This is another absolute time warp with an outstanding history file. Our Triumph Herald 13/60 has covered just 53700 miles from new and has spent most of its life with two families. The Triumph was first registered on the 23rd February 1970 and changed hands several times in its early life before settling with one married couple who kept the Herald for 18 years from 1980 to 1998. Over the 18 years of ownership they had the car maintained with W.A Hatfield Ltd Motor Engineers in Nottingham who were a British Leyland Esso Main Dealership. Pages and pages of invoices from the main agents demonstrate the excellent upkeep and maintenance during the car's early life. When the couple bought the car in 1980, W.A Hatfields MOT tested the Herald at 29646 miles and in 1998 when they parted with the car, they'd taken the mileage to 44000 miles . Over 14000 miles were covered over the 18 years and every invoice, MOT and piece of paper relating to the car seems to have been kept with the history file. TheTriumph changed hands in 1998 and in early 1999 a Triumph Restorer inspected the car and reported it to be in very good condition. The restorer went onto say the car was exceptional and it was clearly very original and very well maintained as supported by the service history. Over the next few years, the Triumph was subject of various bodywork and a re-paint with the marque specialist and similarly to its previous owners, the Herald was superbly maintained with all service and maintenance records kept with the car. In over ten years of ownership, the Herald covered a further 8000 miles before changing hands again. OBV 617H has now covered 53700 miles and is still a very original, genuine and honest example. It has been impeccably well maintained right throughout its life as proven with its comprehensive history file. Naturally the car has had to have a re-paint and various cosmetics, but at heart it's an original time warp that has never required dismantling, or a full nut and bolt rebuild. It's anideal starter classic, the perfect daily user, but also will make any owner proud on the classic car club and show scene. This is a lovely find with wonderful paperwork and history, a delightful largely original upholstery and it presents as a good, honest car requiring no major work. Price: 6,995
