Ferraris most successful model since the 308, the F355 was always going to be a tough act to follow. Its successor needed to be ground breaking and revolutionary; two words which, without doubt the 360 lived up to. Starting with a clean sheet of paper in designing the 360 Modena, the new car attracted superlatives that put even its illustrious predecessor in the shade.Just about the only item carried over from the F355 was its glorious V8 engine, enlarged from 3.5 to 3.6 litres for the 360, producing 400bhp. In every other respect the 360 was entirely new, the most striking break with Ferrari tradition being the bodys frontal treatment; gone was the omnipresent oval grille, replaced by two separate intakes set low into the front wings. A larger car than the F355, the 360 owed its radical new shape to the quest for increased downforce, generating four times as much as its predecessor yet achieving the impressively low Cd of 0.33.There was further innovation beneath the skin: a lighter, stifferaluminium spaceframe/monocoque replacing the old tubular steel arrangement, resulting in a dry weight around 220lbs less than that of the F355. The 360s on-the-road dynamics constituted a significant advance, its best time around Ferraris Fiorano test track being some three seconds faster than the F355s.Offered for sale showing just 35,000 miles on the odometer this example comes complete with a full-service history completed by Ferrari main dealer and Ferrari Specialists. Complete with many Challenge Stradale upgrades including the front and rear spoiler, a full F1 rear diffuser, a 6 Koenig exhaust pipe arrangement as well as original Challenge Stradale Alloy wheels. The interior also boasts many upgrades including a built in Satellite navigation and base speaker system as well as an integral phone, not to mention many carbon fibre upgrades which feature heavily throughout the car. Recently the 360 was treated to maintenance work and a full service at a cost of almost 4,000 and is said to be inexcellent working order. Presented in its original colour combination with F1 style gearbox this unique, one off example represents a fantastic opportunity to acquire a low mileage 360 spider with many superior upgrades.

The Ferrari Mondial was designed by Pininfarina of Turin and built by Ferrari between 1980 and 1993 and is the perfect Ferrari for the enthusiast who needs the advantage of 2 child seats. The engine, transmission, suspension and steering are all either identical to or very similar to the 2 seater models such as the 328 GTB produced at the same time. Today the Mondial is considered to be one of Ferraris most practical designs as despite the 4 seat accommodation, the design loses none of its sports car appeal. This beautiful example that we are proud to offer for sale has covered just 46,000 miles from new and comes with a comprehensive history file and an original fully stamped service book. The car drives really well and is sensibly priced for one in this condition which we feel will continue to appreciate in value. 27,950

A rare manual gearbox, UK right-hand drive. GTi, one of only 25.The unusual Azzurro Metallic looks great with the beige/ light blue leather interior Rear air-con from new, an expensive option. Tools, jack and original book pack with service history52,275 miles. UK V5c & supplied with an MOT The 400GT was a larger-engined version of the 365GT4 2+2 that it replaced, and the 4823cc V12 power unit provided the new car with much-improved performance over its elder sister. With the arrival of the 400i in 1979, the Webers were replaced with Bosch 'K' Fuel Injection to improve emissions resulting in the output dropping substantially from 340bhp down to 305 bhp, however, some three years later, re-profiled camshafts restored around 5 bhp, bringing the output up to 310bhp. All Ferraris built in this period were costly, low-production machines, based on increasingly complex tubular chassis frames clad in hand-crafted body shells which had been styled by Pininfarina and were produced at the Scaglietticoachbuilding works in Modena. This 1982 Ferrari 400 GTi, one of only 25 manual UK-market, right-hand drive cars, was supplied through Emblem Sports cars on 9th November 1982 to its first owner, a Mrs A. Fournier of Poole, Dorset. Finished in a delightful shade of Azzurro Metallica with Beige/Sky Blue hide, the car was specified with Royal Blue carpets along with desirable rear air-conditioning - a £710 option from new! After a couple of years of ownership, the Ferrari was sold to a Mr J.D Lawrence who kept it until 2004 when it was purchased by a Mr J. Connell.During Mr Connell's ownership, around 2008/9, the car benefitted from a host of mechanical works undertaken by specialist Neal Lucas Sports Cars. This included a replacement fuel pump and fuel filters, inner/outer rear wheel bearings, rebuilding of the starter motor, a replacement clutch, a front hub assembly overhaul, replacement front brakes disc and pads, and most importantly, an engine overhaul which included replacement exhaustvalves, anew head gasket, new timing chain, and new cam covers. Invoices from the aforementioned specialist total more than £15,000 for this work. The car is accompanied by its tools and jack, the original book pack containing the service history, numerous invoices and old MOTs, a UK V5c and will arrive at the sale with a fresh MoT Certificate. The odometer currently reads just 52,275 miles. These four-seat, 400 Series Ferraris were essentially 'Grand Tourers' but with the five-speed manual box, 310bhp and 1,700kg they were no slouch, and a top speed of 150mph is within reach.Classic V12 Ferraris are becoming exceptionally difficult to source, particularly really good 400s, many having languished in a corner for years before being taken off the road, so well-maintained, quality cars are finding a ready market. This rare, manual gearbox car in a super colour with its distinctive interior is particularly desirable and is sure to find a good home.
