![CDATA[The Donald Healey Motor Company used the designations BN1 and BN2 for the first two Austin-Healey cars with BN4 for the 100-6 four seater and BN6 for the two seater six cylinder cars. The 100-6 was born from the Austin-Healey 100/4, 100M and 100S models and marked the change over from the four cylinder to the six cylinder engine. The production of the BN4 had begun at Longbridge in May 1956, immediately after that of the four cylinder BN2 had stopped and it continued there until December 1957 before moving to the Abingdon plant. At introduction, only the four seater car was available as Donald Healey had become convinced that was what the market wanted. The BN4 was based on some of the lessons learned in the development of the BN3. For some unknown reason, the designation BN4 was given to the two-plus-two car. This is the only instance where the N is used on a four seater model. This Longbridge car is a wonderful example of someone pursuing their passion. When restoring the car, the thenowner, decided not to follow the rulebook. Originally exported to Düssledorf, Germany in November of 1956 and interestingly specified with a MPH speedometer, he converted the car from left to righthand drive and upgraded the engine to a Mk. I 3000 unit whilst keeping the desirable early centre creased bonnet. Not content to stop there he fitted a fast road cam, 2 SU carburettors, large core radiator, front disc brakes, aluminium fuel tank, 3000 style wing vents, rear roll cage, overdrive gearbox, 72 spoke wheels, front spot lights and trimmed in the rear seats. Whilst not for the purist, the work on this car has been done well and it is a huge amount of fun, giving anything a run for its money on any B-road. This lovely car is supplied with V5C registration document, a current MoT test certificate valid until October 2019, a comprehensive history file including receipts from the rebuild along with photographs and a Heritage Certificate.]]

This top class Austin Healey Frogeye Sprite was built on the 22nd April 1959, despatched to dealership Carey & Lambert Limited in Southampton two days later. The Frogeye was supplied new in Iris Blue, with Blue trim, Black hood and was ordered with rev counter, front bumper, toughened windscreen and tonneau cover. A micro film of the original warranty form is also with the car giving the name of the first owner, Mr L C Dennis and confirms registration mark XTR 966 was issued in Southampton. XTR 966 was driven to us faultlessly from Nottinghamshire from for the initial viewing and is a fabulous little car. The car is well and truly sorted with a fit, strong engine with an incredibly well detailed engine, the bodywork is a delight with super straight panels and the Iris Blue paint finish excellent. The chrome work is of an excellent standard, the wire wheels and tyres excellent and the interior first class having been fully re-trimmed with its last owner. Whilst the body was restored after many yearsoff the road in 1994 and a 1275cc engine fully rebuilt in 2002, the last owner has spent a lot of money taking the car to the next level. Over the past few thousand miles Longstone Tyres supplied brand new wheels and tyres and there are invoices for new brake discs and pads, new calipers, various poly bushes, anti-roll bar bushes, link arms, wheel bearings, a Frontline Development alloy radiator, full re-trim, new steering wheel, heater box, air-ducting, steering rack gaiters, engine mountings, clutch slave cylinder, master cylinder and new exhaust silencer. Since this work the Frogeye has covered just a few thousand miles and is a brilliant car to drive. With its subtle and recommended upgrades, it really is ideal for regular use. With improved braking, cooling system and performance, this is a drivers Frogeye and it will not disappoint on the road. Its quick, responsive, lots of fun and the condition matches the impressive performance on the road. The car is very sharp, the engine bay top classand with its stunning paint and recently replaced interior, excellent weather gear, this is a very special car UK supplied subtly upgraded car. ![CDATA[The Austin-Healey 3000 was built from 1959 to 1967 and is the best known of the 'big' Healey models. The car's bodywork was made by Jensen Motors and the vehicles were assembled at the BMC Abingdon works. The 3000 was a successful car which won its class in many European rallies during its heyday and also ran at Le Mans during that period; as such it's still used in competition by enthusiasts today. Introduced in March 1961, the 3000 Mk. II came with triple SU carburettors and an improved camshaft; designated the BT7 Mk. II (2+2 seat version) and BN7 Mk. II (two-seat version). However, upon the introduction of the BJ7 model in January 1962, the number of carburettors was reduced to two, mainly due to the problems experienced with balancing three carburettors. This fabulous original righthand drive, UK supplied Austin-Healey 3000 Mk. II is presented in the distinctive colour combination of black over ivory with a red interior. It has overdrive in third and fourth gears, a wood-rim steeringwheel and has had just six previous owners from new which is charted in the history file. When reviewing the history file it is apparent that a considerable amount of money has been spent ensuring the car always remained in very good condition, the file includes a photographic record/history of the works undertaken, including invoices. The engine was rebuilt in 1970, 1991 and more recently in 2010 in conjunction with a complete gearbox rebuild. When the engine was rebuilt its power output was uprated with DWR camshaft and triple SU carburettors. The cylinder head was converted to run on unleaded fuel and some other upgrades were carried out including an electric cooling fan, alternator and stainless steel exhaust, thus resulting in a superb engine that exhibits good oil pressure and coolant temperature. The chassis and body were treated to a professional rebuild by a Healey specialist in the late 1990s. The bodywork and chrome are in good condition and the wire wheels are original as is the factoryhard top. This is a wonderful example of this iconic British sportscar which is both practical and fun to drive and is also presented with a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate.]]

![CDATA[The 'Big' Healey enjoyed steady development, with the early four-cylinder cars giving way to the 100 Six in 1956, which in turn was replaced by the first of the 3000s in 1959. The new car featured an enlarged 2912cc version of Austin's six cylinder engine with twin SU carburettors and Girling front disc brakes, offering excellent performance resulting in the model becoming a great success. The 3000 was only referred to as the Mk. I once the Mk. II model was introduced in 1961. Other changes were minor compared to those between the original 100 and the 100-6. The wheelbase and body were unchanged as were the body-styles, a 2+2 or BT7 and a two seater BN7. Bought new by a newly qualified dental surgeon in Northern Canada as a reward for qualifying, he kept the car for almost 40 years before selling it in 1999 to its second owner, a British expat, who in 2002 started a full ground up restoration. Due to an illness the restoration was delayed several times but finally completed in 2009. Thework included a full bare metal rotisserie restoration with no area being neglected. The chassis was checked for correctness, sandblasted and restored to as new condition in the body colour. The engine was fully stripped and rebuilt, as was the gearbox. A new wiring loom was fitted and the interior also received a total retrim, including a ribbed tonneau cover and the car was fully resprayed. This lefthand drive car was repatriated to the UK in 2017 by its third and current owner and presents stunningly in red with red and black interior. The car starts on the button and drives superbly with no rattles or squeaks, testament to the quality of the restoration. A matching numbers example, this lovely car comes supplied with V5C registration document, a current MoT test certificate valid until May 2019 and a comprehensive history file including receipts from the rebuild, Heritage Certificate and photographic record of the restoration.]]
