Sold between March 1972 and September 1973, the XA series was the first Falcon to be designed (with assistance from Ford's US headquarters) and manufactured in Australia. It featured an entirely new body which was larger and more roomy than that of its XY series predecessor, giving it the "cokebottle" look. The XA range also had a longer list of options, although the choice of engines carried over from the previous XY Falcon range. All V8 302 CID and most 351 CID "Cleveland" engines were now Aussie made. GT Falcons could have Aussie or imported 351 CID V8s fitted. Wagons, utilities and panel vans now featured a longer wheelbase than the sedan. Fairmontwagons had a dual-action tailgate that could be opened either downwards or sideways, optional on base model Falcon and Falcon 500 Wagons. The addition of a two-door hardtop to the range marked the first time that this body style had been offered on an Australian Falcon since the XP series of 19651966. Muscle Car Warehouse presents to you this lovely XA GT Hardtop Tribute. Originally leaving the factory in October 1972 as an original Wild Violet XA GS Fairmont with a host of desirable options such as GS Rally Pack, air conditioning and power steering to name a few. Since upgraded to the super tough Falcon GT tribute that it is today. Still sporting its original Wild Violet colour but now with GT satin black accents, badging, spoilers, spotlights, square base aerial, bonnet, guards and all other Falcon GT items to ensure it looks just as Falcon GT should. This Falcon hardtop sits on period correct Globe style wheels front and back. The interior is also to factory specification in black vinyl with all Falcon GT components. Under the hood is a 351 Cleveland engine consisting of a Sniper EFI, Trickflow inlet manifold and rocker covers, MSD ignition and an Aeroflow air filter assembly pumping out an astonishing 610 horsepower!! Helping to get this power to the ground is a C4 automatic transmission andof course a Ford 9 diff. This beautiful GT tribute comes with Ford verification and full New South Wales registration and is now available for inspection via video call in our Kogarah facility.
