1998 Jaguar XK8 Convertible Automatic. British Racing Green with Ivory Leather. Full Service History with 13 stamps in the book. Living up to expectations can be a burden. Consider the handsome Geoff Lawson-penned XK8 that followed in the wheeltracks of such automotive icons as the XK120 and immortal E-type. Like the E-Type before it, the XK8 made its debut at the Geneva Salon - that of 1996 - and, from launch, was available in either Coupe or Convertible guise. Like its immediate predecessor, the XJS, the original XK8 was more of a Grand Tourer than an outright sports car. It also had the distinction of being the first Jaguar to be powered by an eight-cylinder engine. This then, was a cat with strong DNA but also its own distinctive endearing personality. At the time of the newcomer's unveiling, Jaguar Cars was owned by Ford, as was Aston Martin, and it made sound economic sense for the XK8 and similarly targeted DB7 to share the same platform; which itself was derived from that of the outgoingXJS. The biggest of many differences between new and old, was the adoption of Jaguar's second generation independent rear suspension system, previously found on the XJ40 Saloon. Prior to 2003, power came from either a normally aspirated (XK8) or supercharged (XKR) 4.0-litre version of the company's DOHC V8 AJ26 engine. From 2003 to the end of production in 2006, the 4.2-litre AJ34 unit was employed. In each case, the engine was allied to either a five or six-speed (from 1997 onwards) automatic transmission. This car drives very well and XK8's are gaining interest from the classic car world now. The history file contains the original book pack including service book and invoices on file for the £000s spent on the upkeep of the car. This Jaguar offers luxury topless motoring for MG Midget money. Everything operates as it should including the fully automatic hood. Absolutely any inspection is welcome. All major debit cards accepted. Delivery can be arranged.

1968 Hillman Imp Californian. Bright red with black upholstery. A very rare sight on U.K roads now. The coupe bodyshell is similar to the standard body but features a more shallow-raked windscreen and rear window which, unlike that on the standard bodied cars, can not be opened. The attempt at a more sporty design did not translate into better acceleration or top speed figures and the aerodynamics of the standard saloon are actually slightly better. The new body style made its first appearance at the Paris Motor Show in October 1967, with the introduction of the sporting Sunbeam Stiletto. The coupe body had also appeared, with less powerful engines, in the Hillman Imp Californian announced in January 1967 and the more luxurious Singer Chamois coupe. Rare indeed and in superb condition following a bare shell rebuild and professional repaint. Engine reconditioned and many new ancillaries to include carburettor dynamo etc. The interior was re-trimmed, new tyres fitted and we will apply a fresh MOT onthe car. The car drives without fault and performed well on test drive. Absolutely any inspection is welcome and viewing is highly recommended. All major debit cards accepted. 1970 Mercedes Benz W108 280S Automatic Saloon. Blue with blue upholstery. Left Hand Drive. Lots of work has recently been carried out and the car is now MOT'd and U.K registered. Running and driving well with excellent panels and a very strong chassis without any sign of corrosion. The first 'S-class' Mercedes arrived in 1968 in the form of the 280S and 280SE which were large comfortable sports saloons offering powerful touring capabilities and luxurious interiors with space to seat five occupants. Known as W108/109 models, they were constructed on a 108 inch wheelbase and the new S-Class saloons were much heavier than earlier models. The styling was updated using a thoroughly modern design featuring the attractive stacked layout of the headlights which was popular during the period. Although the 280 was usually powered by a 2.8 litre, straight six engine, Mercedes-Benz added a V8 engined 280SE to the model range. The 280SE, 3.5 had a 3.5 litre V8 engine and came with both automatic and manualtransmission and power steering. These saloons were well equipped and extremely powerful. The 280SE 3.5 would reach a top-speed of 125mph and offered effortless high-speed cruising mated with supple ride comfort. Between 1971 and 1972, Mercedes-Benz produced 11,309 examples and they have always been popular with collectors and enthusiasts alike. Absolutely any inspection is welcome and viewing is highly recommended. All major debit cards accepted. Delivery and shipping can be arranged.

.1969 MG Midget MK III 1275cc. Tartan red with black upholstery and a black hood and red factory style hard top. Essentially a slightly more expensive badge-engineered version of the Austin-Healey Sprite MkII, the MG Midget was launched in 1961, initially with a 948cc twin carb A-Series engine producing 46bhp. In 1962 the engine was uprated to a 1,098cc unit now with 56bhp and brake discs replaced the drums at the front. With the launch of the MkIII version in 1966, the engine was enlarged yet again to 1,275cc and now produced 67bhp. The rear axle ratio was also increased for more relaxed cruising along with a host of minor revisions to the interior and exterior, including more rounded rear wheel arches from 1972. Eminently tuneable, the MkIII is now particularly popular in the many race series that are organised for MG Midgets to compete in. On the road it is an exhilarating car to drive as you always feel like you are going twice as fast as you really are! Dating from March 1969, this Tartan Red MkIII is one of those modified cars with numerous sporting touches including a tuned engine with larger twin SU carbs (hence the bulge in the bonnet), full-flow exhaust manifold, front and rear bumpers removed, rounded rear arches, sports steering wheel and works-type hard top. It rides on a set of sporty wire wheels with good tyres (including the spare). Recently fitted with new carpets, it also comes with a soft top and a tonneau cover. It has been in the current ownership since 2007 but has been more polished than driven in recent times, 10 old MOTs showing that it has only covered around 1,200 miles in the last 10 years. Starting promptly and running nicely as we drove it to take the pictures, it has a pleasingly fruity exhaust note and is in very good order throughout. We have a nice history folder with the car containing some bills and invoices, old mot's and owners handbooks. Absolutely any inspection is welcome. All major debit cards accepted. Delivery can be arranged.
