This large, impressive vintage tourer was assembled/built by General Motors Holden Pty, Sydney, Australia in 1927 and is a Four Door Deluxe Sport model. The Buick was built in right hand drive specification for the Australian market where it spent almost seventy years. In 2005 the Buick was exported out of Australia to Germany and in 2006 registered in the United Kingdom. Over the past ten years the vehicle has been in Lancashire and has come to us in part exchange from one of our regular customers near Preston. The Buick has been in regular use and our customer, now into his 80's has used the Buick as his every day car. He likes one car at a time, likes to change annually, and doesn't cover big mileages but likes to be able to jump and drive his car locally most days. For this reason, the Buick has had to be reliable, on the button, and capable of round town driving.

Probably the best 1939 Buick Straight 8 Fireball Special Sedan in existence. Being a 100 point concours car, this one in a million find after spending decades in a dry storage garage and only having covered some 30,000 miles from new with 3 owners, but still being a good sound example, was eventually taken out of her garage in 2011 and the new owner, being a perfectionist, proceeded to spend over 50,000 over the next 15 months, on a total body off, nut and bolt restoration at no expense spared. All bills and receipts for work carried out are available with this magnificent car and her mileage still showing less than 34,000 miles from new. Still retaining her original brochures, handbooks, workshop manual and original Buick memorabilia. As stated in the Classic American magazine of 2014, If one was ever to wonder what it was like to own or drive a brand new straight 8 American Sedan out of the showroom back in the 1930s, this 1939 Buick special is as close as you could possibly get. Being finishedin her original colour of Graphite with matching lush Grey wool interior. White wall tyres and all period fittings. I would challenge anyone that could possibly fault this car in any way shape or form as even its original radio works perfectly and is the ultimate American Classic for any genuine enthusiast. This is our own car and not a commission sale.

  • Auction: 5th/6th Oct 2017 - RM Auctions - Hershey Sale

To be OFFERED AT AUCTION WITHOUT RESERVE at RM Sotheby's Hershey event, October 5-6, 2017.Estimate:$55,000 - $65,000 USUnrestored with one repaint in its original color Optional Dynaflow automatic transmissionFactory-optional fog lights and spot lightThoroughly solid example with no rustThe 1949 Buick Super was the first year of a new body design that would be used by Buick until 1953. It shared the C-Body platform with the legendary Buick Roadmaster but rode on a shorter wheelbase of 121 inches. Featuring the iconic Buick "VentiPorts," the Super took styling cues from the Roadmaster but was offered at a lower price, making it the solid mid-range Buick of the era.The Buick Super convertible offered here is in a fine state of preservation, never having been fully restored. It has been repainted once, approximately 40 years ago, in its original black finish and still presents outstandingly well with excellent original chrome. A new red leather interior in the correct grain and new red carpetwasinstalled in January 2017. The car is equipped with the desirable factory-optional fog lights and spotlight, and the Dynaflow transmission has been fully rebuilt for trouble-free motoring. In addition to being a rust-free, solid automobile, this exceptional example of Flint's finest also offers an interesting history. It is believed to have been sold new in Virginia. Over the following 27 years, it changed hands between three owners, all of whom lived on the very same block! The residents of that neighborhood no doubt recognized the quality and elegance of this beautiful Buick.Fully serviced with a rebuilt transmission and newer tires, this Buick Super Convertible is offered with just 51,000 miles on the odometer. Given the cleanliness of the chassis and solid nature of the car, it is believed that this is the original mileage. This time capsule automobile makes afinechoice for showing or touring and is ready to be enjoyed. • Auction: 5th/6th Oct 2017 - RM Auctions - Hershey Sale

To be OFFERED AT AUCTION at RM Sotheby's Hershey event, October 5-6, 2017.Estimate:$75,000 - $95,000 USVery rare top-of-the-line Buick; one of 843 builtFine presentation in correct colorsClassic Car Club of America (CCCA) Full ClassicLeading the all-eight-cylinder Buick line for 1931 was the Series 90, with a 104-hp engine that incorporated such innovations as an oil temperature regulator to cool the engine at high speeds and warm it in cold weather, as well as thermostatically controlled radiator shutters, as found on Duesenbergs and Packards. According to historian Beverly Rae Kimes, every component of the new model was tested over hundreds of thousands of miles to ensure that it would be as durable as previous Buicks. The basic resemblance of the Series 90 to a Cadillac was no coincidence; the two shared many of the same Fisher bodies, and the introduction of the 1931 Series 90 marked the beginning of a decade-long Cadillac-Buick rivalry for high-end luxury sales. Not surprisingly, the Series90is today one of the few Buicks accorded Full Classic status by the Classic Car Club of America. Its excellent road abilities make it a popular CARavan choice. This glamorous roadster, one of only 843 built, represents the top of the Series 90 line, and arguably the most desirable body style with collectors today. An older restoration in the correct factory color scheme of Martinique Blue and black with a brown leather interior, it is equipped with wide whitewall tires on cream wire wheels, wind wings, a flying lady radiator mascot, and a covered rear-mounted trunk and rack. As a CCCA Full Classic, it would be a desirable CARavan entrant for a thrilled new owner.
