This is a truly wonderful find and most certainly a car for the discerning buyer who understands the rarity, value and qualities in finding a car so original and correct. Not only is this genuine 3.5 Litre DHC Jaguar MKIV the most original 1940's or 1950 'Jaguar we have seen, it has only covered a genuine 78,000 miles from new and has never required dismantling or fully restoring and is a true time warp in strong mechanical condition. LHU 616 was first registered on 31st August 1948 and left the factory in Suede Green. It was supplied new by Western Motors (Bristol) to Benjamin Escott Fish in the affluent suburb of Redland in Bristol. The first owner was very elderly and in June 1949 the Jaguar was sold to A.W Kelly in the Ashley Down area of Bristol. Nineteen years later in 1968 the Jaguar sold to J.A Venn just a mile or two away in the Bristol 9 area. In 1970 LHU 616 was registered to its fourth owner in the City of Bath and until 2015 the Jaguar had been owned by the same family, husband andthen wife. Three years ago we sold the Jaguar to the last owner who has covered around 1000 faultless miles in the car and we are now delighted to have this wonderful Jaguar back with us. This is such a special car in terms of its originality, low mileage and the long term family ownership further enhances the desirability of this rare DHC Jaguar. LHU 616 has a comprehensive history file that includes 30 MOT certificates dating back to 1968. The Jaguar has had brief spells off the road but was regularly used for short journeys with the mileage from the early MOT's at 74558 to today's mileage of over 78,000 proving this. We also have 30 tax discs dating back to 1953 and a Bath and West Chronicle newspaper article related to the car in 1989. Further paperwork tells us the Jaguar was entered in the Jaguar Driver's Club Concours d'elegance rally at Beaulieu in May 1992 and the vehicle took second place. The Jaguar Driver's Club correspondence from the early 1990's also confirm the car as original withspecial original equipment in place to include Ace wheel discs, mounted hand lamps and windtone horns. The last owner treated the Jaguar to a rebuilt set of wire wheels and new tyres, Ace wheel discs are still with the car. We have receipts for various maintenance and service items over the years but the most significant invoices dates back to the 1980's when the Jaguar engine was subject of a major rebuild. The engine was totally stripped down and block was treated to new liners and new pistons. The block face was surface ground and worn camshaft bearings replaced. The crankshaft was re-ground and main and big end bearings were replaced. The timing chain was also replaced and the cylinder head was rebuilt with new valves and guides. The oil pump was stripped and rebuilt and all new gaskets fitted. Further mechanical work at this point included a new clutch, radiator, water pump rebuild and new kingpins. We can report that today, LHU 616 drives superbly with a strong engine holding excellent oilpressure. The car cruises comfortably, handles and steers well and brakes are efficient. The four speed gearbox changes up and down smoothly and the Jaguar is a true delight to drive. Whilst covering very low mileages annually, the Jaguar has been used regularly over the past three years and comes to us on the button and driving superbly. LHU 616 has so much character, patina and honesty. The paint is old, faded and there are areas that have had local paintwork many, many years ago and we've have long considered painting the car and taking it to a top class finish. Considering there may not be another highly original example like this in the World, we've decided to leave the paintwork alone and leave this decision to the next custodian. We would enjoy being involved in any cosmetic improvements so we are happy to discuss painting the car for the next owner if desired. Importantly the body is excellent, strong and has straight panels and it is clear the car has had a sheltered life. It has never beenleft to deteriorate, get damp and has clearly spent most of its life in a dry garage. The underside is excellent, the car structurally strong and the bright work not perfect but on the whole, very good. The car has an older hood in very good order with no tears and the interior is just an absolute delight. The leather is totally original and wonderful with lovely aged creases and nicely faded colour. It looks how it should; it has the smell of original leather and is very impressive. Door cards are original, woodwork is lovely and original, the correct gauges are in excellent order, the tool kit is in place and the carpets are very good consdering their age. This really is a remarkable find and there are not many 1940's Jaguar's with this level of originality left. With only around 184 genuine RHD 3.5 DHC's ever made, LHU 616, number 79 offers a wonderful opportunity for the collector and enthusiast. Price: 99,995

We are delighted to offer this magnificent, 1960 period Jaguar C Type onto the market. ADX 10 is one of those very special, carefully built recreations that appears remarkably correct with an aged, original but super high-quality feel. Not only does it look and feel absolutely right, it is incredible to drive with outstanding performance and sound. Looking into the history of this car, its quite simple to see why the car is indeed so exceptionally well built with such attention to detail. The car was built in the 1980's by a professional engineer and Proteus founder Jim Marland. The C Type stayed with just the one owner for over thirty years and being an early Proteus car, has added distinguished provenance and is without doubt a highly desirable car that was built next to an original C Type example in order to ensure the exact look and driving experience. The C Type chassis was built with as an exact copy of the original both dimensionally and in its construction, the bodyshell built to perfectionwith exact moulds taken from the original car. All internal bodywork is aluminium including cockpit and bulkhead, alloy louvres and mounting points are present and the underside alloy. The engine is a correct 3.4 Jaguar unit with Rob Beere Racing 9:1 Powertune 3.4 pistons and standard bearings and performance is further enhanced with modified cams, ported head and original C Type exhaust manifolds and high capacity sump. The engine is exceptional with ferocious power, superb oil pressure and the four-speed moss gearbox with overdrive makes for a wonderful long distance touring car. The Jaguar boasts the correct rear suspension, disc brakes, shocks all round, live rear axle and special order front and rear offset C Type hubs to enable fitting of the correct 16' C-Type wheels. This wonderful creation has all correct instrumentation and switch gear, C Type steering wheel, hand made cloth covered wiring loom from the original suppliers, correct fixing straps, fuse boxes, light unit and bonnet locksmaking this such a correct period looking example. In May 2019 the Jaguar was taken to Guy Broad for over 6,000 of work that included rebuilding the cylinder head with new valve guides, new springs, cam bearings plus skimming and polishing. All pedals and fittings were removed and re-fitted to a more forward position for a more comfortable driving position, push rods were re-manufactured and the accelerator re made as a cable operation conversion. Finally the engine was tuned, treated to an engine oil change and correct number plate painting attended too. As result, the C Type is now ready to go, fully prepared, driving superbly and ready to tour the UK and Europe. ADX 10 comes with a detailed history file but most importantly, this carefully prepared car looks and drives like a true, genuine C Type, something today that is incredibly difficult to achieve. This is a superb driving, ultra-usable and very genuine UK supplied, matching numbers Jaguar E-Type Roadster that's still in its original factory colours of Willow Green with Black leather upholstery. OOV 996G was manufactured on the 28th October 1968 and supplied new by Birmingham dealer P J Evans and comes with an impressive history dating back to the mid 1970's. The Jaguar was in the hands of a Sutton Coldfield based antiques dealer during the early 1970's and in 1975 sold to a Staffordshire based owner who kept the E-Type for 19 years. In 1994, the E-Type was sold by the E-Type Centre to a Jaguar enthusiast in Wakefield and after 22 years of ownership the car was sold to the most recent owner, a retired motor engineer who lived just a few streets away. This very genuine original car has had just three owners in 44 years and has been driven over to us faultlessly from West Yorkshire. When the E-Type was purchased by its Staffordshire based owner in 1975, the E-Type had covered 63,000 miles injust seven years. In 1979 the car was subject of substantial restoration work to include a new bonnet, new underbody floor pans, new sills, a complete re-paint in the cars original colour (invoice from 1979 on file), re-trim as per original, renewed chrome work and during the early 1980's was treated to an engine rebuild with the mileage at 80,000 by this point. A large file of Martin Robey invoices are on file throughout the 1980's and the engine rebuild was completed by Autosprint Racing Engines in Birmingham. The engine was treated to new pistons, main and big end bearings, re-ground crankshaft, performance camshaft, cam bearings, cam followers, new valve guides, lightened flywheel, new oil pump and timing chain. Remarkably, whilst maintaining regular but very low usage, the E-Type has only covered 8000 miles since its mid 1980's engine rebuild, all verified in the vehicle history file. From 1994 to 2016 with its next owner, the E-Type covered 5000 miles with MOT's and tax discs on file showingthe car was in annual use. Over this period the car was subject of regular expenditure with invoices on file for upkeep and maintenance. In 1994 the E-Type was treated to further bodywork, wheel arches were taken back to bare metal and treated to repairs and paintwork as necessary. Invoices throughout the 1990's detail various mechanical work to the braking, suspension, steering, electric and fuel system and in 2008 The Hutson Motor Company rebuilt the carburettors, fitted new steering rack mountings, fitted a new fuel pump and replaced the bonnet struts. In 2015 shortly before selling the car after 22 years of ownership, over 2000 was spent on new engine mountings, new fulcrum shaft bearings, new rear hub inner seals, various new ignition items, new filters, new choke and speedo cables. In 2016 the most recent owner purchased the E-Type and has covered around 1000 faultless miles in the car. As a retired motor engineer with ramp facilities at home, the car was treated to a thorough going over toinclude removal of the rear subframe cage which was subsequently rebuilt with new brakes and suspension springs. OOV 996G has driven over 60 miles to us and performed faultlessly. The engine is incredibly strong and fit, it holds excellent oil pressure, is very impressive under load offering brilliant performance and cooling remains correct. The E-Type sat for sometime in York traffic on route to us and remained at correct temperature. The E-Type holds the road superbly, braking is sharp and efficient, and the car offers a fabulous driving experience. OOV 996G presents very well and as an honest original car. Paintwork is now over 30 years old and has a lovely deep shine and patina. The bodywork is of a very good standard and the various blemishes and imperfections really highlight what an honest, older restoration this really is. The bonnet is structurally outstanding and the 1994 waxoyl is still in place, still doing its job. This is a really solid, straight and usable car and is a great basisfor improvement but also ideal for putting into immediate regular use or long distance touring. The hood is excellent, the chrome work and chrome wire wheels are superb and the interior having been last trimmed in the 1970's looks nicely aged, honest and naturally has a true patina. All the gauges work, the car appears very correct and it most certainly will not disappoint if looking for a usable, genuine UK E-Type. This really is a great buy; its in a superb rare period colour, it drives beautifully, it comes with excellent provenance, history, matching numbers and is offered onto the market a very sensible price.
