The Ferrari F40 was announced in the summer of 1987 as the ultimate supercar of its generation. The last car unveiled by Mr Enzo Ferrari himself, before his death a little over a year later, it was named to celebrate his recent 40th anniversary as a car maker. The F40 was given the same 2.9L twin turbocharged V8 engine as the 288 GTO, however it was enlarged from 2,855cc to 2,936cc. This enlargement gave it 478 bhp at 7,000 rpm and it red-lined at 7,700 rpm - some 20% more than the 288 GTO. Once the enormous power was combined with a very low weight, race engineered suspension, huge tyres and trailblazing aerodynamics, the F40 could achieve a very high level of performance. It was, when released, the fastest road-going car made. Top speed was claimed to be 201 mph (the first car to break the 200mph benchmark), and it could accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.5 secs, going on to reach 120mph in 11.5 secs. With cost of around 200,000 new, Ferrari expected to sell a few hundred F40s, however the demand forwhat was to become the last car signed off by Enzo himself was such that in total around 1,300 examples were sold worldwide and thus became one of the brand's most profitable models to date The example we're offering here is an original 1991 cat, adjust car delivered new to Monaco. It has been awarded Classiche certification from the Ferrari factory and benefits from full-main dealer service history, with the camshaft drive belts and tensioner bearings being replaced in April 2017. The story of the F40 is something unique and to this day it remains one of the most recognisable supercars ever made; not only fantastic to drive but also a safe long-term investment.

The Ferrari Mondial is a mid-engined 2+2 grand tourer available as both a coupe and Cabriolet and was produced between 1980 and 1993. The Mondial took its name from Ferraris famed 500 Mondial race car from the early 1950s. The Mondial was designed by Leonardo Fioravanti of Pininfarina, with the bodywork being manufactured by the famous Italian coachbuilder Carrozzeria Scaglietti. It was conceived as a usable model, offering the practicality of four seats, a slightly higher roofline than its stable mates and a single long door on both sides for easy access. Good interior space, reasonable legroom, excellent all-round visibility all with the performance of a Ferrari. The final Mondial evolution was 1989s Mondial T. It was a substantially changed model and Spearheaded a new generation of V8 Ferraris. The t drew attention to the cars new longitudinally mounted engine and transmission layout. By adapting this layout, a longer engine could be mounted lower in the chassis, improving handling dramatically. The Mondial T is powered by a 3,405cc V8 engine which produces 300bhp propelling the car from 0-60mph in under 6.0 secs and onto a top speed in excess of 150mph. The Ferrari Mondial T Cabriolet offered here at Autostorico is a 1991 H Plate and one of only 53 RHD examples. Having covered a mere 14,213 miles, this exceptional example was supplied new by Maranello Sales Ltd of Egham on the 31st May 1991 and is finished in Blu Sera metallic with Castoro leather interior. Specification highlights include; Air conditioning, Height adjustable suspension, 16 Alloy wheels, Electric windows, Central locking and original Ferrari tool kit. The car boasts a comprehensive service history having been carried out by a mix of Ferrari main agents and latterly by McGurk Performance Cars. The most recent service was carried out at 14,115 miles in June 2019 with the cambelt being replaced in May 2018. Viewing strictly by appointment only.
