1936 Austin 7 Opal Tourer Registration Number: DPK 160 Chassis Number: 224337 Engine Number: M219546 MOT Test Expiry: Exempt Guide: £7500 - 9500 Road Tax Exempt Much has been written about the Austin Seven, the 747cc side valve 4 cylinder engine, the wheelbase of 63 (69 from late 1931) and the overall length of just 106 usually. The jewels in the model range include the Ruby, the Pearl and as offered here, the Opal. Designed as a tourer for two persons, the Opal turns heads and creates a throng of enthusiasts when parked, perhaps because of its relative rarity. As with all Sevens, it is light and easy to drive and has an adequate performance with little thirst. Repairs tend to be simple and spare parts plentiful, due to the excellent support from the Owners Club. Even if a breakdown should occur, there is a sporting chance that a roadside fix will be possible, as against the average modern where there is little point in even opening the bonnet. The fuel for a Seven flows sometimes by gravity from a scuttle mounted tank to the carburettor, although later models have a simple pump. DPK 160 is part of a private collection and appears to be generally good, with tidy bodywork and interior. The hood is servicable but the sidescreens are absent. Mechanically all looks present and correct but as no battery is fitted, we can only recommend that a period of re-commissioning is carried out once the motor car is safely home. The motor car is offered with the V5C registration certificate, an older V5 document, showing the Austin was acquired by the current family in November 1997, plus various invoices and old MOT test certificates. Addendum: RF60 and VE60 registration books are also supplied. To be offered at auction on Thursday 11 July 2019 - Please visit our website for full information...

1961 Austin Seven Mini 848cc. Old English White with Red and Grey upholstery. Mini Cooper values have been rising steadily for some years now but, as Issigonis's revolutionary baby celebrates its 60th anniversary, all its myriad versions have come under the spotlight, and good early 848cc examples are in increasingly strong demand. This pretty September 1961 Austin Seven variant has been a resident of Bristol for most of its life to date, and has apparently covered a modest 49,700 miles from new. The Red and White interior trim is original, while the bodywork and mechanicals were restored between 2008 and 2010, during which the car was resprayed in its attractive original colour of Old English White. The car runs and drives extremely well and performs just as it should with a strong engine and smooth gearbox. The top end of the market now sees these cars in excess of £20000 so we see this car at very good value at the asking price. Absolutely any inspection is welcome. All major debit cardsaccepted. Vintage and Prestige are proud to offer this 1930 Austin 7 RK Fabric Saloon (Seven) For Sale. Chassis no: 122301 Registration: GK 6376 Right from the moment of its launch in 1922, the Austin Seven was an unprecedented success that not only saved Austin but wiped out most other small cars and cyclecars of the early 1920s. Simply yet brilliantly engineered by Herbert Austin and his young protégé, Stanley Edge, at Austins home, it quite literally put Britain on the road. Occupying barely more tarmac than a motorcycle and sidecar, the Seven still managed to squeeze in all the comforts of a family saloon and boasted such luxuries as four-wheel drum brakes and (from 1924) an electric starter. Built around an A-frame leaf-sprung chassis and powered by a 10hp 747cc four-cylinder side-valve engine, it had transverse-leaf spring suspension at the front and quarter-elliptics to the rear. Available in numerous different body styles, it remained in production until 1939. Uncomplicated, huge fun to drive and bursting with character, this miniature masterpiece has long been the backbone of the vintage car movement. This particular Seven is a rare lightweight RK saloon of which few were made between 1928 and 1930, available with either aluminium or fabric bodywork. First registered in Plymouth in October 1929, the car remained in Devon for the next 80 years although it apparently spent the last 50 of them in storage. This charming and rare fabric bodied vintage Austin 7 has been the subject of a major body-off restoration some five years ago, as a result she is offerered in excellent condition. Mechanically she is also great, and has benefitted by a recent major service by our workshops, currently in our showrooms and ready to go. 1934 Austin Seven APD Military Tourer Chassis Number: 276655 Registration number:YXG775 A rare survivor of an assortment of Austins built to military contract specification. This car has had much money spent on it in the last three years & also in the 1990's as an assortment of bills testify. Freshly serviced it is running beautiful with suprisingly sprightly performance for such a dinimutive machine trotting along merrily between 40 & 50 MPH. The car is finished in a jaunty shade of blue with black wings. The paint is patinated & adds to the charm of the car. The engine bay is clean, tidy & well looked after. The interior seat backs are original but the seat bases have been re-covered. Behind the seats is a useful lockable storage box under the parcel shelf. The car is equipped with a good recent convertible top. Side screens also come with the car for inclement motoring. The car sits on four wire wheels shod with new tyres & a single spare is mounted to the rear. Very period looking this car is a delight to drive with an easy to use 4 speed synchromesh gear box. At 6ft 3" tall & long of leg, I have no trouble fitting in it & driving it. The car is a 1933/1934 model but was not road registered until 1937, presumably being used on a military base prior to its first registration. The car is VSCC Dated & comes with a VSCC eligibility document. A buff log book also comes with the car. This Austin Seven is in fine running condition with a willing rebuilt engine that starts instantly & pulls surprisingly strongly. It is a delight to drive & elicits smiles wherever it goes.
