This is one of the most unique Jaguar MKII's we have ever come across. This car has had a reported 60,000 spent on a major restoration and modifications enabling the car to be the ideal every day use MKII Jaguar. The beginning of the process was to find a suitable rust free car and the long term owner sourced a right hand drive New Zealand car that is in fact a very early 1959 manufactured car. The Jaguar, a 3.8 automatic was number 1500 off the production line and therefore a first year production car and this is confirmed with a Heritage trust letter. In 2002, now in the UK the rebuild began with a full strip down to bare metal .The body was found to be in excellent order and was prepared as necessary for a top class re-paint. The restoration was carried out by Grace Jaguar and James Watt Automotive in Staffordshire. James Watt spent almost 400 hours on the car prior it going to Hampton Coachtrimming for a full re-trim. Seats were re-trimmed in top quality leather and the headlining and sunvisorstrimmed in suede. A significant modification and part of the restoration was removing the running gear and replacing it with a 2.8 Nissan diesel engine and automatic gearbox enabling exceptional fuel economy and modern performance. Many years were spent restoring this fascinating car and since completion it has only covered 1400 miles. The car arrived with us having only covered 750 miles, most of this recently after the rebuild. Having been in dry storage with very little use over the past few years, a program of work totalling in the region of 4000 has been carried out and 650 miles of road testing has been covered. Work includes a full service, re-conditioned turbo, new subframe mountings, re-conditioned fuel tank, new glow plugs and control relay, new steering shaft UJ and the propshaft has been balanced. The car today presents superbly with its absolutely stunning straight bodyshell free from corrosion issues with beautiful top class metallic paintwork and gleaming chrome finishing the car offperfectly. Wire wheels are also excellent, the upholstery as expected with the low mileage since completion is beautiful and boasts impressive, expensively finished woodwork. On the road the Jaguar offers a totally different driving experience. The 2.8 modern engine is in excellent order, is responsive and offers impressive performance. The automatic gearbox changes smoothly and the handling and braking are top quality with upgraded brakes and power assisted steering. The cost of build is considerably more than the price offered thus offering an excellent opportunity for anyone looking for a heavily modified MKII Jaguar that is capable of daily use. Price: 49,995

GRU 575 was manufactured on the 7th May 1947 and was supplied new by Henlys, London to Harold Streeter. The Jaguar MKIV 2.5 left left the factory finished in Black with Brown leather upholstery and was allocated a Bournemouth registration mark. Our Jaguar had one owner from the 1960's for over 50 years but was taken off the road in 1978 and has recently undergone a £20,000 programme of recommissioning work. The Jaguar comes with Heritage Certificate, tax discs from 1975 and 1978 and is remarkably original, still retaining its original leather upholstery suggesting the recorded mileage of 79,000 is correct.

This wonderful matching numbers survivor has been in the ownership of just three owners in the US before coming to the UK recently. The E-Type benefits from a bare metal repaint in its original colour, whilst the interior retains a lovely patina. The convertible roof has been replaced with a very smart navy mohair item and the original chromework is in fine order. We understand the E-Type has had a recent service, new clutch, radiator, brake discs and pads. As such this lovely example looks beautiful and starts and runs well with good oil pressure. All in all a fine example of the model..

![CDATA[The Jaguar E-Type was manufactured between 1961 and 1975 and its combination of good looks, high performance and competitive pricing established the marque as an icon of 1960's motoring. The Series I was introduced, initially for export only in March 1961, the cars at this time used the triple SU carburetted, 3.8 litre six cylinder XK engine from the XK150S. The 3.8 litre engine was increased to 4.2 litres in October 1964 and was used until 1971 with the introduction of the Series III when the V12 engine was introduced. In 1968 the Series II car was introduced and can be recognised by its open headlights, wide air intake at the front of the bonnet and larger signal and tail-lights. The 4.2 litre engine offered increased power and usability whilst retaining the same outward appearance as the earlier cars. The Heritage Certificate supplied with this car shows that it was originally silver grey with a black interior but has undergone a colour change to an attractive dark red with creaminterior. As with many American imports, little is known of its life over there. The hood fits well having been replaced in recent years and is in very good condition. Again, the interior is in good order, though it has been reupholstered at some point with cream leather. We are informed the car runs and drives well and is mechanically strong having just benefitted from an engine rebuild, an invoice for this is supplied with the car. At the same time the vendor took the opportunity to have any electrical gremlins fixed and also an electronic ignition kit installed. Manufactured and despatch within the first two weeks of November 1969, this lovely E-Type shows the incredible demand for these cars in the 1960s. A matching numbers example, this iconic two-seater comes supplied with its V5C registration document, bill of recent mechanical work, an MoT test certificate valid until August 2019 and Heritage Certificate.]]
