The saying goes that the Germans do not have a sense of humour and sometimes their cars are engineered so well that they can be ultra efficient but all the fun is dialed out. By the late Eighties this could also be true of some BMWs and the board obviously thought the same and gave the go ahead for a funky prototype to go into production. I remember selling the first Z1 in 1989 and there was nothing quite like it with the spectacular disappearing doors and high tech composite body even the rear exhaust silencer was aerodynamic. Other drivers couldnt believe their eyes when you opened the doors and it is still great today to drive with them down giving you a great sensation of speed. With only 8000 produced in 3 years they are very rare now and being based on the robust 325 sport running gear they are bullet proof. This Ancient green example is one of the best available with a fully comprehensive history file which includes service books, mots, invoices and the all important Z1 handbook. With only 170bhp performance is good but not stunning by todays standards so the best idea is to lower the doors and enjoy the thrill of proper open top and bottom motoring. Supplied fully inspected, serviced with a comprehensive 12 month warranty.

* Rare and Unique factory black CSi Long-term dry-stored From a private collection Odometer Reading:104727 MOT Expiry: Expired Regarded by many as one of the most accomplished BMW designs, the E9's popularity has never gone away. This is the sole CSi painted black and comes complete with 21 previous MoT certificates, some bills and letters from previous owners. The vendor reports a small service has been carried out and a brake servo replaced. The bodywork is reasonable, as is the paint: Seating is good, bar a small area of the driver's seat which requires a quick and easy repair while the dashboard wood and the centre console are good. A letter from a previous owner says he bought the car in April 2000 and it was serviced and repaired at his garage on the Isle of Wight. Dry-stored since 2009 (since when it has covered no mileage) here is a candidate for rewarding improvement.

The Elan was years ahead of the opposition and another masterpiece design by Colin Chapman ,even today it is hard to find a better driving lightweight sports car. This is a genuine home-market SE Convertible model that was first registered in 1969 finished from new in Yellow over white With ongoing maintenance over the years she was extensively restored around 2004 by a marque specialist including new Lotus factory galvanised chassis, engine, gearbox rebuild ,unleaded conversion, Suspension, brakes, body strip and very high quality repaint. She was owned by the last owner for 40 years so is only 3 owners and is a genuine convertible with Certification from the Lotus factory and even the original green log book All the work is documented and there is a very thorough history file mostly populated with invoices from the UKs respected Lotus specialists, mot certificates, and thousands have been spent ensuring she is one of the best looking and driving Elans available. There are many invoices from the 1970s onwards and she was even featured in Classic and Sportcar magazine a few years ago. Many motoring enthusiasts claim that the Sprint is their favourite driving machine and any serious driver will agree once you sample the fluidity of the chassis the lightness of the controls and the evocative sound of the race-bred twin cam. These are very special machines and have never been replicated with any modern design proving that Colin Chapman was a design genius way ahead of his time. Supplied fully inspected, serviced with 12 months warranty.

We are delighted to offer this stunning Range Rover Vogue SE Soft Dash which has covered just over 66k miles from new, supported by a full-service history and all the old MOT certificates. We have supplied this car previously and know it well. Range Rover Classics which are not suffering from serious corrosion are becoming harder and harder to find. Even cars which look in good condition often have corrosion in the inner/outer calls, the front inner wings, the boot floor, the rear cross member, body mounting points and the rear arches. This Range Rover has been the subject of a full body restoration (with photos) and now has zero corrosion! We started by completely dismantling the car, removing all the doors, wings, bonnets and tailgates searching for corrosion then: We then painted the car. By painting a fully de-assembled car, we can reproduce a factory finish leaving a consistent paint finish overall of the car without any dry areas on the rear wheel aches, the under-bonnet areas of the wings, the decker panel or around any trims, handles etc. Once all the repairs and paintwork were completed we cleaned and waxolyed all the underside, injected every panel and the internals all the chassis sections and sills which are susceptible to corrosion with cavity wax so she will last for many years to come - I stress there is now absolutely no corrosion on this car. The wheels were fully refurbished, the wheel bolts changed and a matching set of General Grabber tyres fitted. Even though mechanically she was in first class condition and without fault after our 160 point check, we still performed a Major Service on her, changing all fluids (refilling the engine with 10w40 semi synth), replaced all filters (Inc. the decker panel filter), all 8 spark plugs, the distributor, all ignition leads, the aux drive belt, flushed and refilled the cooling system with the correct OE anti-freeze, replaced the front hub seals, all wheel bearings, the front driveshaft flange gaskets, replaced the front driving lamps and headlamps and finally cleaned and re-gassed the air conditioning system which now blows ice cold. Many Range Rovers from this period have been converted to coils (with varying degrees of success!) as it is thought that the air system is unreliable - this is partially true as the airbags and systems are now 20 years old and the rubber airbags crack but when new the air suspension is sublimely comfortable and operates beautifully so we have gone to the expense of fitting a complete brand new suspension system including four new original equipment Dunlop airbags and a brand new air compressor, new shocks and new bump stops all round so she will provide reliable and supremely comfortable service for the foreseeable future. She drives beautifully tight and everything works exactly as you would expect (or hope!). Internally she is immaculate with no marks to the seats, door panels, dash and even the roof lining is in perfect condition - all the electrics work 100% correctly. Late Hard Dash Range Rovers are becoming collectable in the same way as their 2 door counterparts are and their prices for low mileage, historied cars is increasing. Inspections are actively encouraged and viewing would be my pleasure but please only by appointment near Witney in Oxfordshire. What we are offering is an immaculate car which is in a similar condition to a one or two-year-old vehicle and will, if looked after only appreciate in value.

* Big block V8 Manual gearbox Running and driving Ticking all the right boxes for Corvette enthusiasts, MPH is delighted to offer this 1965 convertible that features both big-block 427 V8 and a manual gearbox. The stealth black paintwork is good from a distance but on closer inspection has some minor imperfections in places while the chrome shows some pitting. The all-black interior has lasted well: seat facings are clean and have no wear while the dashboard has no cracks and the door cards are straight. The underbonnet area is tidy but could be improved with some detailing.

* Imported in 2001 Tommy Kaira Edition R32 Good history MOT expiry: 06/08/2020 Mileage: 54, 995 Tuned to 350bhp, this 1993 Tommy Kaira-tuned R32 Skyline came to the UK in 2001, since when it has been well looked after and retains its original silver paint and black cloth interior. It retains the Kaira elements such as the 18-inch, three-piece split-rim alloy wheels and upgraded coil-over suspension to retain its poise. Notably this car still has the original six-piece bodykit, most Kaira R32s losing them over time. Coming with original Japanese documents, import papers and a good history file, this unusual R32 version offers a heady mix of performance AND usability.

The company's dictum of "make everything as beautifully as possible and charge accordingly" was maintained in the new 20/25 model which carried over its predecessor's conventional chassis layout. The engine was bored out to 3,669cc, the straight six being remarkably smooth and quiet as was to be expected of a Rolls-Royce. The performance was markedly improved over the 20hp model, the basic engine and gearbox configuration forming the basis for the superb 'Derby' Bentley which the firm unveiled in 1933. Produced alongside the Phantom II and built to the same exacting standards, the 20/25 benefited from many of the larger model's developments (such as synchromesh on 3rd and 4th from 1933, mechanically servo-assisted brakes, centralised chassis lubrication and thermostatically controlled radiator shutters), becoming the best-selling Rolls-Royce of the inter-war period with some 3,827 leaving Crewe before the more powerful 25/30 came along. This 20/25 was bodied by Park Ward with their formal six-lightlimousine coachwork. The factory records indicate that it was delivered new in 1935 to Lord Whitburgh. Born Thomas Borthwick, Whitburgh's father had been given the hereditary title for services to the Liberal Party north of the border, but the family's wealth had been created from the import of frozen meat from Australia, New Zealand and South Africa in their own refrigerated ships. The transport of frozen carcasses was far more efficient than trying to keep animals fit and healthy on the sea voyage and they made millions of pounds from the meat trade, their company having offices in Smithfield Market, London. This Park Ward Limousine was delivered directly from the coachbuilders to the Connaught Hotel, the vehicle migrating at some point later in its life to the Southampton area. Since acquisition, he has enjoyed spending time sorting out many finer details, improving the paintwork, interior trim, woodwork and underbonnet detailing. This very nicely turned-out example has been regularly exercisedand has proven extremely reliable.
