Chassis number: 28UF Registration number: YW4038 A magnificent low mileage car having covered a scant 48,000 miles since new. Ordered by one Stewart Kilpatrick of Thames Ditton, he did not relinquish ownership until 1961. During the war years was put up on blocks & not used again until being recommissioned after his death & sparingly used by members of his surviving family. The car drives beautifully with a tight taut feel to it & a strong silent powerful engine. Rolls-Royce issued their guarantee for the car on 1st June 1928. Coachwork is by the King of Coachbuilders, Hooper & Co taking the form of a versatile Sedanca Deville. It carries echoes from the carriage building days with delightful carriage style moulding carrying forwards from the front doors. It is finished in cream over black with a fabric roof covering. To the interior is black leather to the front & beautiful new red leather to the rear making the cabin a sumptuous place to recline. Twin occasional seats are fitted to the rear making for seating for 7 people. Pleasingly the interior retains all its original Hooper accoutrements. The woodwork is book matched Macassar Ebony of the highest quality. The original Dictaphone intercom is in its place & has been refurbished to full working order allowing those in the rear to give direction to the driver up front. Twin side mount spare wheels are fitted to the front or both running boards making for an imposing frontal appearance. Under the bonnet the car is very original retaining the original under trays as fitted to the car when new; the only deviation from standard being the fitment of a modern full flow oil filter. A large nickel klaxon horn is bolted to the bulkhead. To the rear is a compact motoring trunk. You really have to drive this car to appreciate for well it goes. Indeed it gives one a feel as to how these cars were when new. The history of the car is comprehensive listing numerous owners & their addresses up to the present day.

Peter Vardy Heritage is delighted to offer this outstanding Rolls Royce Corniche Convertible finished in stunning Nugget Gold with Black vinyl hood and contrasting Black Anela Leather. Rarely do we offer a motor car that has such a comprehensive history file. Every detail of this car's life appears to be in there including the Confirmation of Order letter dated 4th November 1971 from official Rolls-Royce dealer J.D Barclay in Banbury to the first owner Mr. Sylvester, a gentleman farmer from Hampshire. Mr. Sylvester kept meticulous records and they include the original purchase receipt for the car dated 19th December 1972 for the sum of 14,541.85, which at the time was not insignificant bearing in mind a brand new E-Type Jaguar was around 3,000. In addition to confirming the car's original order specification, leather', the receipt also details a full tank of petrol (100 litres) for the grand total of 8.50! The history file also includes two unused inchMotor Fuel ration booksinch for use during the1973 Oil crisis. First registered on the 1st January 1973, Mr. Sylvester had the car regularly serviced regardless of his low usage and fastidiously kept every service receipt and invoice. The history file reads like a Who's Who of Rolls-Royce main dealers including J.D. Barclay, Rolls-Royce at Crewe, Phantom Motor Cars, Frank Dale & Sons, and Hanwells of London. Registration Number: EXC200 Chassis Number: 3CM119 Under the current ownership for over 20 years; During this time, the car has had an engine rebuild with 12 new pistons, new liners, new cam shaft etc & also a new Carburetor. The tappets are hydraulic units as fitted when new. As a result, the engine runs in uncanny silence as only a V12 can do. All the major work has been done making this a mechanically reliable car with none of the worries associated with engines that have not undergone refurbishment. A rear exhaust box complete with insulation and heat shield has just been fitted. The engine runs cool at 70 to 80 degrees. Oil pressure is 25PSI under load & 15 at idle. The drivers leather seats were re-upholstered by Gary Wright of Milton Keynes some years ago including the carpets & door cards. The rear compartment is still original in cloth with a few imperfections though a new carpet was also fitted when the new front carpet was fitted. Twin foot rests fold out of the bulkhead as do a pair of occasional seats allowing for 7 to travel in comfort. All doors close with a confident clunk and all windows also operate correctly. All instruments and lights in the dashboard work where interestingly there is an original internal windscreen wiper fitted into the dashboard which has been disconnected. The Sedanca opening operates well and when driving with it open gives the impression of driving a large sports car. The metal roof centre slides backwards followed by the two sedanca arms that then stow behind a vanity panel. Easily opened & closed, sturdy latches secure it when closed. Paintwork is gold over black & in good presentable patinated order. This Rolls Royce Phantom 3 won the Touring Class for P III at the annual RREC ralley in 2004. It has taken part in The New Years Parade through London many times from Parliament Square to The Ritz and on one occasion led the parade directly behind the Lord Mayor. There is a full kit of original tools in the tool tray within the boot lid and with larger tools under the front seats. In 2008 Aston Martin transported it to the Furka Pass in Switzerland to recreate the Goldfinger scenes for 5 days, It isn't the Goldfinger car but has a passing resemblance. It appeared in a tv programme called Classic Gear which charted the events on the Furka Pass plus write ups in Octane magazine and The Telegraph Motoring section. Fastidiously maintained by the last owner, the engine oil and filter have been changed regularly every 6 months with sump and tappet filters being cleaned The tyres are not very old and the spare brand new. The car is in very fine order & has a go anywhere feel to it. It runs easily in modern traffic at 60MPH in unruffled silence.

1924 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost Arthur Mulliner enclosed drive limousine. Originally registered to one F. J. Ward. a rubber magnate living at "Wansfell" in Theydon Bois. Long Chassis number AU21 Registration Number PU5650 Engine Number U17 A spectacular car that has in the last few years been restored to an incredibly high standard. The coachwork is by Arthur Mulliner of Northampton & is in the form of an enclosed drive limousine; well proportioned & with pleasing lines. The bills that come with the car are eye-watering. £64,000 on the engine alone for example. The engine was completely disassembled by Marque specialists Ristes of Nottingham & then rebuilt to an as-new standard. Everything that could be done was done. without regard being given to cost. Since then the engine has run just 2000 miles & is just run in. I took this car to france on an extended jaunt through Normandy "en Famille" & can attest ot how well it runs devouring big mileage days with aplomb. Similar attention to detail was given to the chassis. braking system & every mechanical part on the car. Thus the car is in impeccable order & ready for the next few hundred thousand miles of its life. It is fitted with new brake shoes to the 4 wheel brakes & also new tyres. Correct leather gaiters cover the springs fore & aft. The exterior is black over a vivid blue & is in fine condition. Twin side mounts are fitted to the running boards & a commodious Brexton trunk re-manufactured to new standard adorns the rear. The front screen is in a vee configuration comprising 4 panels two of which hinge open for summer motoring. The interior is where the car becomes really special; the front is black leather. with black leather insets. embossed with a leaf motif. To the rear is Bedford cord with the leaf motif being carried on, embroidered in gold thread, to the doors & also roof lining. An oval theme also is found throughout the car with ovals to the door inserts. an oval rear window & a beautifully curved division in the form of two sliding curved glass panels. The graceful curve of the dash provides the concave answer to that of the convex division. effectivly making the drivers compartment also oval in plan. Most spectacular of all is the woodwork which is of a quality of its own. Both fiddleback mahogany & burr walnut are used in a copious manner adorning all surfaces including a complete edge ceiling cornice. Satinwood marquetry banding is let into the main wood areas by way of an accent. The roof woodwork has alcoves let into it containing lights that throw a soft glow across the ceiling for nocturnal use. Additionally the ceiling has a centre mounted opening skylight or "smokers hatch" as it was known in those days. The front doors unusually are hinged from the A posts. Other attractive features include the three scuttle mounted air vents. The Lucas light fixtures are all silver plated. The door handles are of superb quality. embossed as they are with acanthus leaf motifs in raised relief. A stunning collectors grade car with everything that can be done. already done. making for an expense & trouble free ownership experience for the next fortunate keeper. Cars of this quality rarely come along!!! The car is due with us just after April 22nd when it has a wedding to atttend bearing the fortunate bride. ..
