Originally debuted at the 1984 Paris Auto Show, the Testarossa embraced everything that was great about Maranello's finest. A car that was unashamedly built for drivers, with a screaming top note, eye catching bodywork and the unmistakable Italian flair that only Ferrari is capable of injecting into their vehicles. The Testarossa can trace its roots back to the faults of the 512BBi, many who drove the car noted that cabin temperatures could get relatively high due to the plumbing of the front mounted radiator unit that ran through the cabin in order to pair with the mid-mounted engine. Secondly many noted a lack of useable luggage space, a problem that Pininfarina combated by making the car slightly larger in order to accommodate more storage space. The design of the car at Pininfarina was led largely by the legendary Leonardo Fioravanti, who applied his encyclopaedic knowledge of aerodynamics to ensuring that the car was as visually stunning as it was functionally sound. The greatest example ofthis in practice was the design of the iconic side intakes present on the Testarossa models, these intakes served two main functions; firstly they drew clean air to the side mounted radiators, this air was then re-directed upwards and out of the rear of the car by a series of channels located on the engine lid and tail of the car. The F512M was the final version of the Testarossa, and only 501 were produced. It features a longitudinally mounted 4.9L Flat-12 producing 500Nm of Torque at 5,500rpm and a maximum power output of 440hp at 6,750rpm. Each cylinder has four valves, lubricated by a dry sump system with a compression ratio of 10.40:1. The new titanium connecting rods and crankshaft (which altogether weigh around 7.26kg less than their predecessors) mean that the car is electronically limited to 7,500rpm. 0-62mph in 4.7 seconds, a standing quarter mile time of 10.2 seconds and a maximum speed of 196mph are figures that many other modern day supercars envy, 25 years after this car first saw theroads. This car is unbelievably desirable, unbelievably collectable and is sure to continue to appreciate in value as time moves on. The car we're offering is showing under 12,500 miles from new and is finished in Rosso Corsa with Nero interior, including the highly desirable carbon racing seats with red inserts.

Vintage and prestige are proud to offer this 1931 Lagonda 2-Litre Supercharged Low Chassis Tourer For Sale. Registration: PL 5560 Chassis no: OH9795 Engine no: 1541 Type: 2B . T2 Having established its reputation by winning the Moscow - St Petersburg Reliability Trial of 1910 with a 30hp six, Lagonda concentrated mainly on the production of light cars before reverting to sporting and luxury models in the mid-1920s with the introduction of the 14/60. The latter abandoned the firm's traditional in-unit gearbox in favour of a midships-mounted transmission, but of greater technical interest was the engine. Designed by Arthur Davidson, the 2-litre 'four' featured twin camshafts, mounted high in the block, operating inclined valves in hemispherical combustion chambers. Power output of this advanced design was a highly respectable 60bhp. For the 1929 season, a 'low chassis' Speed Model was introduced, featuring revisions to the frame's front end and a higher-compression engine fitted with twin carburettors. The Speed Model had resulted from the factory's Le Mans effort of 1928, when the 2-Litre driven by Andre D'Erlanger and Douglas Hawkes had finished 11th overall in the 24-Hour endurance classic. A classic example of racing improving the breed, the 'low chassis' 2-litre possessed markedly superior handling characteristics courtesy of its lower centre of gravity. For all its virtues, Davidson's engine was limited by its tortuous induction tracts and in 1930 a supercharged version was introduced to overcome this deficiency. The 'blower' was mounted vertically in front of the engine, which was fitted with a stronger crankshaft, while a 3-litre rear axle beefed up the transmission. A Powerplus supercharger was specified at first, but most 'blown' 2-litres came with a Cozette. Thus equipped, a 'low chassis' 2-litre was capable of up to 90mph. PL 5560 is in our showroom ready for viewing and offered in excellent all matching numbers condition. Mechanically the engine is a work of art, and after a fastidious restoration just by listening you can tell that the quality of craftsmanship has been to the highest of levels. Appearance wise the engine bay is a clean as the body and interior. Inside she is trimmed in maroon leather which beautifully contrasts the black exterior. The rear seats are latched at the top which conceals a full array of side screens allowing for wet weather motoring without a soaked right arm and disgruntled passengers. A VSCC certificate is also provided showing that this model has not been modified in any way other than practical hazard lights allowing this to pass the German TUV test. 1931 Lagonda 2 Litre T2 Low Chassis Tourer. Chassis number: OH10038 Registration number: AR-02-85 Immaculately restored, this car started life as a T2 low chassis tourer as indeed it is today. The car has covered 10,000 miles or so since the engine was rebuilt & the body fully restored covering limited mileage each year. To the interior is Maroon leather throughout in simply lovely condition along with maroon carpets. A brand new black full tonneau cover keeps the elements at bay. The exterior is black fabric to the body panels along with black painted wings & bonnet. The chassis is burgundy making for a very fine looking ensemble indeed. The car comes with a new hood & newly refinished side screens. A Kenlowe fan is fitted, but the owner reports he has never had recourse to use it as the car runs cool in hot weather & traffic. Mechanically the car is superb. The rebuilt twin cam engine fires readily & provides ample power for the light body. The car has the cycle type wings that turn in unision with the front wheels. The original tear drop running boards are also in situ. This is an impeccable car that has been superbly looked after since restoration. We will be doing a full set of pictures as soon as the car arrives with us towards the end of April unless already sold. It comes with a good assortment of paperwork, correspondence & pictures dating back to the Early 1950's A gallery of large high-resolution pictures may be viewed on our website. ![CDATA[The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is a two seater luxury supercar developed by Mercedes- Benz-AMG to replace the SLR McLaren and is the first Mercedes-Benz designed in-house by AMG. Described as the spiritual successor to the Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing, clearly the design inspiration also drew on the spectacular 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupé from 1955. Unveiled in 2009 with sales starting in mid 2010 for European customers, the SLS gained instant fame with its use as the safety car in the 2010 Formula One season and being the cover car for the widely acclaimed Gran Turismo 5 Playstation 3 computer game. The engine is a dry sump 6.3 litre AMG V8 with quad camshafts, four valves per cylinder, forged pistons, forged and balanced crankshaft and Bosch fuel injection which produces a colossal 563bhp at 6800rpm. This equates to impressive performance figures with 0 to 62 mph in 3.8 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 197mph. This righthand drive SLS is finished in the striking colourcombination of Obsidian Black with Anthracite Black Nappa leather interior. Such cars are well equipped as standard, however the list of options fitted to this SLS is impressive including; memory package, AMG performance steering wheel, tyre pressure monitors, adjustable suspension, heated and electronically operated seats and blind spot assist. The cockpit area of such cars is an area of beauty with great ergonomics offering the driver a truly memorable experience. This unmarked example offers a great opportunity to purchase a Big-Benz following in the companys tradition of ultimate roadsters, blending breathtaking performance with superb driving characteristics.]]

The 365 GTC/4 shares the chassis, wheelbase, suspension and engine with the 365 Daytona, however in the pininfarina designed 2+2 body. To accommodate the more practical nature of the car, the engine was slightly detuned from the Daytona to 340bhp, there was a slightly softer suspension set-up and an inclusion of power-steering. However, with only 500 being produced an such a close relationship with the iconic Daytona, the 365 GTC/4 has remained an under-appreciated and under-valued car, making it an enticing investment opportunity. The special example we are offering today is currently finished in Nero over Nero; one of the strongest combinations for the car. However the car was originally finished in an extremely interesting colour of Oro Kelso (Gold) over a Pelle Nera Cogolo the car still dons today. The car was supplied new to Modern Classic Motors in Reno, Nevada but has subsequently spent the majority of its recent life back in Europe and sits in full European specification, French to bespecific as highlighted by the stunning yellow lights. The car is also equipped with an extremely rare factory fitted sunroof, which we have never seen on another example! Complete with recently Classiche Certification from the factory, this GTC/4 is showing just under 14,500 miles and sits in very good and original condition all round, with the interior showing fantastic patina and the mechanicals as one would expect for such a beautiful Ferrari of the 70s. For many the GTC/4 is a much nicer car to own and drive than the more famous Daytona; and when this is combined by the limited production run and figures, they certainly present a fantastic argument as being the finest 70s Ferrari to own and also invest.

1957 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud 1 Drop Head Coupe. Chassis number: SBC118 Registration number: OBC253 (Belgium.) 'Luxury clothed in aluminium', chassis number 'SBC 118' was constructed to H J Mulliner's design number '7410'. Mulliner completed only 21 drophead coupés on the 'Silver Cloud I' chassis (11 left-hand and 10 right-hand drive). Mentioned in the book 'Original Rolls-Royce & Bentley 1946-69' by James Taylor, 'SBC 118' was ordered by J P W Maynard Esq of Fulmer, Buckinghamshire through London dealership George Newman Ltd. First registered on 18th April 1957, the car was delivered with the optional power-assisted steering and power-operated hood, both of which remain in working condition today. In February 1961 the Rolls-Royce was bought by one M E Kirkpatrick of Lowesby Hall, Billsdon, Leicestershire, passing in 1984 to Richard C Himmel in the USA. Based in Chicago, Richard Himmel enjoyed a successful career as an interior designer during the 1960s and 1970s, working for clients including Muhammad Ali, the Playboy Club, and the Chicago Sun-Times' famous gossip columnist, Irv Kupcinet. Later on Richard and Elinor Himmel moved with their children to Palm Beach, Florida, and there are photographs of the Rolls-Royce in Florida on file. The Himmels kept the Silver Cloud until 1998 when it was bought by the current vendor in Holland. When the current owner purchased the car it was in a good driving condition though showing signs of age. Accordingly, the owner commissioned an extensive restoration to the highest standard, which was carried out by Noblehouse in the Netherlands. The exterior colour scheme is a very attractive dark blue with matching hood and beige interior, which it retains today. The restoration was finished in 2000 and the Rolls-Royce registered for the road in Belgium. Since then it has been used regularly but only in good weather, covering around 15,000 miles over the course of the last 18 years. This Silver Cloud has been maintained meticulously, receiving regular servicing at a noted Belgian Classic car garage. Recently the rear axle was renewed and the final drive ratio changed to enable high-speed cruising at reduced revs, while the engine, cooling system, steering mechanism, and ventilation system were checked over by Leo Stoffels in the Netherlands, as confirmed by bills on file totalling over 15,000. Accompanying documentation also includes copies of the Rolls-Royce and Mulliner build sheets; copy old US title; FIVA Identity Card (issued 2002); taxation report (dated 2000); Belgian registration papers; and invoices for parts and work carried out totalling an estimated 80,000-plus. Extensive works have been done by Historic Competition services in Antwerp, who have also been responsible for looking after & servicing the car in recent years. The car is thus in impeccable condition and very very rare with so few having been made.
