The Jaguar XJ-S and latterly the XJS, was produced by Jaguar from 1975 to 1996. 115,413 cars were produced during a 21-year production life. Although it never had quite the same sporting image as the E-Type, the XJS was a competent grand touring car, and more aerodynamic than the E-Type. By 1989 more XJS variants had been produced and sold than E-Types but by 1990 sales were beginning to dip so the car was re-launched as the XJS following what was understood to be a £50 million investment programme. The XJS had almost an entirely new body-shell, which was easier to produce and galvanised. The XJS V12's capacity was enlarged to 6.0 Litres in May 1992 and now produced over 300 bhp. At the same time the car benefited from a revision to the rear brakes, they were now fitted with outboard rear disc brakes, instead of the more complicated inboard items on previous models. The transmission was also updated to a GM 4L80E with a fourth-gear overdrive. Our example was first registered in June 1993 (K Reg)andsupplied by our local Jaguar Main Dealer Harwoods of Pulborough. Finished in Regency Red with Magnolia Hide this car looks just superb from every angle. Serviced by Jaguar Main Dealers at: 6,500 miles; 10,200 miles; 17,900 miles; 22,500 miles; 30,200 mils; 37,600 miles; 44,900 miles; 48,500 miles; 50,800 miles 55,700 miles and 67,500 miles. This car has from information made available to us has been for all intents and purposes been laid up since 2007 and although she fired up with ease following a few preparatory cks we are carrying out a full re-commissioning overhaul. The extent of works done will be recorded for the new owner. If you are contemplating XJS ownership you will already know that the later 6.0 Litre cars are the ones to have either in Convertible or Coupe form along with the last Celebration models. Values have started to gather momentum in 2017 and that pattern has continued in 2018. In our opinion this example provides a very worthwhile ownership proposition.

![CDATA[The Jaguar XJS was a luxury grand tourer produced from 1975 through to 1996 and replaced the E-Type. Although it never had quite the same sporting image, the XJS was a competent grand tourer and actually more aerodynamic than the E-Type. The last XJS was produced on 4th April 1996 ending its 21 year production life. The specifications of the XJS compared well with Italian cars, brisk performance and luxury in abundance; it was able to accelerate to 60mph in 7.6 seconds and had a top speed of 143mph. From July 1981, the XJS received the new high-efficiency engine for much better economy; as a by-product, power was increased to 295bhp. To commemorate Jaguars success at the 24 Heures du Mans in 1988 and again in 1990 a limited edition Le Mans model was introduced. The Le Mans Edition model added extra leather trim, Le Mans motifs to headrests and foot plates, quad headlights, Growler bonnet badge, 16 lattice alloy wheels and a Le Mans boot badge to the package. Each of the 280 cars producedwas individually numbered. This Jaguar XJS was originally registered on 1st March 1991 and has only two former keepers. This is car number 266 of 280 is finished in Signal Red with magnolia interior and contrasting seat piping. The coachwork is in unmarked condition and the interior is commensurate with such a low mileage example. Owned by current the vendor since 1993, this Jaguar was dry stored for seven years prior to 2015 when it was refurbished mechanically by Surrey Jaguar specialists. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until October 2019, this example is one of the best we have seen. Jaguar XJSs are becoming increasingly desirable, a limited edition in such fine condition is sure to appeal to the prudent investor.]]

This stunning Jaguar XJS was first registered on the 30th August 1994 and finished in Topaz with Magnolia hide trim. The car has covered 62,000 miles from new and comes with a comprehensive file of service receipts. The XJS has recently been treated to a Dinitrol under body rust proofing and we can confirm the body is in excellent order. Prone areas such as lower wings and arches are in exceptional order and all body panels are lovely and straight with an excellent paint finish. The upholstery is stunning and as expected with such a low mileage. The carpets, leather trim and dash are all in excellent order, as is the boot area. The engine bay is very sharp and the Celebration alloys really finish the stunning, smart look of the car. The XJS is in strong mechanical order and was driven to us from South Wales. The performance of the engine, gearbox, brakes and steering are all first class and the Jaguar will be sold with a full 12 months MOT and freshly serviced. Recent work includes a new camshaftcover and within the past 5000 miles Jaguar agents Grange Motors of Swindon carried out over 2000 of work. This included a service, new radius bushes, differential seals (oil final drive, o-ring, output seals, oil pin seal, bearing-hub seal) and rectifying a rocker cover oil leak. Working back from this, the XJS was serviced at 49000 miles with Jagutech, 45000 miles by Newhall Prestige and Performance specialists (parts supplied by Rybrook Jaguar), 39974 with Rybrook Jaguar, 37416 and 34550 also with the main agents Rybrook and in 2000 at 31594 the XJS had some brake work carried out with an authorised Honda dealership. MOT's are also with the car dating back to 2000 when the car was six years old. Please note the private registration mark is not included in the sale. Price: 17,995

![CDATA[The Jaguar XJS is a luxury grand tourer produced from 1975 to 1996 and replaced the E-Type. Although it never had quite the same sporting image, the XJS was a competent replacement with better aerodynamics than the E-Type and was last produced on 4th April 1996, by which time 115,413 had been produced during a 21 year production life. The car was re-engineered in May 1991 and renamed XJS (facelift). The rear side windows appeared enlarged and the buttresses stayed, although their appearance was minimised by the new side window treatment, as designer Geoff Lawson argued that they were part of the car's character. The car received a new 4.0 litre version of the AJ16 engine. At the same time, the car benefitted from a revision to the rear brakes; they were now fitted with outboard rear disc brakes, instead of the more complicated inboard items on previous models. It also received a more aerodynamic front and rear bumpers. This wonderful example of this highly desirable model is presented inmetallic Sapphire Blue with the much favoured Oatmeal leather interior. The car comes with air conditioning, electric hood in blue, electric windows and accompanying this is a good service history, with the last service having been carried out in January of this year by the present owner. Contained within the history file are some old MoT test certificates from 2007 to 2017 with the present MoT test certificate expiring in January 2020. These Celebration models with their powerful 4.0 litre V8 engine and electric hood are hard to find in this condition, together with its drop dead gorgeous looks, it still turns heads today.]]
