Rare and fully restored, this 1971 Ford XY Falcon Panel Van stands out with its GT-themed transformation. The extensive restoration involved a meticulous nut and bolt rebuild, focusing on both the exterior and interior to create a Unique GT van replica. Painted in striking Yellow Ochre, the van boasts meticulous bodywork, bringing it back to its original glory. The heart of this beast lies under the shaker bonnet, where a rebuilt 351ci Cleveland V8 engine roars to life. Paired with a 4-speed manual top loader transmission and a 9-inch diff with 3.55 gears, this van is not just about looksits a powerful cruiser. The attention to detail continues inside with a GT-style interior makeover. From the new carpet, to the custom full-length headliner, every element exudes the GT aesthetic. The Ford XW Falcon GTHO Phase II is arguably the toughest of all the GTHO models Ford made. With all of the 267 examples produced having solid 351 4V Cleveland engines, 31 spline Top Loader gearboxes and differentials. Falcon GT enthusiasts would argue that the Phase II is their favourite. This example, restored approximately 15 years ago in its original colour of Diamond White with saddle interior. It was originally delivered to Duhig Ford in Essendon, Victoria and was built in August of 1970. The only variations from original are a pair of extractors, paired with a stainless-steel exhaust system and a Phase III style brake vacuum tank. The original exhaust manifolds are included with the sale. The car was entered in the 2009 Falcon GT Nationals where it took out second place in its class.
