We are delighted to offer this Home Market RHD Triumph TR5 PI onto the market. XLM 565G left the factory finished in Valencia Blue with Tan trim and Black hood, built on the 14th August 1968 and despatched on the 29th of the same month. The TR5 was supplied new with heater and overdrive, and was issued with the Greater London registration mark XLM 565G. Wimbledon based dealer L.F Dove Limited sold the car new on the 4th September 1968 to a Mr G Gurney of Surrey and we have the original service book containing the cars first two services, both by the supplying dealer at 1102 and 12421 miles. XLM 565G also still retains its original 'buff' logbook confirming the car spent three years with its first owner in Surrey. It would seem plausible the TR5 was taken back into stock by the supplying dealer as the second owner was local to L.F Dove Ltd on West Side Common in Wimbledon. In late 1972 its Wimbledon based owner moved to Newcastle Upon Tyne, taking the TR5 up to the North East where it has spent mostof its life. Throughout the 1970's, large Scotland and North East dealership Rossleigh maintained the TR5 and a comprehensive file of receipts and invoices are still with the car. In 2003 the TR5 PI was sold in need of major restoration having being off the road for many years. From 2003 to 2011, XLM 565G was completely rebuilt from the ground up to a truly exceptional standard. A photographic record confirms the TR5 was subject of a bare chassis rebuild and with the assistance of highly regarded specialists, the car was taken to show standard condition. The chassis was blasted and completely rebuilt, the bodyshell fully restored and the bare shell painted inside, outside and underneath, and the car then built up with perfect panel gaps. The TR was re-trimmed to a very high standard, all brightwork replaced or re-chromed, the boot area completed to show condition and the dashboard and dials completely re-furbished. The Triumph was fully rebuilt mechanically with no expense spared. The engine was ina very poor state and was deemed unrepairable. A replacement 2.5 PI engine was sourced and fully rebuilt with new pistons, oil pump, timing chain, tensioner chain, new rocker shaft, oil seals, new valves etc all supplied by TR Shop London. The block was re-bored, the crankshaft polished and on build up new manifolds, injectors and Bosch fuel pump fitted to the car. Steering, brakes and suspension were rebuilt, gearbox and rear axle overhauled, coolant system renewed and all electrics replaced and renewed. Like the rest of the car, the engine bay was taken to show condition and since completion in 2011 the TR5 has covered 3000 faultless miles. Eight years on since restoration, the TR5 still presents like a recently completed rebuild. There is no doubt this TR5 is in show condition, paintwork and bodywork are completely first class, panels are perfectly straight with excellent gaps and the underside is equally as impressive. The level of detail is superb with a beautiful engine bay, perfect sparewheel well and the interior has been trimmed to a superb high standard. The hood and cover are perfect, the correct style wheels are excellent and the car requires no cosmetic attention. On the road XLM 565G offers a brilliant driving experience. Its tight, holds the road perfectly and the engine is super fit holding excellent oil pressure and delivering impressive performance. The gearbox is super slick with perfect smooth changes, the overdrive comes in smoothly, the rear axle is lovely and quiet and the car feels absolutely right. This is a car with superb history dating back to new, has been kept as original and correct as possible, has been rebuilt to a first class standard and maintained and superbly kept since. With only 3000 miles since completion, this is effectively a fresh rebuild that has been nicely run in since and has to be one of the finest available in terms of condition and provenance. OJF 789F was supplied new to Charles Follet Limited, Berkeley Street, London, finished in White with Black trim and power assisted steering on the 25th June 1968. A copy of the original invoice, Jensen Motors Ltd guarantee claim form and early maintenance records with Jensen Motors are with the car. We are pleased to report this lovely early Interceptor is still in its original colours and specification, and appears to be correct, unmolested and remarkably original with a mileage of 96,750 that is highly likely to be genuine. History and paperwork with the car tells us the mileage was 82,019 in 1986 and a further 14,000 miles were covered over the next ten years. In 1996 OJF 789F was placed in a central heated garage where it spent 18 years off the road. Having been dry stored for so many years, the car was treated to a brake overhaul and some light re-commissioning and MOT tested in November 2014 at 96,304 miles. 200 miles were covered over the next year, the Jensen MOT tested again in early 2016with 96593 miles. Since then, the MKI Interceptor has been owned by a Harrogate based collector who has dry stored the car. The car has arrived with us presenting as a very honest, original looking car requiring some light re-commissioning having once again spent some time in storage. OJF 789F looks very smart with attractive, high quality older paintwork and smart chrome, has a beautifully aged original trim with superb Black leather seats, good quality door cards and walnut dash. The V8 engine is strong and in very good order, as is the gearbox. We are happy to sell the Jensen in its current condition at the listed price, or alternatively MOT test, service and carry out any required re-commissioning work for an agreed fixed cost. OJF 789F is a beautiful looking, impressive car, and finding honest, largely original early examples can prove very difficult. This is a car that should be enjoyed on the open road, it would be fabulous for long distance touring so we hope its next owner begins to coversome serious miles after just 400 miles in the past 23 years. This is an opportunity to own and enjoy a true collector's piece being one of reportedly just three Jaguar E-Type's known to have survived in the special-order colour of 'Porsche Tangerine'. WLO 257G is a UK RHD matching numbers car that was manufactured on the 30th October 1968 and was distributed by Henlys, London in its Special-order exterior paint, Black leather upholstery and with manual transmission. The previous owner learned through the Jaguar Enthusiast Club that two of Henleys Directors had ordered an E-Type each in this colour and Jaguar told them that they could only do this 'special order' if they ordered a minimum of six matching cars. It was extremely rare for Jaguar to stray from their own colour schemes on offer, but Henleys would have undoubtedly had elevated influence given they were England's leading motor agents at the time. From the comprehensive history with the car we know it was sold to a lady with 600 miles recorded in 1970 at just two years old. The E-Type was later ownedby the UK Director for Seaforth Export Ltd who had offices in London, Tel Aviv, New York, Dusseldorf and Stockholm. The UK Director and owner of the car, Mr Campbell kept the car until 1978 with a mileage warranted at 34,400 and by now the car had been colour changed to Red. The car was then sold by the London based E-Type Centre to a private owner in Poole, Dorset who kept the car for 19 years, selling it in 1997 with a mileage of 55965. Invoices for maintenance and servicing are with the car right throughout the 1980's and 1990's. From 1997/1998 the E-Type was in South Wales and this is where the car has spent the majority of the past twenty years plus. WLO 257G had two owners in South Wales before arriving with us in 2016 with 78,000 warranted miles covered from new. MOT records date back to 1978 but we can see from this documentation the E-Type covered 22,000 miles during its time in South Wales. By 2016, the E-Type arrived with us in North Yorkshire looking externally rather tatty butremarkably original inside. At this point we commissioned a programme of refurbishment work at our Malton Coachworks restoration facility. The E-Type was completely stripped down to the a rolling shell and the body was then fully prepared with interior and gearbox/engine removed for a complete inside and out re-paint in the cars correct original colour of Porsche Tangerine. The body was restored as required and then professionally prepared for an outstanding full re-paint. The underside was also fully re-painted and the glass like finish is equally as impressive underneath the car. WLO 257G was built up with new lights, rubbers, seals, trims, wing beading, clips, joints, screws, hinge bushes, springs and renewed chrome work. The 78,000 mile from new engine was checked over, found in strong condition and then treated to extensive detailing prior to re-fitting to the car. The gearbox was fully overhauled prior to re-fit and the differential unit also fully rebuilt. The E-Type was then treated topowder coated suspension arms, air intake and air filter housing. During built up, the E-Type was treated to new suspension bushes, ball joints, ball joint boots, new wheel bearings, front and rear shock absorbers, new brake calipers, new brake discs and pads, new brake master cylinder, all new brake flexi hoses, new alternator and belts, new coolant hoses, re-conditioned radiator, new manifold to head gasket, new inlet to head gasket, new manifolds, new stainless steel exhaust system, new clutch and slave cylinder, new engine and gearbox mountings, all new ignition items and various electrical work. The E-Type was then treated to a new set of chrome wire wheels and new tyres, re-conditioned hood frame, brand new Black mohair hood, re-trimmed door cards, centre console, leather seats and brand new carpet set and boot kit. On completion we sold the E-Type to a long-term customer, JEC member and friend of ours back in South Wales. Since then, WLO 257G has covered in the region of 1000 miles and hasbeen beautifully detailed and taken to many shows and events. The E-Type has attended South Wales JEC events and enjoyed fine weather use only. The car returns to us in truly outstanding condition with a first class bodyshell demonstrating excellent straight panels and gaps, a truly outstanding gleaming paint finish, a first class show standard underside, engine bay and boot compartment, an excellent well-presented upholstery and stunning gleaming brightwork. The car is quite simply outstanding and on the road this E-Type is equally as impressive. The lovely original six cylinder engine pulls strongly holding very good oil pressure, it feels, performs and sounds superb and the rebuilt all syncro gearbox offers smooth, perfect changes, the differential is lovely and quiet, handling and braking are first class having been re-conditioned and rebuilt and everything functions as it should. WLO 257G has been rebuilt to an exceptional standard and with its impressive provenance, almost unique factorycolour, it is a true genuine collectors piece that will prove very difficult to repeat. This is a superb driving, ultra-usable and very genuine UK supplied, matching numbers Jaguar E-Type Roadster that's still in its original factory colours of Willow Green with Black leather upholstery. OOV 996G was manufactured on the 28th October 1968 and supplied new by Birmingham dealer P J Evans and comes with an impressive history dating back to the mid 1970's. The Jaguar was in the hands of a Sutton Coldfield based antiques dealer during the early 1970's and in 1975 sold to a Staffordshire based owner who kept the E-Type for 19 years. In 1994, the E-Type was sold by the E-Type Centre to a Jaguar enthusiast in Wakefield and after 22 years of ownership the car was sold to the most recent owner, a retired motor engineer who lived just a few streets away. This very genuine original car has had just three owners in 44 years and has been driven over to us faultlessly from West Yorkshire. When the E-Type was purchased by its Staffordshire based owner in 1975, the E-Type had covered 63,000 miles injust seven years. In 1979 the car was subject of substantial restoration work to include a new bonnet, new underbody floor pans, new sills, a complete re-paint in the cars original colour (invoice from 1979 on file), re-trim as per original, renewed chrome work and during the early 1980's was treated to an engine rebuild with the mileage at 80,000 by this point. A large file of Martin Robey invoices are on file throughout the 1980's and the engine rebuild was completed by Autosprint Racing Engines in Birmingham. The engine was treated to new pistons, main and big end bearings, re-ground crankshaft, performance camshaft, cam bearings, cam followers, new valve guides, lightened flywheel, new oil pump and timing chain. Remarkably, whilst maintaining regular but very low usage, the E-Type has only covered 8000 miles since its mid 1980's engine rebuild, all verified in the vehicle history file. From 1994 to 2016 with its next owner, the E-Type covered 5000 miles with MOT's and tax discs on file showingthe car was in annual use. Over this period the car was subject of regular expenditure with invoices on file for upkeep and maintenance. In 1994 the E-Type was treated to further bodywork, wheel arches were taken back to bare metal and treated to repairs and paintwork as necessary. Invoices throughout the 1990's detail various mechanical work to the braking, suspension, steering, electric and fuel system and in 2008 The Hutson Motor Company rebuilt the carburettors, fitted new steering rack mountings, fitted a new fuel pump and replaced the bonnet struts. In 2015 shortly before selling the car after 22 years of ownership, over 2000 was spent on new engine mountings, new fulcrum shaft bearings, new rear hub inner seals, various new ignition items, new filters, new choke and speedo cables. In 2016 the most recent owner purchased the E-Type and has covered around 1000 faultless miles in the car. As a retired motor engineer with ramp facilities at home, the car was treated to a thorough going over toinclude removal of the rear subframe cage which was subsequently rebuilt with new brakes and suspension springs. OOV 996G has driven over 60 miles to us and performed faultlessly. The engine is incredibly strong and fit, it holds excellent oil pressure, is very impressive under load offering brilliant performance and cooling remains correct. The E-Type sat for sometime in York traffic on route to us and remained at correct temperature. The E-Type holds the road superbly, braking is sharp and efficient, and the car offers a fabulous driving experience. OOV 996G presents very well and as an honest original car. Paintwork is now over 30 years old and has a lovely deep shine and patina. The bodywork is of a very good standard and the various blemishes and imperfections really highlight what an honest, older restoration this really is. The bonnet is structurally outstanding and the 1994 waxoyl is still in place, still doing its job. This is a really solid, straight and usable car and is a great basisfor improvement but also ideal for putting into immediate regular use or long distance touring. The hood is excellent, the chrome work and chrome wire wheels are superb and the interior having been last trimmed in the 1970's looks nicely aged, honest and naturally has a true patina. All the gauges work, the car appears very correct and it most certainly will not disappoint if looking for a usable, genuine UK E-Type. This really is a great buy; its in a superb rare period colour, it drives beautifully, it comes with excellent provenance, history, matching numbers and is offered onto the market a very sensible price. Price: 89,995
