Introduced in 1971, the 2000 GTV was the final version of the classic 105 Series Alfa Romeo, which are so pretty and highly sought after. There were no major styling changes made by Bertone, merely a new grille, the body remaining the same as the preceding 1600 and 1750 models. Representing the final enlargement of Alfa's legendary twin-cam four, the 1962cc engine produced 132bhp, which was mated to a five-speed gearbox and limited-slip differential improving road handling. Torquier than its 1750 predecessor, the 2000 GTV was good for a top speed of 120mph. This particular example was built in 1975 but not sold until 1977 via Maasland Alfa Romeo in the Netherlands. It is presented in Periwinkle Blue with a bespoke/custom made red leather interior, tinted windows and it also comes with Campagnolo Turbina alloy wheels. After the car had been in storage it was recommissioned by the 105 Workshop in the Netherlands, who are a well known Dutch Alfa Romeo specialist. This car is lefthand drive and has afully electric sunroof, it is supplied with history file containing many old invoices for work carried out. These are rare sports cars from the Italian marque and in this condition, it will grace any show but most of all be great fun on the road.

During 1970, the Giulia 105 series Spider was updated in numerous areas. Most significantly, was the revision at the rear of the car. Gone was its roundtail look and in its place was the, aerodynamically more efficient, Wunibald Kamm- design. Other changes were not so easily spotted. The windscreen was more inclined leading to additional modifications. Adorning the front was a new heart shaped grille and revised bumpers. Several other detail changes were made before production changed to the Series III model in 1982. This example offered today was originally supplied to the US and was subsequently shipped to Auckland, New Zealand in the late 1990s. Whilst there, it was professionally converted to righthand drive and the fuel injection replaced with twin Weber carburettors. During 2008, a bare metal repaint was completed, the coachwork, we are informed, was found to be in exceptional condition and still retains all of its original panels today. Presented in Pininfarina Bianco with contrasting blacktrim, this Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider Veloce looks very handsome and sits upon a set of Campagnolo alloy wheels shod with excellent tyres. Mechanically, this Spider has benefitted from a recent engine rebuild by the well-respected Alfa Romeo specialist, Autolusso. The interior is all in good order whilst the hood is excellent. A bespoke tonneau cover has been made and designed to fit well, the intention was to eliminate buffering at speed; we are informed that this has been a successful modification. This Spider has been in its current ownership for the past 16 years and will arrive at the sale with a history file, UK V5 registration document and a fresh MoT test certificate. Looking handsome and with a freshly rebuilt engine, this handsome Alfa Romeo is ready to be used and enjoyed immediately.
