1935 Austin 12/4 Eaton DHC with Dickey Chassis number: 19259 Registration number: SX3964 This car was purchased new from Bo'Ness Austin dealer Geo Ainslie & son by a lady; One Miss Isabella M. Rowe. A lady not given to variety, she kept the car until 1963 covering during that time a scant 41,000 miles. Upon her passing the car went to her Nephew who used it until 1967 and simply dry stored it leaving it in the utterly original condition we find it in today with now 42,788 miles covered. The car comes to us on its original green log book & we have not yet applied for a modern V5 & are almost loathe to do so. This is a time warp low mileage car which is untouched from new save for a new hood as the old one had simply got to the unuseable state. The car comes with its original side screens & original upholstery in super lightly patinated condition. We have recommissioned the car & it is now running beautifully. The hood is a simple affair lowering after releasing two catches. The dickey folds open allowing for Tesco grocery bags to be carried in comfort, or passengers to be carried in mild discomfort. We have not a scrap of paperwork with the car other then the original green log book which we found in the car when collecting it from the garage of the estate sale of the deceased property owner. The whole car has a delightful veneer of patination to it & could be described as "Oily Rag" condition, but really it is too good for attachment of so coarse a moniker. The seats coverings are completely intact & ready for the next 100 or so K. The engine starts readily & runs with good oil pressure. The car has a whole has a low mileage feel to it & is simply a pleasure to meander down B roads in. The 4 speed gear box is light & easy to use equipped as it is with synchromesh. The windscreen folds open allowing a pleasant draught of air to keep one cool. The runs easily at 50mph running cool & exhibiting good oil pressure. This superbly rebuilt Austin Mini Cooper MKI was built on the 7th June 1967 finished in Almond Green with Old English White roof with Porcelain Green and Dove Grey upholstery. From the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust we know the Mini was subject of Personal Export Delivery and was brought back to the UK in LHD format in 2017 from a long term owner in Ontario, Canada. The Heritage Certificate also confirms this to be a matching numbers car. The Austin Mini Cooper MKI was subject of a professional nut and bolt rebuild in 2007 and this included new 'dry' subframes that were powder coated prior to fitting. With the Mini 99% complete, it was placed into storage for ten years and in 2017 had to be sold in need of some final fettling. In 2017 the Cooper arrived in the UK and was professionally converted to RHD and with the engine removed, it was stripped for checking and bottom rings found to be sticking. Due to this new rings were fitted and everything else was found as new and photographs of thiswork are present in the history file along with a report on the engine. The engine was re-assembled, re-fitted and set up on a rolling road and 600 faultless miles have been covered since. Further work and expenditure included new tyres, a new heater sourced and fitted and real attention to detail has gone into the final stages to ensure correct period items have been fitted to the car such as Rainbow wiper blades, correct boot board, correct instrument binnacle and speedo, even the Austin rocker cover label has correct solid rivets not pop rivets like so many other rebuilt Mini's. Due to some after market wheel arch trims being fitted in Canada, the UK owner decided to remove these resulting in the front and rear wings, doors, bonnet, front panel and both valances being re-painted resulting in an all-round top class finish to the restoration. VBY 478E has only covered 600 miles since completion and has arrived with us in immaculate condition. The bodywork and paintwork are first class, theunderside is body colour and has recently been clear waxoyled, chrome work is superb and the engine bay is of a showing winning standard. The fully re-trimmed interior is first class, the boot compartment superb and boasting Cooper S (optional) wheels and Downton type mirrors the Mini really does look outstanding. This Cooper is equally as impressive on the road and boasts upgrades to include the adjustable dry suspension, oil cooler, Mini fin rear drums and with its rebuilt engine and balanced crank, performance is impressive. VBY 478E holds the road perfectly, is perfect up and down the gears and is exactly as expected having covered such low mileage since a major professional rebuild. The most recent owner searched for a Cooper this good for almost three years and has spent more time polishing and detailing it than driving it on the road. This is a really special car, its stunning, detailed and just as good to drive. Price: 29,995

Vintage and Prestige are proud to offer this 1925 Austin Seven Brooklands Super Sports For Sale. Registration: XY 5634 Chassis no: 9808 Engine no: M14667 Body no: TA4 In 1923 E.C. Gordon England developed and built a small racing car based on Austin Seven Parts which he successfully raced at Brooklands in the JCC 200 Mile Race of October that year. Very attractive replicas were then made available to the public to meet the demand for a small sports racing car built on the popular Austin Seven chassis and these were marketed as the Brooklands Super Sports from 1924. Early examples had a fabric covering, but the polished aluminum body with pointed tail and streamlined fairings soon evolved. Prices were high, costing from £265 without wings and windscreen to £505 fully equipped in 1926, at a time when a Chummy cost just £149. Tom Abernathy constructed a small number of meticulous replicas of the very successful Brooklands Super Sports and this car is one such example, built up with a numbered Abernathy frame on a correct 1925 chassis with original London registration number, with correct period fittings including 6-inch brakes. As the car was intended for VSCC competition, the engine was built up with a Phoenix crankshaft and rods with shell bearings and a self-alligning rear main. A 1925 cylinder head with raised compression and the Petcocks blanked off with brass plugs. Ports were polished and a sports three branch exhaust manifold fitted with a Brooklands exhaust can and fishtail. A re-built magneto and starter with new ring gear, lightened flywheel, uprated oil pump and Solex 30mm up-draught carburetor complete the reconstruction and have resulted in a strong, powerful and reliable engine. The three speed gear-box has been fitted with a long second gear (Rolt gearing), and standard gears are included with the car. Gear selection is by a quick action remote gear lever. A standard original type gear leaver and top plate are also included. An original 1925 date stamped complete spare rear axle casing and torque tube is included with the car. The body is an exact replica of the 1925 Brooklands Super Sports, finished in polished aluminium over an ash frame and with very shapely steel wings, leather upholstery, a correct period dashboard and instruments. The car also has period lamps front and rear and aero screens to suit. The extensive rebild was completed in 2003 and car then commenced a very successful VSCC competition career, being the only Brooklands amongst a shoal of Ulster replicas. XY5634 is currently fully road legal with V5c VSCC Buff form, an extensive car history archive and manuals are included with the car. In our showroom and ready for viewing.
