1939 Packard Super Eight Touring Sedan Chassis number: 1 272-2339 Registration number: 125XUP A concours example with over 200k spent on its restoration. You have to see this car to appreciate how good it is. The car needless to say, is in nut & bolt brand new condition. This Packard has covered less then 1000 miles since restoration & really ought to be run in gently over the next 500 miles. The car was restored by Marque specialists AL Pruett & sons of Glen Rock, PA. This Packard Super Eight is finished in unmarked Packard Blue with a Grey/Blue Broadcloth interior. Optional equipment when new included Overdrive, a Heater, Radio, Luggage Rack, Dual Side Mounts, Front Grille bars & additional lights. The engine bay is beautifully detailed & like new. The motor puts out some 130hp & 225 Lbs Ft of Torque. It is spacious powerful & advanced for the year with 4 wheel hydraulic brakes. Indeed it is amazing to step out a derby Bentley or Rolls & into this as it make one realise just how far ahead of the game Packard were at that time. This was the first year of production for the "Three on the tree" Column gear change. A detailed appraisal report is available with the car along with a replacement valuation cost of £150,000 and a copious history file. The car is spacious in the extreme, fast, comfortable & well able to run in modern traffic conditions. Indeed the last one of these we sold in similar condition was driven straight to Switzerland without missing a beat. 1952 Packard 200 Deluxe Touring Sedan. Gallant Green with grey upholstery. The 1951 Packard 200 and 250 were introduced as Packard's least expensive model range on August 24, 1950, taking the place of the low-line Packard Standard models which were eliminated for the 1951 model year. The 200 debuted as part of the fully redesigned Packard line, attributed to John Reinhart. Replacing the bulbous 1948-1950 Packards in the 22nd and 23rd Packard Series, Reinhart's "High Pockets" design was more formal than its predecessor, and would serve Packard until the end of the 1956 model year when true Packard production ceased. This 200 was fully restored before arriving in the U.K in 2016. The 4.7 V8 engine is super smooth and when ticking over is almost silent. The manual gearbox is also in great order selecting all gears with no issues. On test drive the car performed well with plenty of power, no diff or axle noises and quite content in modern traffic. The paintwork is very sharp and gives a beautiful sheenand all the brightwork sparkles showing no signs of degrading or pitting. The interior is fresh with no rips, tears or any sagging. The car starts on the button and is a real pleasure to drive and is just waiting to be enjoyed by its new owners. Now MOT and Tax exempt this must be the best value way to own a classic car. Absolutely any inspection is welcome. All major credit and debit cards accepted. Delivery and shipping can be arranged.

Vintage and Prestige are proud to offer this 1922 Packard "First Series" Single Six Tourer For Sale. The Packard is a 1922 "First Series" Single Six Tourer and an original RHD model, having been sold new to a large scale farmer in the Adelaide region of Australia. This farmer also held the contract to transport mail from Adelaide to Broken Hill and for a number of years he personally made that journey regularly in the Packard. Later in life, when the car was "retired", he refused to sell it and it remained in a barn until his death, after which his family finally sold the car. It was acquired by a vintage car enthusiast, who also owned a restoration shop in Australia and the Packard received a comprehensive "ground-up" restoration to a very high standard of finish to the body and re-upholstered interior. This second owner exhibited the car at local car shows for several years and subsequently sold the car by auction. The next owner was a Manchester-based lawyer, who collected exotic vintage cars. It remained in his collection for a short period until it had to be sold upon his divorce. The current owner purchased the Packard at this time. All was well for a while, until the car began to consume water and lose power. Investigation showed that the car had an apparently long term cracked block which was considered very difficult to repair and it was decided to source a suitable replacement block or engine. Two appropriate period Packard engines were found in storage in South Australia and were duly purchased and shipped back to England. At this time it was decided to commission a full professional reconditioning of one of these engines as a replacement for the original. This work was carried out by the well-known specialists Skyreholme Technologies. The engine was completely stripped and re-built to a high standard. Work included re-metalling of the 7 main and 6 rod bearings by specialists David White Power Factors of Ormskirk. The crankshaft was re-ground. New small-end bushes were fabricated and fitted with a set of 6 new pistons installed. Valve seats were re-cut and valves were lapped-in, camshaft and bearings were checked and found to be in excellent condition. the cylinders were re-bored. The block and cylinder head were surface-machined and crack-tested. The instruction to Skyreholme Technologies was to check and rectify any fault which could be found with the replacement engine and to re-build it to as near to new standard as could be achieved, before fitting it into the Packard. A new radiator core has been fitted and the original vacuum tank fuel system has been upgraded to an SU electric pump for uninterrupted hill-climbing performance. The result is a car which runs and performs as it should and it has now covered about 500 miles since the replacement engine was fitted, during which it has been a pleasure to drive. The Packard sits on the original Rudge-Whitworth "Buffalo" spoked wheels, shod with excellent tyres. The car presents very well and is a very smart, lightly-patinated restoration, which, in 2017, was judged second in class at the prestigious and extensive Newby Hall car show, by the Judge - the well-known vintage car expert Bernard Williamson. Included with the Packard are the original unrestored engine, parts of a further spare engine and the original Stewart vacuum fuel tank. A very rare Packard "shovel nose" produced for just two years. The powerful 5.2 litre straight eight is a paragon of smoothness & power. This car has had extensive works done to it starting with an engine rebuild & culminating in fresh paint in dark blue & black along with a retrim in pale blue leather. As a result the car is in superb order starting readily & showing a surprising turn of speed in modern traffic conditions. The coachwork is Packard's own 2 door coupé with a dickey seat fitted to the rear. About 500 examples are thought to have been produced. Long, low & rakish it typifies Americana of the period in the best Capone style. In addition to the fresh paint & interior, new tyres have also been fitted. The brakes have also had a thorough overhaul as has the fuel tank & assorted engine ancillaries. A new clutch was also fitted during the refurbishment process. The car is thus ready for extended touring & long distance use. Only when you drive one of these Packard's do you realise quite what superb cars they are.

Vintage and Prestige are proud to offer this 1916 Packard Twin Six Typhoon For Sale. This Series One Packard Twin Six was first owned by an Australian, and was originally fitted with a tourer body. Returning to England in the 80s and being laid up until purchased by the current owner in 2012. With the body being unusable he decide to set about recreating the Typhoon Body from original pictures, only making subtle changes to please the eye. The result is truly remarkable with a huge open wheeled racer that looks fit for Goliath. The overall condition is exceptional with not even a drip of oil on the 6950cc, 3 bore, 5 stroke engine. The engine is mounted to a 3-speed gearbox and an overdrive addition on 2nd and top gears allowing an increased top speed and taking the strain from the engine, the Typhoon really is a pleasure to drive on the road with a more than acceptable cruising speed as well. The dashboard is made from beautifully varnished wood adorned with period Jaeger instruments and three switches for fuel, ignition and overdrive. The front seats are finished in period styled button leather with the drives seat fitted to adjustable rails. Removing the rear compartment cover unveils a beautiful single rear seat, covered with the same button leather, there is also a selection of tools and a custom fitting cover.
