The FJ Cruiser concept debuted at the 2003 Detroit Auto Show in Voodoo Blue, which would become the signature colour for the production FJ Cruiser. The bold styling was an immediate hit with the automotive press and general public despite competing with more exotic concepts like the Cadillac Sixteen and Dodge Tomahawk. By resurrecting retro design traits from the iconic FJ40, the FJ Cruiser was viewed as a new halo car for Toyota, much like the similarly retro-styled 2005 Mustang had been for Ford. In the summer of 2004, Toyota began extensive off-road evaluations of the FJ platform by driving development mules on many of the most difficult trails in North America, including Moab Utah, the Angeles National Forest, the Mojave Desert, and the Rubicon Trail. Despite each one-off mule costing hundreds of thousands of dollars, the development team was determined to push the capabilities of the prototypes in order to deliver reliable off-road performance in the production model. Changes to the A-TRAC traction control system and suspension tuning came as a direct result of the prototype testing. The FJ Cruiser was built by Toyota subsidiary Hino Motors in Hamura, Japan from 2006 and shares many structural underpinnings with the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado. The FJ Cruiser entered the Japanese market in 2010. The Toyota FJ Cruiser offered here at Autostorico comes in classic Voodoo Blue with Black interior with just 29,806 miles. Manufactured in 2014 this stunning 4WD example uses the 4.0-litre 1GR-FE DOHC V6. It features Dual VVT-i technology which adjusts timing on both intake and exhaust camshafts resulting in 260 hp at 5600 rpm. The FJ Cruiser featured here has a short wheelbase, stocky frame, and grille-headlight arrangement much like the original FJ40. Other throwback design cues include a nearly vertical windshield with three windshield wipers for maximum surface area coverage. The FJ Cruiser also boasted the name "Toyota" spelled out across the grille instead of the corporate emblem which has been in use since 1990, another reference to the FJ40 and other older Toyota trucks. The FJ's body incorporates rear opening access doors that give a unique look to the SUV. Special high-strength steel was used to give the vehicle side impact protection without the need for a door pillar. (An additional setof four winter wheels are included). A genuine opportunity to own a mid size SUV, retro modern classic. Viewing strictly by appointment only.

The third generation Toyota Celica A60 was introduced in August 1981 and underwent a facelift in August 1983. According to "How Many Left" there are only 9 cars from this period licensed for the road and a further 82 off road. This number will include Liftbacks and some post facelift models registered late 1983. As such, this example will most likely be the best surviving pre-facelift Coupe in the UK and one of the best worldwide. It is original, unrestored and of true collector quality. It was registered new in May 1983 by Central Motors Ltd, the Toyota Dealer in Chadderton, and before use they subjected the car to a Bygging Rustproofing treatment and this has helped to keep it in the superb condition we see today. It was owned by them for 10 months before being sold to a local gentleman in Littleborough. This private owner used the car sparingly until 1996 at which point it had only covered 20527. He then placed it into dry storage where it remained until July 2008 when it was driven on a six mile round trip to the local MOT testing station where it passed an MOT inspection without problem. The car was then placed back into storage until July 2017 from where it was collected by transporter from the now elderly gentleman. It was then fitted with a new battery and had the old fuel drained and replaced with fresh petrol. It then passed an MOT without problem. The history file contains the V5, the last MOT, the 2008 MOT certificate, the last Road Tax Disc from 1996, the original Hand Book and Toyota Dealer list. The current genuine recorded mileage is 20537 miles. Prospective buyers are welcome to come and view the car in our Leeds showroom. Please ring to make an appointment to view. UK wide professional delivery is available. Please ring for a quote. We are also happy to deliver to any mainland port for export. The Toyota Corona was manufactured between 1957 and 2002. A competitor to Nissan's Bluebird the word 'corona' is Latin for 'crown', a reference to an earlier vehicle Toyota offered called the Toyota Crown. It was exclusive to Toyopet Store dealership channels in Japan, while the larger Crown was available only at Toyota Store locations. In many countries, the Corona was one of Toyota's first international exports, and was shortly joined by the smaller Toyota Corolla, providing buyers with a choice of a larger car, with similar operating expenses to the smaller Corolla. The Corona was Toyota's second sedan in their hierarchy of products, just below the Crown, until 1968 when the Corona name was used on a larger, all new platform called the Toyota Corona Mk. II. This gave buyers more interior space while still offering dependable and affordable performance. This 1.9 litre coupé variant badged as the Mk. II GL is rarely seen on these shores having been imported from South Africa by our enthusiasticowner. Standing proud in metallic blue with black velour trim, this example has been recently fully recommissioned and as such the engine runs incredibly smoothly and is surprisingly quiet. Japanese workmanship was a byword for quality in the 70's, much to the frustration of the USA and it certainly shows upon firing up this Corona. Having spent most of its life in dry and warmer climates it is understandably a very solid car and, apart from a few imperfections, is a very smartly presented example. A rare and interesting car that is sure to attract attention from Japanese car collectors and enthusiasts, this is a very interesting proposition and offered without reserve.Guide Price £6,000 - £8,000
