1936 Rolls-Royce Phantom III Sedanca de Ville by Gurney Nutting. Chassis number: 3AX109 Registration Number: DXE782 A Beautifully restored Phantom 3 which represnts the Last word in Opulence & elegance. Extensive works were done to it to put it into the wonderful condition we find it in today. The engine in particular is a paragon of unruffled silence simply wafting the car down the road & running cool at all times. Coach work is by noted builder J Gurney Nutting & takes the form of a spacious & Capacious sedanca De ville. The car is finished iin Old English White with beige wings & wheel spats, a scheme which really suits the car. To the interior is cognac hide throughout & re-finished highly figured burr walnut. The car has occasional seats making this a full seven seat conveyance should one have need to do so. Under the bonnet the engine is detailed to show standards. Pleasingly a complete set of both large & small tools come with the car in thier appointed places. An original Jack Barclay sales invoice comes with the car & the Rolls Royce Chassis records show the car to have been built for The Most Noble, The Marquess Of Queensbury. He kept the car for 5 years before trading it in during 1940 to Jack Barclay where it was purchased by a Mr Donaldson of Liverpool who part exchanged his mercedes 500K Cabriolet, such a car not being particularly "In Vogue" given that it was 1940. Donaldson was clearly able to source petrol during the war as the car was fitted with blackout equipent to the lights. Indicated mileage is 60,000 which I would believe to be correct given the absence of wear to the control pedals & the taut tight feel of the driving experience. The authoratative Book "The forgotten Engine" by Steven Bodddice detailing the Correct Rebuild & Maintenance proceedures for the V12 motor comes with the car as does the original Rolls Royce Manual. Thhe car has in recent years formed part of a small collection & has been very sparingly used by thhe last owner for high days & holidays. 1929 Bentley 4½-Litre (5.3) Supercharged Tourer Recreation by Graham Moss. Chassis Number: RC2209 Registration number: SV8387 An exacting Recreation by renowned expert Graham Moss finished in August of 2000. This car was built up on an RC chassis using as many original components as possible to ultimate blower Bentley Specification. During the process the engine was upgraded to 5.3 litre capacity with as many original components as possible; when they were not available, they were remanufactured, often to improved, more powerful or durable versions of the original designs. The car was built around a new 130-in. wheelbase chassis, with some original components. Its engine was created from the best available parts, including a new 5.3-liter cylinder block with a new magnesium Birkin Blower racing-style crankcase and winged sump, counterbalanced billet crankcase and connecting rods, modern shell bearings and forged pistons, and a new, correct supercharger. The engine is mated to an original 4½-Litre D type gearbox, with overdrive fitted for easy highway use, and a 3-Litre steering box converted to 4½-Litre specifications. The front axle and steering arms are also original components, as are the back axle casing, the self-wrapping brakes, the instruments, the dynamo and starter motor, and the pedal shaft, while the brake drums and wheels were remanufactured to original specifications. Invoices for Moss work on file deeply detail the level of workmanship invested into this dream project. This Bentley will make a fantastic rally machine or simply a sorted fast road car for the annual dash down to LeMans. We will conduct a full photo shoot upon its arrival in December. .. Vintage and Prestige are proud to offer this 1975 Rolls-Royce Phantom VI Limousine by Mulliner Park Ward For Sale. Reg OFX442P Chassis PRH4824, engine P4824 Purchased in 2011 after several years of searching for a PV or PVI but never finding one in sufficiently good useable condition. Rolls-Royce continued to produce a chassis for coach-built bodies from 1968 to 1992 but only 374 were supplied, with over 70 to kings and queens and heads of state (seven of these being fully armour plated), 19 to public corporations, 18 to their music, stage and screen clientele, and the remainder to businesses and private owners. Although one started in 1971 was not finished until 1993, and another was destroyed by fire on board a ship delivering to South Africa. For the majority of these magnificent carriages the body was individually built to the new owners requirements. Ours was ordered in July 1973 and eventually supplied over two years later to the Alexander Howden Group (insurance company in London) in August 1975. In the early 1980s it became the Lord Mayor of Manchesters official transport with it being used by Princess Anne and the Duchess of Kent whilst on official engagements in the area. A mileage log for the latter part of their ownership shows mileage at that time to be in the 50,000s. It then passed to a Huddersfield based businessman who had a small fleet of Phantoms and after a full respray to their house colours of Ascot Grey was used for business use. They ceased using the Phantoms in the early 2000s but retained this one as they wanted to complete a comprehensive restoration but in 2011 they lost some of their storage space and hence we were able to purchase it. We were told it had recently had a full gearbox overhaul by specialist Gary Whitehead. It appears not to have been used much after this work. On purchase it went to Harvey Wash for servicing and to a local bodywork specialist for comprehensive metal replacement of lower wings including inner rears, sill ends and lower front body mounts. The car was thoroughly gone through with any corroded areas being treated or replaced, this work included new front coil springs (now unavailable), one front king pin, upper and lower pivot pins, rebuilt rear springs etc. Another specialist Chris Staples rebuilt the heating and demisting systems. In 2015 Phantom specialist John Smith fully rebuilt the original engine, with new bearings, rings, seals etc and uprated rear crank oil seal using original parts from R-R and this is now reinstalled into the car. The front section of exhaust was also replaced. The interior has needed no attention being in excellent Baroda Blue wool cloth, the same as the Queens. With a brand new rebuilt engine and the other work completed in the last three years this vehicle is in top condition. ..
