Twin side mount spare wheels are fitted to the front or both running boards making for an imposing frontal appearance. Under the bonnet the Rolls Royce Phantom I Sedanca by Hooper is unchanged retaining the original under trays as fitted to the Rolls Royce Phantom I Sedanca by Hooper when new. The only deviation from the standard specification is the fitment of a modern full flow oil filter. A large nickel klaxon horn is bolted to the bulkhead. To the rear is a compact motoring trunk. You really have to drive this Rolls Royce Phantom I Sedanca by Hooper to appreciate how well it drives. Indeed, it gives one a feel as to how these Rolls Royce cars were when new. Vintage and Prestige are proud to offer this 1952 Bentley R-Type DHC by Graber for sale. This unique Bentley was first bought by Professor Rudolf Geigy, biologist, zoologist, geneticist amnd CEO of the Swiss Pharmaceutical company, CIBA-GEIGY. He ordered an R-Type chassis from Rolls-Royce and Bentley at Derby, and had it delivered to Swiss coachbuilders Graber in Wichtracg, where he asked Hermann Graber to design and build a drophead coupé for himself as a 50thbirthday present. Graber founded in the 1920s, had a fine reputation of building bodies for British cars, including Alvis, Lagonda, Aston Martin, Rolls-Royce and Rover, and was famed for its beautiful, perfectly balanced and rather restrained lines. On chassis B89RS Hermann Graber styled a typically graceful and individual car, with a straight-through wing line, rear quarter lights, and the large soft-top very well harmonised with the boot lines. Underneath, the Bentley R Type chassis and drivetrain was very like that of the Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn: power came from the well proven straight-six with inlet-over-exhaust valves, but with twin SU carburettors rather than the single one fitted to the Silver Dawn, it produced and estimated 130bhp, enough for lively performance up to around 100mph. The front suspension was independent with wishbones and coil springs, and there was a live axle with leaf springs at the rear. The drum brakes were servo-assisted. The main difference with the preceding model was the longer chassis which allowed more luggage space and gave scope for come beautiful bodywork to be added. Standard steel factory bodies were available, but many chassis were sent to coachbuilders. Professor Geigy kept the car for a decade before it went to an owner in Germany, and it later travelled to Hong Kong. In recent years the car was sent back to Austria, to Zweimüller near Linz, for a complete, nut and bolt restoration, and since then the car has only sparingly been used on dry days. Today the car is in absolute concours condition, which was proven by its recent entry into the 2018 Concours of Elegance 2018 at Hampton court Palace. 1968 Aston Martin DB6; 1968 Aston Martin DB6 finished in Dubonnet Rosso with beautiful cream hide interior with best quality beige Wilton carpet edged in cream leather. This fabulous example has been in the same ownership since 1979 and has been kept in a heated garage for the past 40 years. Unlike most Astons of this era, this car has never needed a complete nut and bolt restoration but maintenance throughout this period has been undertaken without regard to cost. In 1985, the car was the subject of a back to metal repaint with photographic evidence and at this point it was also completely re-trimmed and both bodywork and interior remain in superb condition to this day. The most recent cosmetic improvement is a completely refurbished steering wheel giving a lovely feel to the power assisted steering when driving this motor car. In 2008, an unleaded conversion was carried out by R.S.Williams with further works by HWM Aston Martin totalling over 12,000. Additional recent works have included a brakeoverhaul in 2012, a new stainless steel exhaust in 2014 and a full carburettor rebuild in 2016, as well as regular annual servicing all recorded in the car's detailed history file. Also forming part of the file is a factory build sheet with 28 MOT certificates showing the progression of mileage from 43,101 in April 1986 through to 55,278 miles in March 2018; the current speedometer reading being 55,762, hence in the past 34 years the car has covered a mere 12,681 miles. To say that this car has been well maintained is something of an understatement and the quality of maintenance is immediately apparent when driving this car. We are privileged to be offering a DB6 in such beautiful condition at what we consider to be a very realistic price

The 365 GTC/4 shares the chassis, wheelbase, suspension and engine with the 365 Daytona, however in a Pininfarina designed 2+2 body. To accommodate the more practical nature of the car, the 4.4 L V12 engine was slightly detuned from the Daytona to 340bhp, there was a slightly softer suspension set-up and an inclusion of power-steering. These changes made the 365 GTC/4 a more comfortable grand tourer than its two-seat sibling. Just 505 365 GTC/4s were produced between 1971 and 1972. The car we're offering was supplied by Modern Classic Motors in Reno, Nevada and was specified from new with air conditioning, power windows, and a speedometer in mph. The car was imported to the UK in 2014 by Joe Macari who then carried out a full nut and bolt restoration on the car and exhibited it at the 2016 London Classic Car show. Shortly after the show, the car was purchased by Jamiroquai frontman and avid car collector, Jay Kay, where it became a part of his amazing private collection. During its restoration, thecar was refinished in a rich Dark Metallic Grey over a luscious blue leather interior. The car maintains a photo album that fully documents its restoration process and also has been awarded red book Classiche Certification from the Ferrari Factory, confirming its matching numbers engine. For many the GTC/4 is a much nicer car to own and drive than the more famous Daytona; and when this is combined by the limited production run and figures, they certainly present a fantastic argument as being the finest 70s Ferrari to own and also invest.

1930 Bugatti Type 46 Napoleon Coupé Chassis number: 46065 Registration number: DC110-PX Engine No. 47 (From Chassis 46166) Re-Constructed in the late 1970's & Early 1980's from the remains of a type 46 Chassis found near Toulouse & an original type 46 engine from a car destroyed during the war in the Voseges region. The car was a labor of love for the builder taking 10 years & over 4000 man hours to complete along with various specialists being enlisted to help. The Body, a .87 scale of the Coupe Napoleon Royale was made by Fred Pippiat & UK based Stephen Langton. Templates were taken from the original Royale & scaled down to fit the shorted wheelbase of the type 46. Numerous parts were sand cast from scratch as exact copies of the originals. The radiator carries at its base the name of the craftsman who made it "Lebret bodybuilder from Forges-les-Eaux" in France as an exact copy fabriacted from original drawings. The famous Bugatti light alloy wheels were moulded in Suresnes from an existing set in Grenoble that served as a model, to a diameter of 0.845m, including tyres. The Smith-Barriquand carburetor heater ball, a very delicate piece, was missing & had to be specially moulded and machined from scratch. The exhaust pipes were fabricated coated, inside, with heat resistant material and enamelled in an oven, in the Lyons region. The blue and black bodywork is entirely aluminum on wood frame. The passenger compartment features a faithful copy of the cabinetry of the Royale coupe with clock and speedometer in a fruit wood dash board. The front seats and panels are black leather with blue velvet to the rear quarters. Paintwork was applied in two tone with no less then 12 coats to achieve the deep lustre the car exhibits. This beautiful Type 46 reconstrauction made its first runs at the end of 1986 before being exhibited at the "Auto Festival" the same year. The "Auto Retro" magazine of October 1987 highlights the car in a 6-page article. The English magazine "The Automobile" used the car for its front cover and two long articles reported by the journalist Toby Ross in December 1987 and January 1988. Available now, the car is in perfect running condition & indeed was driven to & won its class at the 2019 Schloss Schwetzingen Concours D'Elegance in Germany. 1933 Talbot 105 3 litre Brooklands special. Chassis number: DRF170048 Registration number: VSU 650 Mille Miglia Eligible. A beautifully crafted Talbot 105 Brooklands replica. This car boasts the largest 3 litre iteration of Talbots Pre war efforts. In 1931 four 105s were tuned to provide a reported 119 bhp, at 4,800 rpm. In "Brooklands trim" further tuning and an increased compression ratio of 10:1 gave rise to a claimed 125 bhp. This is thus a fast open tourer well suited to rallying. The car is finished in fresh black paint to the exterior & sports the racing number 3 to the sides. It is a confortable 4 seater when requred making it very versatile. The seats are finished in biscuit coloured leather to the front & rear with matching brown carpets. The dash is of walnut with a full quotient of period instrumentation to the centre. Given the lightness of the coachwork this is a fast car well able to run in modern traffic. The car is fitted with a Wilson pre select gear box well suited to competition work allowing one to select the required gear for an upcoming corner well in advance of actually arriving at said corner. The car comes with a tonneu cover for the rear seats which may also be used as a luggage area. Twin aero screens are fitted to the scuttle & a spare wheel to the drivers side. The front wings turn in unision with the front wheels. The car is in fine order & is supplied freshly serviced & ready for immediate use. Talbot's reputation for producing highly effective competition cars owed a lot to the efforts of the Tolworth-based motor dealership and racing preparation specialist, Fox & Nicholl who had looked after the works team since 1930. In that year the Talbot 90s dominated the 3-Litre class in prestigious international events such as the Le Mans 24-Hour race, despite displacing only 2.3 litres. This run of success continued when the full 3-litre Talbot 105 became available. Famously registered 'GO 51' to 'GO 54' consecutively, the first four Fox & Nicholl Talbot 105s enjoyed an outstanding run of successes during the 1931 season, highlights of which included 1st, 2nd and 3rd in class at the Brooklands 'Double Twelve' and 3rd overall at Le Mans (1st un-supercharged car). The successes continued in 1932 with 1st, 2nd and 3rd in class at the Brooklands 1000 mile race, 3rd overall again at LeMans and 1st and 2nd overall in the Brooklands 500. In addition a solo attempt at the Mille Miglia was one of the great "might have beens" with GO53 finishing 25th after crashing at 900 miles when lying 4th overall. Englishman Brian Lewis was able to finish the race in 25th driving a Talbot 105 even after driving miles off course when he took a wrong turn. Later the Englishman was able to relate a fantastic story on his Italian adventure. It seems that with one headlight out of action he was unable to see, in time a sharp curve in the road while traveling in access of 90 mph. The car became airborne and landed in a ditch. Miraculously the crew and car survived with a broken water pump and a minor hole to their fuel tank that was patched with some chewing gum. The loud crash got the attention of the local populace who assumed the grim task of retrieving the bodies only to be cajoled by the lucky crew to grab a rope and haul the car back on the road. Amidst shouts of English mixed in with Italian they were able to accomplish this feat and the car was soon to rejoin the race to the cheers of the crowd! The models eligible to take part in the 1000 Miglia are those of which at least one specimen took part or completed the registration formalities in one edition of the historic 1000 Miglia that was held from 1927 to 1957. The coefficients are allocated after careful consideration of the year of design and the technical, sporting and historical features of each individual model. The total coefficient of each model is calculated using the mathematical formula below, adding up the partial coefficients related to period, class and category: A gallery of large high-resolution pictures may be viewed on our website.
