Here at Carn Bosavern Garage we specialse in the restoration of MGA-B's and Triumph TR2-4A's. This 1964 MGB Roadster is a sold project that is undergoing a full nut and bolt restoration. To view this car on our website, please follow this link: http://www.carnbosaverngarage.com/restoration-projects/1964-mgb-roadster/ This 1964 MGB Roadster pull handle model is undergoing a full nut-and-bolt restoration for a customer. The vehicle has been stripped to a shell, taken back to bare metal, primed and fully resprayed in British Racing Green. The engine has been fully rebuilt with new pistons, timing chain, unleaded head conversion etc. Various new chrome work and lights are fitted to the body, with the next stage detailing the engine bay. The customer has requested dark green wool carpets with complimenting tan leather seats. We currently have a selection of 5x MGB Roadsters for sale (1965-73), all of which are currently in the untouched, painted or primer stage, and can be restored to any specification you would like. - Each car will have a complete nut and bolt restoration carried out. The vehicles will be stripped down to a bare shell, taken back to bare metal, primed and then fully resprayed to an excellent standard (including underneath and in the arches) to the colour of your choice. - The subframe's will be stripped down and then painted in gloss black. The suspension will have a complete overhaul with all new polybushes, all braking components, steering rack etc. - The engine will have a complete rebuild including new pistons, camshaft, oil pump, unleaded head conversion etc. - All interior, weather gear and chrome, as well as various other parts (fuel and water systems, ignition system etc) will all also be new. - The cars will be fitted with new splined hubs and spoke wire wheels. The cars that are currently LHD will be converted to RHD (unless otherwise stated). All of our restoration projects have an extensive photographic history, showing each stage of development, As these cars are all under restoration, you can pick and choose your own specification - this includes colour, interior, along with any upgrades such as chrome wheels, luxury carpet sets, leather seats etc. This way you can build the car you've always wanted instead of buying one that's not quite right! The photos attached are of a 1964 MGB Roadster currently under restoration for a customer who is having the car exported to Monaco. Launched at the Earls Court Motor Show in October 1962, the MGB is a two seater sports car manufactured and marketed by the British Motor Corporation (BMC), later British Leyland. The MGB brought MGs sports cars into the modern day, with its attractive slab-sided roadster body. Remaining in production until 1980 the MGB was Britains most successful sports car. The B utilised a monocoque chassis instead of the traditional body-on-frame construction used on both the MGA, MG T-Types and the MGB's rival, the Triumph TR series. Powered by British Leylands 95bhp B-Series engine the MGB offered spritely performance with a 0-60mph time of just over 11 seconds. The MGB Roadster offered here at Autostorico is a May 1970 registered example finished in Old English White with Red leather interior. Bought by its current owner from Moss as a near concours example back in 1998 this stunning car is believed to have been restored using a heritage shell. The car has been used sparingly since purchase and has only recently come out of long term storage. Upon its return to the road the car was recommissioned by Haileywood Specialist cars at a cost in excess of £4,500. Works have included a full mechanical overhaul, new interior carpets and leather interior. Other notable features include; 4 Speed overdrive gearbox, Wire wheels, Period badges and Tool kit. Offered for sale with a current V5 registration document, current MOT valid until September 2019 with no advisories. Viewing strictly by appointment only.
