1974 Jaguar E-Type Series 3 V12 Roadster Manual For Sale in London (LHD) Delivered from new with the highly desirable manual gearbox Just undergone complete suspension and braking overhaul Fitted with air conditioning and Chrome Wire Wheels European spec bumpers Ready for immediate summer use The V12 E-Type was at its best as a long-distance, high-speed tourer. There were few cars which could match its top speed and 150mph cruising ability, even amongst the exotica from Italy, and none at all the silence and smoothness of its engine' Paul Skilleter, The Jaguar E-Type. One consequence of the E-Type's long process of development had been a gradual increase in weight, but a good measure of the concomitant loss of performance was restored in 1971 with the arrival of what would be the final version the Series III V12. Weighing only 80lb more than the cast-iron-block 4.2-litre XK six, the new all-alloy, 5.3-litre, overhead-camshaft V12 produced 272bhp, an output good enough for a top speed comfortably inexcess of 140mph. The further good news was that the 0-100mph time of around 16 seconds made the V12 the fastest-accelerating E-Type ever. As per its works heritage certificate, this glorious roadster is finished in its original colourcombination of Old English White coachwork with Russet Red hide, a black soft top and matching tonneau cover. Built-in left-hand drive form and completed 26th February 1974 making this particular example, a late car, benefits from air conditioning and inertia seats belts. Upon being acquired by DD Classics #UE1S 25020 has undergone significant mechanical refurbishment with a huge amount of attention to detail paid to the following areas: removing the rear axleand overhauling like new, a completely new brake system with a new master cylinder, discs, callipers, hoses to the front and rear of the car, a complete new exhausts system from the manifolds running through to the rear fantail exhaust pipe, a complete set of cooling hoses and header tank, refurbishmentand correctsetting uo of all 4 carburettors, wishbones, bushes, steering rack gaiters, front and rear dampers plus new chrome throughout are just some of the works carried out to bring the car up to a high spec. Standing proudly on its Chrome wire wheels this particular example is fully prepared on the button, road ready for its new owner. David Browns ambition to take Aston Martin to new heights required a more powerful V8 engine to replace their established straight six. Whilst the DBS went into production in 1967 it wasnt until two years later that the car received the new, more powerful, V8. The V8 powered DBS ensured Aston could offer one of the fastest production cars in the world. Unfortunately, this was not enough to return Aston Martin to profit and as such David Brown sold the company to Company Developments in 1972. After Company Developments acquisition of Aston Martin work started on a comprehensive facelift of the DBSV8. The main visual differences were the adoption of single headlamps and a revised front grille. Now known as the AMV8, the car retained the Bosch mechanical fuel injection system until August 1973, when four twin choke Weber carburettors were fitted, together with updates to the interior trim, a bigger bonnet bulge to clear the carburettor air box and a re-designed fuel tank to allow more luggage space. Powered by the Tadek Marek designed all aluminium 5.3 litre V8 engine producing in excess of 310 bhp, the AMV8 was capable of accelerating from rest to 60 mph in just 6.1 secs and on to a claimed top speed of 140 mph. The Aston Martin V8 offered here at Autostorico is 1974 Series III example which was supplied new in the UK. Finished in Blue metallic with Blue leather interior this rare manual car has covered 121,912 miles. This collectable Aston Martin is made rarer still by the addition of a factory fit sunroof. The car has been in the same family ownership for the last 17 years and during that time has benefited from a mechanical overhaul. The current owner has had the car out in Sardinia for the last two years and has recently driven the car back to the UK without it missing a beat. Whilst the car is mechanically sound it would benefit from some cosmetic attention as the body work is starting to show signs of corrosion. The car comes complete with an owners manual and history file detailing mechanical works completed over the years by the likes of Pugsley & Lewis Ltd, Trinity Engineering and Mike Morgan. The car is also supplied with a number of previous MOTs to corroborate the mileage. Viewing strictly by appointment only.

Now Available at Peter Vardy Heritage we are proud to showcase the 1975 Jenson Interceptor a true gentleman's express. A total of 6,408 Interceptors were produced between 1966 and 1976 of which only 509 were Convertibles. These cars were designed by Carrozzeria Touring with the bodies being made of steel and, in May 1972, the RHD models had increased their engine capacity to 7212cc. This Interceptor comes with an extensive history file that includes numerous invoices, receipts, old MOT certificates and it also includes the Jensen Interceptor handbook and Convertible supplement along with a workshop manual for the car. The indicated mileage of this gorgeous-looking Interceptor is just 25,000 - a plausible though unwarranted figure supported by the sheer quality of the interior, engine bay and underside of the car. The automatic gearbox and torque converter have been replaced in recent times, though just 4,000 miles have been covered in the last 16 years. Finished in lustrous metallic blue, andtrimmed in black leather, this lovely combination of British engineering and American muscle would surely grace any classic car collection and represents a fantastic 'blue chip' investment opportunity.
