1953 Jaguar XK120 DHC RHD Chassis number: 667106 Registration number: XK120 DHC RHD A rare Jaguar restored some years ago for a Saatchi & Saatchi executive. The car is painted in Cotswold Blue with a two tone blue & cream leather interior. This is a lightly patinated car but in very solid & fine order with much money having recently spent to put it in tip top mechanical order. Just 295 Examples wwre made of the Right Hand Drive, Drop head Coupe version making it a rare car indeed. The car looks very very period fitted with spats to the rear wheels & pressed wheels shod with new Blockley tyres all round. This is a very presentable car in excellent driving condition coming from a small collection of beautifully maintained cars. A good assortment of bills comes with the car attesting to proper regular maintenance. The rear lamps have recently been replaced with new "Old Stock" items sourced at Beaulieu to replace the pitted originals. The interior woodwork is original as it left the factory. Two 6 volt new batteries have just been installed. A leather bonnet strap completes the period looking ensemble. .. Vintage and Prestige are proud to offer this LHD 1958 Austin Healey 100/6 For Sale. The BN6 was the final development of the Healey 100/6 two-seater roadster before being replaced by the Healey 3000 (BT7) in 1959. Chassis no BN6-L/3516 was built at MG's Abingdon works between the 30th September and 2nd October 1958 and shipped to a dealer in San Francisco on the 13th of October. After 32 years of enjoying life in the States and with 54,000 miles on the odometer, this 'Big Healey' crossed the Atlantic once again and joined the collection of a Channel Islands resident who is a long-term Healey enthusiast. He decided to carry out a 'nut and bolt' restoration with great attention to detail hoping to achieve a Concours winning standard. The six-port, cylinder head has been reconditioned and converted to unleaded compatibility with new valves, valve seats, seals etc. The block was cleaned inside and out, re-bored to +0.020 and fitted with new pistons and rings and top end bearings. The crank shaft was within 0.0005 of original so polished only and refitted with new bearings, thrust washers, big end bolts and main bearing nuts. The timing chain and tensioner have been replaced and the water pump reconditioned. All oil and waterways in the block and cylinder head were cleaned and the core plugs renewed. The rear axle and differential were dismantled, cleaned and assembled using new parts where required, and the clutch and gearbox were fully reconditioned using new parts. The steering and braking systems have been completely overhauled and new tyres fitted. All electrical components have either been overhauled or replaced with new items including a complete new braided wiring harness. A new aluminium fuel tank has been fitted along with new fuel lines and fuel pump and the carburettors have been fully reconditioned and set up appropriately. A complete, stainless steel, exhaust system and brackets were fitted. Whenever possible, the original exterior trim has been re-chromed to a very high standard with new brightwork added only when necessary. The hood and tonneau cover are new, the side screens have been reconditioned, and the windscreen glass is new. The interior was completely retrimmed to an extremely high standard and features Navy Blue leather upholstery with white piping and well-fitted carpets in Navy Blue Finally, after weeks of preparation, the Healey was carefully repainted in period Ice Blue over Old English White and the tight shut lines and depth of finish will reward any inspection. This Austin Healey is as immaculate underneath as it is on top. Since this extensive restoration to Concours standard, the car has been driven approximately 200 miles in the Jersey sunshine and any little rattles or niggles eradicated. This Austin Healey comes to us in immaculate Concours condition and is in our showroom ready for viewing. Vintage and Prestige are proud to offer this 1930 MG 18/80 MK I Speed Model For Sale. Registration: WL 7125 Chassis no: 6630 Engine no: JC10792 Mileage: 17,000 Since Restoration In the mid to late 1920s MG was still very much under the wing of parent company Morris and its owner William, but boss Cecil Kimber was keen to establish it as a completely separate company with unique products, as opposed to modified versions of more mundane Morris machines. The 18/80 MG Six of 1928 was hence the first genuine MG with its bespoke chassis and importantly trademark MG radiator surround. Kimbers marketing chaps made plenty of this fact, stressing it was quite unlike anything on offer from Morris and the only place one could experience the new (almost) 2.5 litre straight six engine. In a move that was the polar opposite of what some would describe as the cynical badge engineering foisted upon MG in the post Second War years, only the very best of materials were employed with huge attention to detail, some of which was invisible once the car was built. The 18/80 was fitted with the 2468cc six cylinder engine derived from the stillborn Morris Light Six unit. Substantially redesigned with a new block and twin horizontal SU carburettors tucked down below the exhaust manifold, its duplex chain driven overhead camshaft helped it to an impressive 60 bhp with bucket loads of torque to match. A cork clutch transferred the engines output to the rear axle via a three speed crash gearbox and torque tube. Bespoke MG front and rear axles were suspended via semi-elliptic springs damped by Mr Hartfods excellent friction units and while early examples utilised Perrot-style brakes, these were later replaced by cables assisted by a Clayton Dewandre Servo resulting in a highly effective system. The Marles frictionless steering gear came in for almost universal acclaim and the relatively large machines handling and road-holding was praised effusively. The end result was a very expensive vehicle (£695 in 1930) and though the headline grabbing MG Midgets won races and broke records left right and centre, the 18/80 was still a quick car. Only some five-hundred made in total, production ended early in 1931, stocks of new examples were still available well into 1934. WL 7125 began life in 1930 wearing saloon coachwork, she was re-bodied in the 50s to the open tourer style you see today. In 2001 under the ownership of John Hart (an aeronautical engineer) a full restoration was undertaken, stripped back down to the bare chassis, every inch was fettled to perfection thus resulting in a truly magnificent car. The Engine has covered a mere 17,000 since the restoration, amounting to 1k a year. She still runs beautifully and pulls a long with an impressive amount of torque. The body is finished in Black and Blue; Black to the wings and fabric body and Blue to the wings, wheels and interior. This is a striking and period correct colour combination that truly stands out in heavy sunshine. The current owner (a friend of Mr Hart) purchased the 18/80 in 2009 and has kept up the highly level of maintenance that was carried out under Mr Harts tenure.
