1934 FORD MODEL Y ALPINE TOURER BY ARROW COACHBUILDERSFinished in deep maroon over black with red leather seats, complemented by black double duck hood and side screens. This is a UK right hand drive car from new and is both road fund licence and MoT exempt. It is one of only a few cars built, commissioned in 1934 shortly before the Company ceased to exist. This is possibly the only one left in existence today, a very rare find indeed. Arrow Coachbuilders of Hanwell London made bodies for many popular 1930s car manufacturers. The body for this particular motor car was commissioned by Ford Dealers WJ Reynolds of Eastham London for a Ford Model Y chassis which became the Ford Model Y Alpine Tourer. It passed through various Dorset keepers until it found its way to Burts Motors Ford Dealers in Swanage. They owned the motorcar from 1954 to 1998 a period of 44 years. It was then passed to Mr Booth a Ford dealer in Shaftesbury who set about a full nut and bolt restoration and at that time the electricswere converted to 12v. We believe the mileage of 82000 miles could be correct as the car was in storage for many years. A full write up featuring this car in Classic Cars Mag Dec 1999 is included along with an article from the Ford model Y and C register also featuring this very rare car. The V5 shows 1 owner from 2000 but we believe the car has had 6 owners in its lifetime. The history folder also includes, write ups, folders, correspondence, current V5, 1962 article of the car, letters, DVLA paperwork and the original buff logbook, Features include special vented body work throughout, art deco sidelights and cream art deco dashboard, folding windscreen, starting handle, double duck folding hood, cover and side screens, GB badge and Henry Ford signature to rear panel. This is a beautiful and rare vintage car in amazing condition. 19995
