The Aston Martin DB9 was first shown at the 2003 Frankfurt Motor Show as the replacement for the outgoing DB7. Designed by Henrik Fisker, the DB9 was the first car to be built at Aston Martins purpose built Gaydon facility. The DB9 is built around an aluminium riveted and bonded VH (vertical-horizontal) tub then bodied with aluminium to keep weight to a minimum. This front/mid engined 2+2 GT is fitted with the all new 6.0 V12 producing an impressive 450bhp. This engine coupled with a six speed Touchtronic 2 automatic gearbox made for effortless cruising without compromising its blistering performance, boasting a 0-60 mph of just 4.7 secs and onto a top speed of 186mph. As with all hand built Aston Martins only the finest materials were used. Trimmed in Bridge-of-Weir hide and using the best veneers available. The Aston Martin DB9 Touchtronic Coupe offered here at Autostorico is a 2007 56 plate finished in Tungsten Silver with perforated Obsidian Black leather interior. Having covered a mere 12,758 miles this stunning example boasts a full main dealer service history with 13 stamps recorded in its original owners handbook. The last of which was carried out by Aston Martin Bristol at 12,030 miles. ![CDATA[The average height of men in the UK is 5ft, 3 with an interesting 28% of the adult male population over six foot therefor, however, the 2+2 configured E-Type has a distinct advantage over other coupés in the Jaguar range. With a decent sized roofline and an additional 9 in the wheelbase, this more family suited model offers a more comfortable place to sit. Offered in opalescent silver/grey, this example has been the subject of a rotisserie restoration some time ago with new sills, floors and inner arches as well as a fully blasted and restored rear subframe. It represents an original lefthand drive US model car with a manual gearbox as per the enclosed heritage records. With matching numbers, it additionally benefits from a full mechanical, electrical and interior restoration. The engine was disassembled with new crankshaft and cam bearings fitted, the cylinder head was professionally shimmed with new timing chains, tensioners, pistons and rings. A new sports intake manifold wasalsoinstalled with new triple S.U. carburettors leading to a new front-to-back, stainless steel oversized exhaust system. The clutch was also uprated with a new slave cylinder, fluid pots and pipework. Cooling was assisted by an upgraded and re-cored radiator, new heat shields, leads, hoses, thermostat and distributer. The car has also been fully polybushed all round with new anti-drop links, new brake discs, restored callipers and new brake lines and hoses all round. The wheel bearings themselves are new with new springs and dampers, new track rod ends with blasted and restored upper and lower wishbones. The interior benefits from a similarly high level of attention with a new dash-top, new carpets and headlining (cockpit & boot), the front and rear seats sympathetically replaced and/or re-trimmed to preserve originality in areas. The drivers seat and original steering wheel has been professionally restored whilst looking through a new windscreen with a fully working radio and all gauges infullworking order, all delicately cleaned/restored to preserve originality. The wire wheels have been restored and balanced with new tyres and new front bumpers. The driving experience is reported to be exceptionally good and the attention to detail, mechanically, would leave no doubt in any prospective buyers mind. There is also no argument however, that this extremely well put together example does require re-painting should you wish a more complete example. The reserve, sensibly, has been set to reflect this. ]]

![CDATA[In 1968, BMW introduced a new two-door coupé that was designed and built by Karman. This new model was named internally as the E9 and the first version produced was named the 2800 CS, it featured an increased wheelbase to accommodate a new straight-six engine. The front of the car was restyled to resemble the E3 saloon model otherwise known as the Shark Nose. Production of the E9 would run until 1975. During this time the 2800 CS was replaced by the 3.0 CS and 3.0 CSi in 1971. Performance of the 3.0 CSi compared well with its contemporaries, such as the E-Type Jaguar and the Ford Capri 3.0 but at over £5,500 it was a third more expensive than the Jaguar. Partly due to this formidable price, only 207 of this model were registered in the UK between November 1973 and November 1975. It was arguably the most advanced car for its time with standard Bosch K Tronic injection supplying fuel to the six cylinder overhead cam engine, power steering, disc brakes all round and electronic windows frontand rear. This stunning example of BMWs Pillarless Coupé was registered on 7th May 1975 and is thought to be one of the first in the UK market. The vendor purchased the car in 2014 and almost immediately set about a considerable restoration project. The works started with an engine rebuild at Cotswold Cars. The car was then handed to restoration specialist, Justin Simmons at Pinkneys Green,Maidenhead for a comprehensive four year restoration, costing over £100,000. The file for KKJ 952N contains all invoices for the impressive amount of work undertaken. All the parts and panels used were either purchased from E9 specialists, Jaymic Ltd in the UK or Walloth and Nesch in Germany for original BMW classic parts. The file also contains a full photographic history of the works completed, from the bare metal respray to the fine example we see today. This fantastic example benefits from the addition of a stainless steel exhaust, a City Pack original spoiler a Momo black leather steering wheel and hasrecently been fitted with new tyres throughout. Presented to auction with a V5C registration document and, although exempt, a new MoT test certificate. This wonderful example is reserved at a fraction of the current investment level of the vendor.]]

1958 Austin Healey 100/6; Built on 10th January 1958, for the RHD home market this Austin Healey 100/6 left the factory exactly as you see it today, Colorado red over black with red interior. High spec from new, fitted with wire wheels and overdrive this Healey has been maintained to an excellent standard by long term owners. The car presents very well with a nice patinated interior which remains comfy and full of character whilst the exterior is in great order and stands up to close inspection. A full history file including receipts for work and documentation stretches back into the early 1960's. The history includes copies of the original buff log book, 21 older style and 14 new MOT's back until 1969, engine rebuild and bodywork as well as a photographic record of the work carried out. You can usually tell how good a car is by it's ownership record and the previous two owners can account for 37 years of this Austin Healey's life. The Healey drives well and everything works just as you wouldexpect. The engine feels as if it is uprated to 3000 but I cannot confirm this and the 100/6's 4-wheel drum brakes stops the car in ample time. If you're looking for an unmolested original UK RHD Healey with a great history which is both mechanically and cosmetically very good this 1958 British sports car must reach the shortlist and is ready to drive away today. Very sensibly priced for one in this exceptional condition at 49,950
