Vintage and Prestige are proud to offer this LHD 1958 Austin Healey 100/6 For Sale. The BN6 was the final development of the Healey 100/6 two-seater roadster before being replaced by the Healey 3000 (BT7) in 1959. Chassis no BN6-L/3516 was built at MG's Abingdon works between the 30th September and 2nd October 1958 and shipped to a dealer in San Francisco on the 13th of October. After 32 years of enjoying life in the States and with 54,000 miles on the odometer, this 'Big Healey' crossed the Atlantic once again and joined the collection of a Channel Islands resident who is a long-term Healey enthusiast. He decided to carry out a 'nut and bolt' restoration with great attention to detail hoping to achieve a Concours winning standard. The six-port, cylinder head has been reconditioned and converted to unleaded compatibility with new valves, valve seats, seals etc. The block was cleaned inside and out, re-bored to +0.020 and fitted with new pistons and rings and top end bearings. The crank shaft was within 0.0005 of original so polished only and refitted with new bearings, thrust washers, big end bolts and main bearing nuts. The timing chain and tensioner have been replaced and the water pump reconditioned. All oil and waterways in the block and cylinder head were cleaned and the core plugs renewed. The rear axle and differential were dismantled, cleaned and assembled using new parts where required, and the clutch and gearbox were fully reconditioned using new parts. The steering and braking systems have been completely overhauled and new tyres fitted. All electrical components have either been overhauled or replaced with new items including a complete new braided wiring harness. A new aluminium fuel tank has been fitted along with new fuel lines and fuel pump and the carburettors have been fully reconditioned and set up appropriately. A complete, stainless steel, exhaust system and brackets were fitted. Whenever possible, the original exterior trim has been re-chromed to a very high standard with new brightwork added only when necessary. The hood and tonneau cover are new, the side screens have been reconditioned, and the windscreen glass is new. The interior was completely retrimmed to an extremely high standard and features Navy Blue leather upholstery with white piping and well-fitted carpets in Navy Blue Finally, after weeks of preparation, the Healey was carefully repainted in period Ice Blue over Old English White and the tight shut lines and depth of finish will reward any inspection. This Austin Healey is as immaculate underneath as it is on top. Since this extensive restoration to Concours standard, the car has been driven approximately 200 miles in the Jersey sunshine and any little rattles or niggles eradicated. This Austin Healey comes to us in immaculate Concours condition and is in our showroom ready for viewing. Chassis number: B129EJ Registration number: BUE922 Vintage and Prestige Fine Motor Cars are proud to be offering this 1935 Derby Bentley 3 1/2 Liter Rippon Pillarless Coupe for sale. A one off pillarless coupé designed by Rippon Bros of Huddersfield. The coachwork on this Bentley is the last word in elegance. The Derby Bentley belonged for many years to the late, and much missed Derby Bentley afficionado, Julian Paul of Ughill above Sheffield. Julian was known for his fastidious yet sympathetic restoration of his cars and indeed won numerous prizes for the cars he showed. This Derby Bentley is no exception having run under Julians tenure for a good number of years. The Derby Bentley comes to us in impeccable mechanical condition. The engine personifies the moniker "The silent sports car". It starts instantly and pulls one down the road at speed in a quiet and unruffled manner. The Derby Bentley is finished in excellent black and dark blue paint that accentuates the elegance of the design beautifully. To the interior is the original feeling Bedford cord to the front and rear with the front seats having fitted covers, the better to preserve them. The dash-board wood on the Derby Bentley has been removed and re-finished. A large sunroof slides easily open. An Art Deco style spot lamp adorns the font valence augmented either side by a pair of trumpet horns. Under the bonnet the engine bay is pleasantly tidy and workman like with the black parts having been painted in deep gloss. Attention has also been given to re-plating the chrome work where required. Rarely do we get a Derby of this elegance, rarity and beauty.

1925 MG Bull Nose Super Sports Salonette. 14/28hp Chassis number: 90553 Registration number: MO 6709 An Historic car; This is the earliest MG in the world to have survived in a complete and unmolested state (except for the one-off, non-production special known as `Old Number One') This car is in fully restored order having been comprehensivley gone through by renowned early MG expert Mr Fred Body. Although both were started and owned by William Morris, Morris Motors Ltd and Morris Garages Ltd operated as separate businesses. Appointed General Manager of the latter in 1922, Cecil Kimber was the concessionaire for Morris Cars in Oxfordshire but also free to retail other marques or indeed try and create his own. The first Morris Garages (MG) cars were special-bodied Morris Cowleys but Kimber soon turned his attention to the more powerful Morris Oxford which was revamped for 1925 with a six-inch longer wheelbase and twelve-inch diameter four-wheel drum brakes. That season's MG Super Sports range comprised two- and four-seater Tourers and an elegant two-door Salonette; all clothed by Carbodies of Coventry. As well as bespoke coachwork, MG 14/28 models differed from their Morris Oxford siblings by way of the following: a raked steering column, lower instrument panel, repositioned throttle pedal (moved from the centre to the right), relocated handbrake, improved suspension (flatter leaf springs, better dampers) and careful polishing and re-assembly of the engine. Road testing a MG 14/28 in October 1925, Motor Sport magazine found it capable of 65mph and far more suited to the needs of a sporting driver. Total Super Sports production for the 1925 model year amounted to just 125 cars of which only six were Salonettes. Considerably more expensive than their open brethren (£475 vs £350), the enclosed boat-tailed 2+2-seaters sported such niceties as a V-shaped four-piece windscreen, oval rear window, glass roof vent, rear tool locker (resembling a fuel tank), marine-inspired scuttle vents, sliding glass side windows and twin side-mounted spare wheels. Painted to a customer's choice they could be trimmed with leather or Bedford Cord. The earliest MG in the world to have survived in a complete and unmolested state (except for the one-off, non-production special known as `Old Number One'), chassis 90553 left the Morris assembly line without coachwork on 8th May 1925. Dispatched to Morris Garages and Carbodies of Coventry thereafter, it was not issued with the Berkshire registration number `MO 6709' until 9th December 1925. Migrating to Wiltshire before WW2, the 14/28 Super Sports was resident in Rettendon, Essex by the 1970s. Acquired by the Sharpe family that same decade, the Salonette was displayed at their Ramsgate Motor Museum until 2005 when Christie's auctioned its contents. After Purchase by famed early MG restorer Mr Fed Body the car was inspected & the wide planks which sit atop the chassis rails and often rot were not only perfectly serviceable but still carried their original body number stamping 3888. The aluminium body panels were similarly well preserved. The engine and gearbox were thoroughly overhauled. The Bullnose radiator carries a badge identifying the car as `The MG Super Sports Morris Oxford'. The instruments and switchgear are all original and the interior beautifully trimmed in Red leather with brocade detailing plus interior lights, roof nets and Morris Garages kick plates etc. Proudly displayed at Silverstone as part of the `MG 90' anniversary celebrations, the 14/28 Super Sports has been very sparingly used since its refurbishment. It starts readily with the engine has yet to be `run in'. The whole car is in immaculate order throughout and could quite happily grace a concours field & win prizes. An utterly charming Vintage saloon in its own right as well as a historically important MG, `MO 6709' recently graced the front cover of `Enjoying MG' magazine (November 2017) and was the subject of six-page article within it. 1958 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud 1 Chassis number: SHF149 Registration number: VWX1 (By separate negotiation.) Chassis up & body off restored. This car was discovered in the garage of the late first owner where it had been laid up for over 20 years after he stopped driving & had covered just 26,000 miles from new whilst the interior remained as a time warp. The car was completley solid but with brakes seized on & paint in poor condition. The previous owner was searching for such a car, purchasing it immediately & then embarked upon a body off restoration from the ground up. A complete photographic record of the works undertaken comes with the car. Untold ammounts of money have been spent upon it & were it totalled would equate to far more then the asking price. This Rolls Royce Silver Cloud 1 is finished in shell grey over velvet green the latter of which is sufficiently dark to appear as black in some lighting conditions. The chassis was stripped & painted with new nuts bolts & hardware fitted prior to the body being put back on the car. Pleasingly the original leather & woodwork was retained as it was in fine order given the low recorded miles when found. To the interior is original grey leather throughout. Walnut picnic tables were fitted from new in the Backs of the front seats. Marechal parking lamps are fitted to the door posts. An original 1958 Tax disc adorns the windshield. The boot floow is prisine & has all its tools in place including the original Jack with its original sticker intact. Needless to say, the car is pristine & about as good as one might find. Under the bonnet the engine bay is like new & the engine runs in compolete silence. The car as a whole has a tight taut feel to it that one only finds on these low mileage examples. This is a power steering car making it easy to drive & effortless to steer. After restoration a couple of years ago the car was shown at the RREC annual rally where it won prizes attesting to the quality of the work undertaken. It is due in with us in the next few weeks. The registration number is available by separate negotiation.

1923 Rolls Royce 20hp Doctors Coupe by Watsons of Liverpool Chassis number: 5056 Registration number: CM4931 This delightful 20 wears its original coachwork by Wm. Watson of Liverpool. The coachwork is highly attractive & particularly lightweight ideally suited to a 20. This is an early car equipped with the three speed gearbox with central gear change and rear wheel only brakes. A Dickey seat is fitted to the to rear. Chassis number 5056 was on test 27 January 1923 and noted as being the 122nd car to be so. Specified with raked steering, rear spare wheel carrier, straight sided wheels , AT speedo and side lamp wiring to wings, the car remains to this specification today in highly original condition. The car has just had a high quality respray in its original colour of Buttermilk yellow & is thus presented in super cosmetic condition. The order for the car was placed buy Mr H E Steel via William Watson & Sons Ltd who were Liverpool based, luxury car dealers and coachbuilders. William Watson was a famed racing driver who won the 1908 Isle of Man TT driving a four cylinder Napier Hutton car. By June 1923 the car was owned by R. H. Gossage from Birkenhead, close to Liverpool. Service records within the history file show regular maintenance was carried out by Messrs W. Watsons on behalf of Rolls-Royce for R.H. Gossage through to 1937. By 1953 Rolls-Royce records list 5056 as being owned by H. L. H. Birley of Witney, Oxfordshire, however, John Fasal (famous Rolls-Royce historian and author of Rolls-Royce Twenty) notes the car as being owned by Brian Ashley Barker of Penzance, Cornwall, between 1952 -1959. At this time she wore a Kangaroo mascot! Also within the history file is a picture of the car taken by John Fasal in 1966. The car looks largely as presented today and was owned by Grant M. White from California. 5056 returned to the UK relatively recently and has been reissued with its original registration number. It remains very original retaining its under trays, Rolls-Royce type coil etc. The car is in superb condition & is quite fast by 20hp or 20/25 standards given the light coachwork. 5056 runs and performs very well indeed having an aluminium cylinder head fitted and has been subject to a recent engine tune by Marque speecialists. We will undertake better photography after the car arrives with us next week. Office 01375 379719 Richard Biddulph 07967 260673 We accept Credit/Debit Cards. Part Exchange welcome.
