Unique: Being the only one of its kind; unlike anything else. Revealed in 2007 at Aston Martins Design Studios opening party, the unique Vantage RS concept was shown by CEO Dr Ulrich Bez and resulted in a rush of customer interest and orders placed. Here was Aston Martins smallest car with their biggest and most powerful engine installed. Fitted with a DBRS9 detuned engine producing 585 bhp, dry sump lubrication, use of carbon fibre materials and a power to weight ratio of 375bhp per ton, details were scant on reveal. The Vantage RS was displayed by Aston Martin at the Geneva Motor show in 2008, the Goodwood Festival of Speed that year and featured on the cover of Top Gear and Evo magazines. Tested at Circuit Paul Ricard in 2008, the Vantage RS was timed through the speed trap at 175 mph, eclipsing the speed of Aston Martin Racings GT2, GT3 and GT4 racing machinery, tested simultaneously. The 580 bhp and 690 Nm of torque available in the 1500 kg car, proved almost too fast to consider allowing the public to buy one! The Vantage RS utilised the aluminium constructed VH chassis architecture pioneered by Dr Bez, in this instance fitted with an Aston Martin Racing C-Spec DBRS9 engine, utilising dry sump lubrication and highly specified components including tuned length exhaust manifolds, forged pistons and strengthened steel con-rods, with revised lift and duration camshafts and modified cylinder heads. This extraordinary power is transmitted through a manually operated 6-speed transaxle with limited slip differential. Bodied in aluminium and carbon fibre panels some being unique to the Vantage RS, the car was shown with carbon interior fixtures and fittings, Alcantara trim and exclusive lightweight materials still fitted. The total weight of under 1500 kg, being some 200 kg under the published weight of the production V12 Vantage, lighter still than the later Vantage GT12. Later to become the V12 Vantage a distinctly diluted form of the RS Concept, the model went on to become one of Aston Martins most popular and revered cars, in production until 2018. Road registered in the UK in 2014, this is one of the very few Aston Martin concept cars, to enter into private ownership and therefore represents a unique opportunity for international collectors to acquire a remarkable and original concept, of what was to become one of Aston Martins greatest cars of the modern era. Road registered, in pristine condition and maintained by Aston Martins special vehicle operations, we are delighted to bring to market this unique original concept car. Complete with a spares package, history file with extensive documentation and photography, this very special and highly desirable car is available for now, at our Hertfordshire home.

*** New Price *** A truly spectacular example of these wonderfully elegant 'slope back' Bentley Continental's - and most unusually this one sports a pair of rear wheel Spats too The history folder is quite excellent, with original correspondence from the very earliest portion of BC41BG's life Originally supplied through Mayfair and World renowned dealership Jack Barclay there are within the folder many service records, internal memorandums and also the original sales contract - its all really quite charming to behold The first owner exchanged his 'D' series 'R' Type Continental plus a wad of money for this, the then latest and most up to date Continental available at the time - how times change and now his original car is worth twice the value of this, the replacement I wonder which is really the better car - the S1 Fastback is certainly far rarer than the 'R' Type Continental JB's supplied her to the first 3 owners, it would seem from the papers and serviced her throughout - by 1960 over 52.000 miles had been covered It's funny how many visitors ask us here in the Mews whether these old cars can cope with regular use - when you look at the number of vehicles which have covered over 17.000 per annum, like this did in the first 3 years, it really makes one wonder what they thought these cars, or their owners, did all those years ago? The last two custodians of BC41BG are very well known to us here in Kensington, the former carrying out a full suspension overhaul as well as a complete engine rebuild at his local specialists near to his home in Colchester (5.000 miles only since these works were completed) and the most recent engaged us to strip her to bare metal, repaint her beautifully (making the new rear wheel Spats at this time) and also to completely re-trim the interior and boot compartments She presents, almost to perfection, whilst on the road she performs with quite astonishing aplomb - the freshly rebuilt engine is delightfully quiet and smooth, matching perfectly the seemless gearbox operation The interior is, to quote the wonderful Noel Coward, "quite devine" and a most comfortable place in which to travel; again it has to be acknowledged that the S1 Continental does take a lot of beating All in all this is one of the very nicest, if not possibly the very nicest, Fastback S1 we have come across and for the next custodian, we can confirm she gathers rather a lot of attention, from all the right people and in just the right way too

The history of the 250 GTE 2+2 is arguably one of the richest in Ferrari's extensive history. This car was designed specifically to appeal to the sector of the car market which was largely dominated by brands such as Aston Martin & Maserati throughout the late 50's and early 60's. The 250 GTE saw its debut at the 1960 Le Mans 24-Hour race where it served, in prototype form, as the race director's car and saw it's official unveiling at the Paris Salon later that same year. Of course there had been four seater Ferraris before the 250 GTE, the Ghia, Touring and Vignale all boasted four seats as early as the 50's; however the fact that they were based on a chassis that wasn't conceived with passenger carrying in mind meant that they were somewhat compromised. The car makes use of independent front suspension, a live rear axle and a four speed manual/overdrive gearbox to complete the basic chassis specification. These were coupled with a compact Colombo designed Tipo 128E V12 engine producing 240bhp toensure that the larger car did not suffer from any undue decreases in performance. The car we are pleased to offer was delivered new in 1963 with a Red exterior over Tan. This wonderful example sits today in the stunning colour scheme of Dark Blue over Tan Leather. The car is a matching numbers example and retains superb historical documents, including the original license of the car, original maintenance book, and the November 2018 issue of 'Epocauto' magazine, containing an article on the car. This 250 GTE would make a brilliant addition to any Ferrari collection and presents itself as a genuine investment opportunity being one of the last truly undervalued 250 series Ferraris!
