We are delighted to offer this show standard Triumph TR3A onto the market. We have known this car for one year having first seen the car at Malton Show in 2017 where it won 'Best in Show' The car had been subject of a sixteen year rebuild completed in 2016 and since then the TR3A has covered just 800 miles. A wonderful level of detail has gone into the restoration resulting in a first class car. The car has been completed with no expense spared and has been finished to a level that is difficult to achieve. Hours upon hours have been spent in the garage detailing and finishing the car ensuring its totally first class throughout. This Triumph TR3A is a matching numbers car, confirmed from its Heritage certificate. The car has also been painted in its original colour of Sebring White and is completely correct as it left the factory with Red leather trim. The car spent its first forty years in California, supplied new by California Sales Inc, San Francisco and its last owner in the US owned the car fortwenty years in San Jose. The TR arrived in the UK requiring full restoration and photos in the history file show the condition. The car was then fully stripped and treated to a top class nut and bolt restoration. Two years and 350 miles after the restoration the car is quite simply outstanding. The bodywork is exceptional, the paint finish first class, the chrome work perfect and the interior has been beautifully re-trimmed. Full weather equipment is with the car and the boot has been superbly trimmed and the engine bay is show standard. The underside of the car is as impressive with a lovely painted finish. Having been completely rebuilt mechanically, we can confirm the TR3A is top class to drive with excellent steering, handling, braking and the engine and gearbox are both superb contributing to a truly superb driving experience. Mechanical work included stripping and rebuilding the engine and upgrading it with oversized liners as per the TR3B and TR4 engine with a cc of 2138. SU specialistsrebuilt the carburettors, the gearbox was fully overhauled, electronic ignition and a stainless steel exhaust system fitted. The TR was further upgraded with rack and pinion steering and all the brakes and suspension were completely rebuild with all components replaced or re-conditioned. There is no doubt this car has had an unbelievable level of care put into the restoration and finding an example that has clearly been so passionately worked on will be very difficult to find. Finishing touches such as a fully complete correct and original tool roll are also present. Price: 54,995

We are delighted to offer this Home Market RHD Triumph TR5 PI onto the market. XLM 565G left the factory finished in Valencia Blue with Tan trim and Black hood, built on the 14th August 1968 and despatched on the 29th of the same month. The TR5 was supplied new with heater and overdrive, and was issued with the Greater London registration mark XLM 565G. Wimbledon based dealer L.F Dove Limited sold the car new on the 4th September 1968 to a Mr G Gurney of Surrey and we have the original service book containing the cars first two services, both by the supplying dealer at 1102 and 12421 miles. XLM 565G also still retains its original 'buff' logbook confirming the car spent three years with its first owner in Surrey. It would seem plausible the TR5 was taken back into stock by the supplying dealer as the second owner was local to L.F Dove Ltd on West Side Common in Wimbledon. In late 1972 its Wimbledon based owner moved to Newcastle Upon Tyne, taking the TR5 up to the North East where it has spent mostof its life. Throughout the 1970's, large Scotland and North East dealership Rossleigh maintained the TR5 and a comprehensive file of receipts and invoices are still with the car. In 2003 the TR5 PI was sold in need of major restoration having being off the road for many years. From 2003 to 2011, XLM 565G was completely rebuilt from the ground up to a truly exceptional standard. A photographic record confirms the TR5 was subject of a bare chassis rebuild and with the assistance of highly regarded specialists, the car was taken to show standard condition. The chassis was blasted and completely rebuilt, the bodyshell fully restored and the bare shell painted inside, outside and underneath, and the car then built up with perfect panel gaps. The TR was re-trimmed to a very high standard, all brightwork replaced or re-chromed, the boot area completed to show condition and the dashboard and dials completely re-furbished. The Triumph was fully rebuilt mechanically with no expense spared. The engine was ina very poor state and was deemed unrepairable. A replacement 2.5 PI engine was sourced and fully rebuilt with new pistons, oil pump, timing chain, tensioner chain, new rocker shaft, oil seals, new valves etc all supplied by TR Shop London. The block was re-bored, the crankshaft polished and on build up new manifolds, injectors and Bosch fuel pump fitted to the car. Steering, brakes and suspension were rebuilt, gearbox and rear axle overhauled, coolant system renewed and all electrics replaced and renewed. Like the rest of the car, the engine bay was taken to show condition and since completion in 2011 the TR5 has covered 3000 faultless miles. Eight years on since restoration, the TR5 still presents like a recently completed rebuild. There is no doubt this TR5 is in show condition, paintwork and bodywork are completely first class, panels are perfectly straight with excellent gaps and the underside is equally as impressive. The level of detail is superb with a beautiful engine bay, perfect sparewheel well and the interior has been trimmed to a superb high standard. The hood and cover are perfect, the correct style wheels are excellent and the car requires no cosmetic attention. On the road XLM 565G offers a brilliant driving experience. Its tight, holds the road perfectly and the engine is super fit holding excellent oil pressure and delivering impressive performance. The gearbox is super slick with perfect smooth changes, the overdrive comes in smoothly, the rear axle is lovely and quiet and the car feels absolutely right. This is a car with superb history dating back to new, has been kept as original and correct as possible, has been rebuilt to a first class standard and maintained and superbly kept since. With only 3000 miles since completion, this is effectively a fresh rebuild that has been nicely run in since and has to be one of the finest available in terms of condition and provenance. Ending a terrific line of models the TR6 finished production in 1976 and all subsequent models like the TR7 had unfortunately lost the Sixties feel and looks of the original TR range. So the TR6 was the end of an era of iconic cars. This example was produced in 1971 and is the revered 150bhp version with the Heritage certificate confirming it is an original Uk supplied rhd ,Signal red with overdrive car. Restored several years ago by a perfectionist she is the most perfect TR6 I have ever seen and likely never to be repeated. She was found abandoned in a London street complete with a tramp living in her! Once stripped down it was decided to embark on a project to restore to a stunning concours standard with no expense or detail spared. The panel fit ,detailing is outstanding and she has won many concours events over the past 6 years. This is a mighty performer with the slick overdrive gearbox meaning you can cruise at high speeds without stress. There is a history file accompanying the car including a full photographic record of the restoration, concours certificates, magazine articles, mots and invoices. To replicate this standard would cost over £60000 today plus a project car and I doubt if it could be as well executed as this one!
