The MGA replaced the MG TF 1500 Midget and represented a complete styling break from MG's earlier sports cars. Launched to the public at the 1955 Frankfurt motor show with its radically streamlined steel body the MGA was a big leap forward in technology for MG. Concerned about how such a radically streamlined car would be accepted, MG chose to debut two prototype cars at the Le Mans 24-hour race. The prototyped cars finished a very respectable 5th and 6th in class, powered by the new B Series engine that had recently debuted in the MG Magnette saloon. The 1489 cc engine produced 68 bhp initially, but was soon uprated to 72 bhp. Offering impressive performance with a 0-60 mph time of just 16 seconds and onto a top speed of 98 mph. During its production a total of 101,081 cars were sold with a mere 5869 being produced for the home market. Other significant improvements included hydraulic Lockheed drum brakes all round, rack and pinion steering and independent coil spring suspension to the front andsemi-elliptic springs to the rear. The MGA 1800 Mark 1 Roadster offered here at Autostorico was first registered in 1960. This stunning example is finished in Chariot Red with Black leather interior. The car has two common (for MGA) modifications: Gold standard factory engine exchange for MGB 1800 engine (1975), and a 5 speed synchromesh gearbox which gives the car more modern driving characteristics. The car has recently undergone a full restoration between 2015 and 2017 with post run-in engine tuning by Piper Special Vehicles in Bristol. The most recent work included; engine overhaul / tuning, full service including post restoration snagging, installation of new 5 speed gearbox, new 12v gel battery, installation of seatbelts, new Kenlowe fan. For the bodywork restoration all equipment was removed followed by shot blasting, welding where necessary and painted with industrial chassis paint. Specification highlights include; Original MGA steering wheel, wire wheels with knock off spinners, hood with side screens. The vehicle has seven recorded previous keepers and documentation includes a list from DVLA of previous owners and has much history and many receipts. A truly unique opportunity to own such a stunning example of a true British classic, which will certainly appreciate over time. Viewing strictly by appointment only.

We are delighted to offer this show standard Triumph TR3A onto the market. We have known this car for one year having first seen the car at Malton Show in 2017 where it won 'Best in Show' The car had been subject of a sixteen year rebuild completed in 2016 and since then the TR3A has covered just 800 miles. A wonderful level of detail has gone into the restoration resulting in a first class car. The car has been completed with no expense spared and has been finished to a level that is difficult to achieve. Hours upon hours have been spent in the garage detailing and finishing the car ensuring its totally first class throughout. This Triumph TR3A is a matching numbers car, confirmed from its Heritage certificate. The car has also been painted in its original colour of Sebring White and is completely correct as it left the factory with Red leather trim. The car spent its first forty years in California, supplied new by California Sales Inc, San Francisco and its last owner in the US owned the car fortwenty years in San Jose. The TR arrived in the UK requiring full restoration and photos in the history file show the condition. The car was then fully stripped and treated to a top class nut and bolt restoration. Two years and 350 miles after the restoration the car is quite simply outstanding. The bodywork is exceptional, the paint finish first class, the chrome work perfect and the interior has been beautifully re-trimmed. Full weather equipment is with the car and the boot has been superbly trimmed and the engine bay is show standard. The underside of the car is as impressive with a lovely painted finish. Having been completely rebuilt mechanically, we can confirm the TR3A is top class to drive with excellent steering, handling, braking and the engine and gearbox are both superb contributing to a truly superb driving experience. Mechanical work included stripping and rebuilding the engine and upgrading it with oversized liners as per the TR3B and TR4 engine with a cc of 2138. SU specialistsrebuilt the carburettors, the gearbox was fully overhauled, electronic ignition and a stainless steel exhaust system fitted. The TR was further upgraded with rack and pinion steering and all the brakes and suspension were completely rebuild with all components replaced or re-conditioned. There is no doubt this car has had an unbelievable level of care put into the restoration and finding an example that has clearly been so passionately worked on will be very difficult to find. Finishing touches such as a fully complete correct and original tool roll are also present. Price: 54,995

We are delighted to offer this magnificent, 1960 period Jaguar C Type onto the market. ADX 10 is one of those very special, carefully built recreations that appears remarkably correct with an aged, original but super high-quality feel. Not only does it look and feel absolutely right, it is incredible to drive with outstanding performance and sound. Looking into the history of this car, its quite simple to see why the car is indeed so exceptionally well built with such attention to detail. The car was built in the 1980's by a professional engineer and Proteus founder Jim Marland. The C Type stayed with just the one owner for over thirty years and being an early Proteus car, has added distinguished provenance and is without doubt a highly desirable car that was built next to an original C Type example in order to ensure the exact look and driving experience. The C Type chassis was built with as an exact copy of the original both dimensionally and in its construction, the bodyshell built to perfectionwith exact moulds taken from the original car. All internal bodywork is aluminium including cockpit and bulkhead, alloy louvres and mounting points are present and the underside alloy. The engine is a correct 3.4 Jaguar unit with Rob Beere Racing 9:1 Powertune 3.4 pistons and standard bearings and performance is further enhanced with modified cams, ported head and original C Type exhaust manifolds and high capacity sump. The engine is exceptional with ferocious power, superb oil pressure and the four-speed moss gearbox with overdrive makes for a wonderful long distance touring car. The Jaguar boasts the correct rear suspension, disc brakes, shocks all round, live rear axle and special order front and rear offset C Type hubs to enable fitting of the correct 16' C-Type wheels. This wonderful creation has all correct instrumentation and switch gear, C Type steering wheel, hand made cloth covered wiring loom from the original suppliers, correct fixing straps, fuse boxes, light unit and bonnet locksmaking this such a correct period looking example. In May 2019 the Jaguar was taken to Guy Broad for over 6,000 of work that included rebuilding the cylinder head with new valve guides, new springs, cam bearings plus skimming and polishing. All pedals and fittings were removed and re-fitted to a more forward position for a more comfortable driving position, push rods were re-manufactured and the accelerator re made as a cable operation conversion. Finally the engine was tuned, treated to an engine oil change and correct number plate painting attended too. As result, the C Type is now ready to go, fully prepared, driving superbly and ready to tour the UK and Europe. ADX 10 comes with a detailed history file but most importantly, this carefully prepared car looks and drives like a true, genuine C Type, something today that is incredibly difficult to achieve. Price: 89,995
