This exceptional original right hand drive MGA Coupe was built between the 2nd and 8th April 1957 and exported new to Switzerland where it has been for the majority of the past 61 years. The MGA was supplied new with wire wheels and kilometres speedo. The MGA has been registered in Switzerland since new and has been meticulously maintained and pampered throughout its life and was also subject of a 1990's restoration. Swiss traffic regulations are extremely strict on car quality, maintenance and overall condition and a stringent Matriculation roadworthy process and check must be carried out to keep the car on the road. This car also has a valued Swiss veteran status meaning it has been subject to a more detailed examination. The MGA has spent most of its life in the sunny region of the southern Swiss Alpes and we are told the car has had just three owners in its lifetime. The last owner, one of our regular customers based in both Switzerland and the Netherlands bought the MGA in 2014. He and hiswife bought the car as a wedding present and it spent most of its time at their Schwyz property and it has been used sparingly in both Switzerland and Holland. They found the car in Ticino whilst enjoying a drive around the Lago Maggiore, the MGA was in the display at the Classic Bugatti Garage Belotti in Locarno in Southern Switzerland. The Bugatti Garage had the MGA displayed with other numerous classics and were convinced of its premium quality and overall excellent condition having known the car very well. The quality of this MGA is first class with exceptional paintwork and bodywork. We know from the history file the car had substantial work during the 1990's and it still retains a beautiful, deep paint finish with superb panels and gaps. The engine bay is superbly presented yet still very usable and the underside is absolutely first class. On arrival the MGA was submitted to our workshops for a check over and we can confirm the car is in excellent mechanical order. The engine is superb withexcellent oil pressure, the four speed gearbox is strong with excellent syncromesh and the brakes, steering and suspension system are all working perfectly. The interior has recently been treated to re-trimmed leather seats and new door cards giving the car an all-round first class finish. The MGA will be UK registered for its next owner if staying in the UK. Price: 34,995

This stunning MGA MKI 1500 FHC was manufactured by the MG Car Company in the UK, at Abingdon, Berkshire in 1957 and was exported to the U.S.A. On arrival back in the UK in 1992 the MGA was stripped down and the body removed from the chassis. The car was then subject of a show standard chassis up nut and bolt rebuild to the highest of standards. The chassis was taken back bare metal, cleaned, prepared and painted, all new suspension, brakes and steering fitted and the axles, engine and gearbox removed and rebuilt. The body was totally stripped down, wings removed and fully rebuilt and painted. All new bright work, wheels and tyres were fitted and the interior fully re-trimmed with Black leather seats and Grey carpets. We, as Grundy Mack in 1993 then sold the car and advised the new owner that it required running in, much the same way as a new car of this era would have been. A full photographic record of the restoration is with the vehicle which details the high standard of workmanship that achieveda concours level car. SVS 923 presents superbly with stunning bright paintwork with a high quality finish. 15 years after restoration, the MG was flatted down and re-painted again so a high quality bright Red finish was still in place, matching the high quality finish of the rest of the car. The bodywork today is exceptionally straight with lovely front and rear wings, perfect closing doors with impressive gaps and panel alignment. The chassis is in excellent condition, as are the battery boxes and wood floor panels. The interior is delightful with lovely aged Black leather with Red piping, superb carpets, headlining, dashboard and door cards. The engine bay is beautifully presented; the boot floor very clean and nicely painted and painted wire wheels are still in very good order many years after replacement. This MGA Coupe will fulfil many purposes, whether it is a classic car for annual use, long distance touring, rallies, and events or for preparing for show events, this car is ideal. Itcertainly has the potential to be put into competitions, or it can be a usable classic car in excellent condition capable of any journey. The last owner has mainly used the car for weekend use, shows and rallies and has thoroughly enjoyed the car. In summary, SVS 923 is very strong mechanically, requires no major work and presents very well in stunning condition throughout. Price: 34,995

This beautifully presented, exceptional driving Jaguar XK150 FHC left the factory finished in Carmen Red with Black trim and was manufactured on the 8th October 1957. Still in its original colour combination and retaining its original 3.4 litre engine, the XK was supplied by Jaguar Cars New York with a manual, overdrive gearbox and the car spent its first 32 years in the USA. This XK150 arrived into the UK via Felixstowe on the 30th October 1989, imported by a Garage business based in Leicestershire who sold the car to the Director of an Isle of Man property business who kept the car for 15 years. In 2004, the most recent owner in Derbyshire purchased the XK and has covered several thousand faultless miles in the car. The XK's first UK based long term owner purchased the car in 1989 but it wasn't until 1991 when the car was sympathetically restored and subsequently registered JVS 492. Although the owner was based on the Isle of Man, the car was taken to Stockport, Cheshire specialists WilstorationLtd and around 5000 of mechanical work was carried out. A Stockport based auto trimming specialist carried out a full re-trim in Black leather at a cost of 1925 and in August 1991 the XK was MOT tested for the car time with a recorded mileage of 54076. Later in 1991, the XK was taken to the Isle of Man and Merlin Restorations carried out further work to the car. Two years later in 1993 the Jaguar was treated to a rear axle overhaul and at the same time the gearbox and overdrive were stripped down and treated to new seals and bearings. The Isle of Man based owner later moved to Nottingham and in 2004 the car was sold to the most recent owner in Derbyshire. MOT certificates with the car suggest it only covered 200 miles from 1991 to 2004. On initial purchase in 2004, the XK was treated to four brand new MWS International Ltd chrome wire wheels and Vredestein tyres. During the first year of ownership the XK then covered 1000 miles. Since then the car has been used sparingly, covering just 3000 milesover the 15 year ownership period. On the road we can confirm JVS 492 is very impressive; its original 3.4 litre engine performs beautifully with a lovely note, holding excellent oil pressure and it pulls strongly through the gears with lots of power. The gearbox is notably smooth, gear changes are slick and the overdrive comes in and out nicely. The XK holds the road well, handling is excellent and the brakes are sharp and efficient. The car runs at correct temperature and on the road the car feels incredibly strong and reliable. The Carmen Red paintwork has a gleaming, deep shine, the finish is of a lovely standard and the bodyshell is exceptional with impressive panel gaps and no corrosion issues. The glass and chrome work is all excellent, the engine bay is nicely presented with a superb bulk head and 28 years and 3000 miles on since a re-trim, the upholstery presents beautifully. The chassis and underbody are excellent and the general condition is of a very well preserved, well maintainedolder restoration that has had careful, limited use since major work was completed. JVS 492 is an incredibly straight, sharp, honest car that drives superbly and with matching numbers and original colours, there is no doubt this XK150 offers excellent value for a car that can be driven and enjoyed with absolute confidence.
