletion of the sound and navigation systems. It’s enhanced with the addition of the Weissach package that adds many carbon-fibre panels and parts inside and out.
Painted racing yellow but with a black leather cabin and yellow seat belts it also features optional magnesium wheels. This car has recorded a total of just 27 kilometres from new.
More hardcore than the regular GT3 Cup car is the Cup R, an FIA-homologated full-on race car designed to compete in the GT3 class. Like the GT3 Cup, it has hardly been used, showing just 24km on its odometer and remains as-new, in every regard.
To lug this lot around in spectacular fashion is a 2019 MAN TGX 18.640 prime mover and six-car double-deck trailer. These were bought new and like the Porsches it transports, the MAN is well decked out with air suspension and an XXL-sized cab.
Power is from a 640 horsepower six-cylinder diesel engine and is attached to a 12-speed gearbox. The prime mover and trailer have both covered an astonishing 500 kilometres from new and present like new.
