The Ferrari 365 GTB/4 (to use its official title) was the immediate descendant for the much revered 275 GTB/4 and was first shown at the Paris motor show, 1968A The Daytona nickname was supposedly invented by Ferrari aficionados and affiliates of the media in acknowledgment of the factory's unforgettable 1-2-3 triumph in the 1967 Daytona 24 hour editionA Alternatively, the story is that Ferrari had originally planned to employ the Daytona name, but changed their mind when news of the story leaked prior to the model's revealA The Tipo 251 engine was an improvement of the DOHC V12 of the 275 GTB/4, and at 4,390cc was roughly 33% larger in capacityA Six twin-choke Weber carburettors fed fuel to the engine, enabling it to produce 352bhp at 7,500rpm; enough to propel the 1,280kg machine to 60mph in under 5A5 seconds and on to a top speed of around 174mph, with a five-speed transaxle powering the rear wheelsA Manufacture ran from 1968 to 1976, throughout which time a total of 1,406 examples areunderstood to have been built - 1,269 road-going Coupes and 122 SpidersA Of the total, 158 Coupes and just seven Spiders were produced in right hand drive formA However, early versions of the model featured a full-width Plexiglass cover for the twin headlights, and the car we are offering is one of the 35 (approxA) RHD UK delivered carsA Chassis number 12853 initiallly left Maranello on the 3rd September 1969 and was sold through ColA Ronnie Hoare to Lord CowdrayA It remained in England until 2003 where it went to a large Danish CollectionA The car has since returned to England and it sits today in very good conditionA It has been awarded Ferrari Classiche Certification to supplement its already strong history file which includes a Massini report, period correspondence, plus many MOT's and also invoices for various worksA

The Ferrari 550 Maranello marked the return of a front engine, rear wheel drive, 2 seater V12, 23 years after the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona's production ended. In 2002, Ferrari replaced the 550 Maranello with the updated 575M Maranello; in terms of appearance this meant minor styling improvements by Pininfarina, a renewed interior and new wheels. The most significant changes being mechanically with an increase in displacement to 5.75 litres, larger brake discs, better weight distribution, improved aerodynamics and an adaptive suspension working in conjunction with the newly offered F1 semi-automatic gearbox, which shifted in as fast as 200 milliseconds. All of the above resulting in 515 hp, a top speed of 199 mph and a 0-62 mph launch in 4.2 seconds. The Ferrari 575 Superamerica was introduced in 2005 with an innovative rotating roof featuring an electrochromic glass panel housed by a carbon fibre roof structure. This being a first in a production vehicle, where the roof rotates 180° in 10 seconds when opened and lies flat over the boot. Patented as Revocromico, the roof hinges on a single axis with the boot lid and allows access to the luggage compartment even with the roof open. The opacity of the roof was also adjustable by a dial in the cabin, allowing full brightness in its lightest setting or 1% in its darkest setting. Mechanically, the Ferrari 575 Superamerica received an engine tune to 540 hp, and thanks to the latter, was the world's fastest convertible at the time. Production was limited to 559 units and the name derived from the iconic Ferrari 400 and 410 superamerica's built between 1956 and 1964. Our 2006 Ferrari 575 Superamerica was delivered on the 24th of January 2006 by Ineco Auto in Padova. Its specification being Argento Nurburgring over Grey Leather with contrasting silver stitching. The most important option on the vehicle being the HGTC package, which includes a sportier suspension set up, sports exhausts, red brake calipers and last but not least CCM Carbon Composite Material brake discs for endless stopping power. She is now showing 26,000 km (16,000 m) and comes UK registered with a major service, cam belts replaced by ourselves, 4 new tyres and the notorious sticky plastics rectified. The Ferrari 575 Superamerica is in our belief the modern day Ferrari Daytona Spider, it is a rare breed and a great investment for the future.

2001 Ferrari 550 Barchetta (RHD) for sale in London Only 13,800 miles from new 1 of just 42 RHD examples Comprehensive service history with 10 dealer stamps Coming from a famous British owners collection Limited edition example Ferraris 550 Maranello heralded a return to the companys roots in the grandest fashion. A two-seat, front-engined V-12 coup had been absent from the companys line-up since the 365 GTB/4 Daytona. The decision was made to revive the format as a replacement for Ferraris mid-engine, flat-12 models. The result was an improvement over the outgoing F512 M, as it boasted superior performance, a larger and more comfortable interior, and a boot that could easily hold enough luggage for a weeklong road trip for two. Like the Daytona, the 550 Maranellos success warranted the production of a limited-edition variant. It was decided that this car would be a homage to some of Ferraris earliest and most desirable cars. First displayed at the 2000 Paris Motor Show, the 550 Barchetta was abarchetta in the truest sense. With only a rudimentary soft top for emergency use when caught in the rain, it featured a shorter, more aggressively raked windshield, two-piece alloy wheels, an aluminium fuel-filler cap, and a restyled boot that was, surprisingly, larger than that of the coup. A total of 448 Barchettas were produced, four more than initially planned due to concerns of superstition in the Japanese market but only 42 examples were produced in right hand drive our car was the 6th to be manufactured. DD Classics is proud to offer this exclusive and rare RHD 550 Barchetta for sale, presented in a stunning colour combination of Blu Nartwith Tan hide and Bordeaux carpets. Our car is in superb condition throughout, the paintwork is exquisite, the bodywork is straight, the removable soft-top remains unmarked and is easy to erect. Inside, the 550 emanates exclusivity, its Tan hide seats are in wonderful order and with the carbon fibre racing seats this really feels like one special Ferrari. Our 550 Barchettahas travelled a mere 13,800 miles from new and comes complete with the original Ferrari bookpack and service book as well as a comprehensive file of paperwork. The service book shows the car was first owned by a famous British rockstar and contains a total number of 11 stamps from Ferrari dealers. Marking the rebirth of Ferraris drop-top, front-engine V-12, the 550 Barchetta is one of the most celebrated Ferraris of the earliest 21st century and a wonderful driving automobile in every right. For many enthusiasts, there is nothing better than the thrill of driving a V-12 mated to a six-speed manual transmission and combined with the experience of open-air motoring. The 550 Barchetta has quickly proven to be a true modern-day collectible, as it combines modern speed and performance with the feel and charisma of a vintage Ferrari. Considering its low mileage and beautiful colour combination, this would make a thrilling and unique addition to any significant collection. Wonderfullyusable yet unique enough to still provide a sense of occasion every time one slides into the drivers seat, the 550 Barchetta is truly an incredible car to own and behold, and one that never tires of providing top-down fun in the sun. The Dino range of sports cars was named in honour of Enzo Ferrari's son, Alfredino, who designed a dual overhead-camshaft V6 engine for both road and racing use before tragically passing away at the age of 24. The 206GT was the first model to be introduced in 1967, proving that Ferrari could compete with the likes of Porsche by producing a car in the more budget end of the sports car spectrum. The 206 featured a 2.0 litre transverse-mounted V6 engine capable of producing 160bhp at the 8,000rpm redline. After 150 206s were produced, the updated 246 GT and GTS were introduced, boasting a bigger and more powerful 2.4 litre engine, which produced almost 200bhp and powered the Dino onto a top speed of 148mph. This power was sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed all-synchromesh manual gearbox. The Dino's 2.4 litre V6 was used in several other Italian sports cars after its application in the 246, most notably the Lancia Stratos rally car. Weighing only 1,080kg, the perfect weight distribution of theDino thanks to its Rear-Mid-Engine layout was one of the defining features of the car, one of the all-time great handing Ferraris, on top of being one of the most beautiful. The car we are pleased to offer is a 1973 example that is finished in Rosso Corsa over Nero leather hide. It sits today in fantastic condition after covering just under 55,000 miles from new. The Dino is a staple of any Ferrari collection and is a car that every enthusiast should experience at least once in their lifetime.
