The Ferrari 365 GTB/4 (to use its official title) was the immediate descendant for the much revered 275 GTB/4 and was first shown at the Paris motor show, 1968A The Daytona nickname was supposedly invented by Ferrari aficionados and affiliates of the media in acknowledgment of the factory's unforgettable 1-2-3 triumph in the 1967 Daytona 24 hour editionA Alternatively, the story is that Ferrari had originally planned to employ the Daytona name, but changed their mind when news of the story leaked prior to the model's revealA The Tipo 251 engine was an improvement of the DOHC V12 of the 275 GTB/4, and at 4,390cc was roughly 33% larger in capacityA Six twin-choke Weber carburettors fed fuel to the engine, enabling it to produce 352bhp at 7,500rpm; enough to propel the 1,280kg machine to 60mph in under 5A5 seconds and on to a top speed of around 174mph, with a five-speed transaxle powering the rear wheelsA Manufacture ran from 1968 to 1976, throughout which time a total of 1,406 examples areunderstood to have been built - 1,269 road-going Coupes and 122 SpidersA Of the total, 158 Coupes and just seven Spiders were produced in right hand drive formA However, early versions of the model featured a full-width Plexiglass cover for the twin headlights, and the car we are offering is one of the 35 (approxA) RHD UK delivered carsA Chassis number 12853 initiallly left Maranello on the 3rd September 1969 and was sold through ColA Ronnie Hoare to Lord CowdrayA It remained in England until 2003 where it went to a large Danish CollectionA The car has since returned to England and it sits today in very good conditionA It has been awarded Ferrari Classiche Certification to supplement its already strong history file which includes a Massini report, period correspondence, plus many MOT's and also invoices for various worksA

1971Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona (RHD) for sale in London Genuine UK supplied car 1 of only 158 RHD examples One of the largest history file's we have seen! Sold with an original Ferrari Daytona book pack and toll roll Purchased new by well known power boat racer Norman Buckley Every Ferrari is, to a greater or lesser extent, a landmark car, but few of Maranellos road models have captured the imagination like the 365 GTB/4. The ultimate expression of Ferraris fabulous line of V12 front-engined sports cars, the 365 GTB/4 debuted at the Paris Salon in 1968, soon gaining the unofficial name Daytona in honour of the sweeping 1, 2, 3 finish by the Ferrari 330P4 at that circuit in 1967. Pininfarinas Leonardo Fioravanti, later the famed Carrozzeria director of research and development, was responsible for the influential shark-nosed styling, creating a package that restated the traditional long bonnet, small cabin, short tail look in a manner suggesting muscular horsepower while retaining all theeleganceassociated with the Italian coachbuilders work for Maranello. At the time of its introduction in 1968 the Daytona was the most expensive production Ferrari ever and, with a top speed in excess of 170mph, it was also the worlds fastest production car. Deliveries commenced in the second half of 1969 and the Daytona would be manufactured for just four years; not until the arrival of the 456 GT in 1992 would Ferrari build anything like it again. Only 158 RHD Berlinetta models and 7 Spyder convertibles had been made when production ceased in 1973. DD Classics is proud to offer this stunning Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona, a genuine RHD UK supplied car finished in its original colour scheme of Rosso Chiaro with Nero hide, it is probably one of the best available. It comes complete with one of the largest history file's we have seen, including an original Ferrari book pack as well as a Ferrari tool roll. Within the history file is the original purchase invoice, previous MOT certificates and numerousinvoicesof works carried out, it is clear the car has been fastidiously maintained over the course of its life. Supplied new by Marranello Concessionaires to Norman Buckley, prolific British & European hydroplane champion throughout the 1950's and 60's. When Norman began to lose his eyesight he 'gave' the car to his close friend Alan Langtree who in turn sold it to a Mr. M Lake from Barrow in Furness, Mr. Lake used the car on various continental trips, completing the Cannonball run in 1990 and again in 1991 with actor James Coburn. It's next owner treated the car to a full bare metal respray, the bumpers, wheel centres and side lamps etc., were re-chromed and the interior was refreshed. In 2016the engine benefitted from a deep service and reconditioning by Ferranti engineering. This is simply one of the most attractive Daytonas we have had the privilege of owning. If you are thinking of a V12 front engined Ferrari Daytona to add to your collection, you must see this car in the flesh, nothing elsewill thensuffice. The Ferrari 328 was introduced in 1985 as the successor to the vaunted 308 series of cars, quickly becoming a car synonymous with the late 80s. Although based on its predecessor, the 328 represented an entirely new approach to the sports car market; a softer design inspired by aerodynamics and performance. The classic mid-engined layout was retained, however the 3.2 litre V8 was a step up from the 308 QV motor, now pushing out 270 bhp and capable of launching the 328 to 60mph in less than 6 seconds. The 328 was on offer in GTB and GTS guise, with the latter far out-selling its fixed-top brother, mainly due to success in the US market. The car was made from 1985-1989, with over 7,000 produced in that time. The popularity of the car was not only down to its iconic styling, but also fantastic handling and true usability that had not been seen in previous mid-engined Ferraris. The example we are offering presents exceptionally well and is showing just 317 miles from new! The car was delivered new tothe U.K. in 1989, being supplied via Maranello Concessionaires in Egham. It is finished in the iconic and desirable Ferrari colourway of Rosso Corsa over Crema leather. The car maintains a vast history folder and benefits further from Classiche Certification, illustrating its originality and quality. This car presents the extraordinary opportunity to purchase an incredibly low mileage, RHD 328 GTS and would make a truly special addition to any Ferrari collection.

Originally debuted at the 1984 Paris Auto Show, the Testarossa embraced everything that was great about Maranello's finest. A car that was unashamedly built for drivers, with a screaming top note, eye catching bodywork and the unmistakable Italian flair that only Ferrari is capable of injecting into their vehicles. The Testarossa can trace its roots back to the faults of the 512BBi, many who drove the car noted that cabin temperatures could get relatively high due to the plumbing of the front mounted radiator unit that ran through the cabin in order to pair with the mid-mounted engine. Secondly many noted a lack of useable luggage space, a problem that Pininfarina combated by making the car slightly larger in order to accommodate more storage space. The design of the car at Pininfarina was led largely by the legendary Leonardo Fioravanti, who applied his encyclopaedic knowledge of aerodynamics to ensuring that the car was as visually stunning as it was functionally sound. The greatest example ofthis in practice was the design of the iconic side intakes present on the Testarossa models, these intakes served two main functions; firstly they drew clean air to the side mounted radiators, this air was then re-directed upwards and out of the rear of the car by a series of channels located on the engine lid and tail of the car. The F512M was the final version of the Testarossa, and only 501 were produced. It features a longitudinally mounted 4.9L Flat-12 producing 500Nm of Torque at 5,500rpm and a maximum power output of 440hp at 6,750rpm. Each cylinder has four valves, lubricated by a dry sump system with a compression ratio of 10.40:1. The new titanium connecting rods and crankshaft (which altogether weigh around 7.26kg less than their predecessors) mean that the car is electronically limited to 7,500rpm. 0-62mph in 4.7 seconds, a standing quarter mile time of 10.2 seconds and a maximum speed of 196mph are figures that many other modern day supercars envy, 25 years after this car first saw theroads. This car is unbelievably desirable, unbelievably collectable and is sure to continue to appreciate in value as time moves on. The car we're offering is showing under 12,500 miles from new and is finished in Rosso Corsa with Nero interior, including the highly desirable carbon racing seats with red inserts.
