The Ferrari F355 Berlinetta was introduced at the 1994 Geneva Motor Show; the highly demanded successor to the now ageing 348. The 355 was not only a stark improvement stylistically on the 348, but it also saw a number of technical improvements, such as power steering and electronically controlled damping. The F355 name referred to the new 3.5-litre V8 engine with 5 valves per cylinder; a unit capable of propelling the beautiful Pininfarina-styled body to 60mph in under 5 seconds and top speed in excess of 180 mph. Further, the motor is responsible for what remains today one of the finest engine notes ever to come from Maranello. In 1995, Ferrari revealed a race-spec F355 Challenge model to be used specifically in the Ferrari Challenge race series. This involved a $30,000 factory-to-dealer upgrade kit. This upgrade package encompassed a large number of modifications to the standard F355 Berlinetta including a roll-cage, bucket seats, competition steering wheel, lightweight exhaust, rear wing, competition clutch, competition springs, and a lightened front bumper. The F355 Challenge was also given new 18' Speedline magnesium wheels that were wrapped in Pirelli racing slicks, whilst upgraded Brembo brakes, carried over directly from the F40 helped improve the car's stopping power. Just 108 original F355 Challenge cars were produced in total, all fitted with the iconic 6-speed gated manual transmission. The car we are delighted to offer is an EU supplied example that raced within the Ferrari Challenge series for Team Ferrari Eberlein with the Gentleman driver Dieter Weigl. The car benefitted from a full engine out service at an official Ferrari Dealer in Austria with invoice in October 2015. The car is also fully street legal, making it a great opportunity to obtain a highly collectable Ferrari that can be enjoyed thoroughly on both the road and track!

This particular 1971 280 SE 3.5 Cabriolet enjoyed long-term enthusiast ownership for the last 30 years. It was owned by an East Coast collector for the past two decades, and before that, it was located on the West Coast with a collector for 10 years. This example is presented in wonderful condition after undergoing a no-expense-spared restoration to show quality by Road Scholars, of North Carolina. During the restoration, the engine was removed, the car was stripped to bare metal, and it received new paintwork, chrome, a new exhaust, and a new convertible top. The interior was completely reupholstered, and the car was fully detailed throughout, including the undercarriage and the engine bay. Finished in dark blue over a tobacco leather interior and currently showing 57,200 miles. The car retains a proper set of tools, a jack, and an owner's manual. When new, the 280 SE 3.5 Cabriolet was considered by many to be the finest automobile in the world. Today, that belief remains true for manyMercedes-Benz enthusiasts. Its design is truly timeless and exhibits class and character all its own. This example would be the perfect acquisition for the individual looking for a sophisticated automobile that will never go out of style.

1984 Ferrari 512 BBi Coupé Coachwork by Pininfarina Registration no. A65 WHK Chassis no. 51335 Vintage & Prestige Classic Cars are thrilled to offer for sale this iconic 'flat 12' Ferrari, delivered new to California and just one of 141 final-year models. Ferrari Classiche Certified. Having reasserted itself at the top of the supercar hierarchy with the first 'Boxer' - the 365 GTB/4 BB - Ferrari went one better with its successor, the 512 BB. For the new Boxer, Ferrari abandoned its long-standing practice of denoting a model by the capacity of an individual cylinder and adopted the Dino-type nomenclature where '512' indicates 5 litres/12 cylinders. The increase in engine size from the original Boxer's 4.4 litres was made not so much with increased power in mind but to enable the 512 BB to meet increasingly stringent emissions targets without loss of performance. Displacement was increased by enlarging both bore and stroke, while in addition the compression ratio was raised and dry-sump lubrication adopted. The result of all these changes was a useful increase in torque which, coupled with revised gear ratios, made the 512 more tractable. Changes to Pininfarina's inspired coachwork were, not surprisingly, few: an air-dam spoiler beneath the nose, brake-cooling NACA ducts ahead of the rear wheel arches, four rear lights instead of six and revised air intake boxes, while slightly fatter rear tyres meant that the width of the 512's rear grew by just over 25mm. The running gear likewise came in for only minor revision, gaining stiffer springs/anti-roll bars and altered damping rates, while the already excellent all-round ventilated disc brakes remained unchanged. Inside, the 512 remained virtually the same as before but for the welcome adoption of multi-way adjustable seats in place of the fixed originals. Road & Track magazine had achieved a speed of 175mph (280km/h) in the preceding 365GT/4 BB, and although lack of road space prevented the discovery of their test 512's capability, Ferrari's claimed maximum of 188mph was felt entirely realistic. The fact that this was down 4mph on the Lamborghini Countach's 'fastest ever' maximum was considered unimportant. 'That's because, taken on balance, the Ferrari 512 Boxer wins a more important award, as the best all-round sports and GT car we've tested,' enthused the highly respected American motoring magazine. 'If we had to pin the reasons down to one it would have to be that the Ferrari doesn't forget the driver. The Boxer has it all, the speed, the handling, the lovely shape, the well done cockpit and, most important of all, a reputation for reliability.' In 1981 the model was updated with Bosch fuel injection, becoming the 512 BBi. Once again, maximum power remained unchanged but there was more available at lower revs and torque increased still further. Possessing an engine directly related to Ferrari's contemporary Formula 1 unit, as well as being both lighter and faster than the legendary Daytona, the 512 BBi was one of the most capable and exciting supercars of its era and is still capable of providing all the thrills that an enthusiastic owner-driver could wish for. Despite the fuel injection, the 512 BBi was never approved for sale in the USA, though American customers were given assistance by Ferrari to import them privately and carry out the necessary 'federalisation'. This left-hand drive example is one of only 1,007 512 BBi models produced by Ferrari and was delivered new in 1984 to California, USA. Numbered '51335', it is a very late production car. Sold at a US auction in August 2013, at which time it was stated that it had benefited from a recent engine-out service replaced the vital timing chain tensioner, as well as the exhaust. At the same time, the air conditioning system was refurbished with all-new belts, hoses, seals, and gaskets. Unlike the average 512 BBi, which typically sees only infrequent use, this one has been driven and enjoyed. The original Rosso Corsa paintwork has been well looked after, while the complementary Rosso/Nero interior shows very little wear, together creating the impression that this car is younger than its 30-plus years. Original books and tools are present. Imported into the UK after the auction sale. The previous vendor purchased the Ferrari several years ago and its been well stored since. With the value of V12 Ferraris from the 1960s and 1970s having increased dramatically, users and investors alike have recognised the potential of the Berlinetta Boxer series, and particularly that of the more practical fuel-injected models. Vintage and Prestige are proud to offer this 1930 Lincoln Model L Type 176b Dual Cowl Sports Phaeton For Sale. Registration: BF8882 Chassis no: 94222 Mileage shown: 62876 The Lincoln Motor Company had been founded in 1917 by the great engineer Henry M. Leland and his son Wilfred. After the Great War, Leland's first Lincoln was superbly engineered and built. Introduced in 1921, it was powered by a 358ci (6,306cc) L-head, 60°, V-8 engine. Unlike more conventional V-engines which offset the cylinder banks slightly to make room for adjacent connecting rod bearings on the crank journals, Leland's Model L used expensive, precision-made fork-and-blade connecting rods and disposed the cylinders directly opposite each other. Unusually for the period, Leland's V-8 had full pressure lubrication. However, Leland had an engineer's vision and the bodies which completed his automobiles left something to be desired in the design department. Lincoln tried a quick redesign with a set of twelve body designs by Hermann A. Brunn, but it was too late as dismal sales, the post-WWI recession and an erroneous 4.5 million-dollar tax bill spelled the end of Lincoln. It was bought out of receivership in 1922 by none other than Henry Ford to balance the success of the bare bones Model T with the best-engineered and best-built luxury automobile in America. Ford put his son Edsel, who had an innate sense of style, grace, balance and proportion, in charge of Lincoln and the automobiles soon began to reflect Edsel's vision. Initial production after the takeover consisted of the Model L, where the "L" indicated that it had been designed by Henry and Wilfred Leland. This would remain the catalogue designation until the model was superseded in 1931, a measure of Edsel Ford's respect for Leland, who was called the "Master of Precision". This matching numbers 1930 Model L truly is American engineering at its finest, the quiet, smooth and powerful engine pulls you along the road with ease, the drive becomes better mile by mile. The gear change is light and the brakes have more than enough stopping power. Useful modifications including an uprated dual venturi downdraft carburettor and an electric fuel pump have been added to aid on long journeys, and all original components come with the car. This powerful V8 is certainly set up and ready for touring, the downdraft carburettor providing comparable performance to the 120hp V-8 engined successor Model K introduced in 1931. This car has two desirable Lincoln upgrades - a vacuum brake servo, introduced in the Model K in 1931 and offered as a retrofit to Model L customers, and the desirable Model K Gemmer steering. The Lincoln Type 176b Dual Cowl coachwork is beautifully designed, you really can appreciate the aesthetics of the shape and body lines from every angle. The high quality paint work is finished in a two-tone brown, this is complimented by the light yellow coachline and yellow painted wire wheels. There are, of course white wall tyres fitted and high quality chrome fixtures all around. The interior is completed in tan leather to a high standard, with four individual seats, there are lockable door pockets and also lockable solid wood compartments to the rear. The exterior has fender mounted dual spare wheels. The roof is in good condition throughout, comes with its roof top boot, and there are also detachable side screens, making this Model L fully weather proof. In our showroom and ready for viewing.
