Chassis number: P430222 Registration number: BF7042 A powerful six cylinder tourer boasting a short stroke 40hp three litre engine. This car comes to us fresh from having completed a major run across the entire length of France; a feat it performed with aplomb in the company of an assortment of early cars. It has been part of a prominent UK car collection of veteran & other early cars all of which receive regular use by the enthusiast owners. The car is finished in primrose yellow over maroon giving the car a jaunty appearance. The paint is some years old & lightly patinated but presents very very well. The seats are beige & again in good order with maroon carpets completing the ensemble. A black hood easily unfurls & side screens slot into the doors for closed motoring in inclement weather. These early American cars are robust, strong & powerful making for a pleasant motoring experience. Throttle is to the centre with brake to the right of it. The gear box is easily mastered & a pleasure to use. The car runs well in modern trafic & never feels slow. The car sits on solid wheels shod with 4 good tyres. The spare is rear mounted behind a useful fold out luggage rack. The car is in fine running order as attested to by its recent Gallic travels & will provide delightful summer motoring for the next owner.

Vintage and Prestige are proud to offer this 1930 Austin 7 RK Fabric Saloon (Seven) For Sale. Chassis no: 122301 Registration: GK 6376 Right from the moment of its launch in 1922, the Austin Seven was an unprecedented success that not only saved Austin but wiped out most other small cars and cyclecars of the early 1920s. Simply yet brilliantly engineered by Herbert Austin and his young protégé, Stanley Edge, at Austins home, it quite literally put Britain on the road. Occupying barely more tarmac than a motorcycle and sidecar, the Seven still managed to squeeze in all the comforts of a family saloon and boasted such luxuries as four-wheel drum brakes and (from 1924) an electric starter. Built around an A-frame leaf-sprung chassis and powered by a 10hp 747cc four-cylinder side-valve engine, it had transverse-leaf spring suspension at the front and quarter-elliptics to the rear. Available in numerous different body styles, it remained in production until 1939. Uncomplicated, huge fun to drive and bursting with character, this miniature masterpiece has long been the backbone of the vintage car movement. This particular Seven is a rare lightweight RK saloon of which few were made between 1928 and 1930, available with either aluminium or fabric bodywork. First registered in Plymouth in October 1929, the car remained in Devon for the next 80 years although it apparently spent the last 50 of them in storage. This charming and rare fabric bodied vintage Austin 7 has been the subject of a major body-off restoration some five years ago, as a result she is offerered in excellent condition. Mechanically she is also great, and has benefitted by a recent major service by our workshops, currently in our showrooms and ready to go. This particular DB4 Series 2 is on the market with the previous owner, Mr D Banton, having bought the car in December of 1976 and has just undergone a complete restoration through ourselves. DB4/449/R was first registered on the 17th November 1960 where it was sold to a Mrs N Cotton of Bournemouth, then sold to a Mr S Dicks of London in 1965, whereupon it was sold to Mr Richard Butt of Grays who subsequently sold it to his brother, a Mr (Roger) Butt who kept the car until 1976. Mr D Banton used the car regularly in and around London and perhaps more fitting for a car of this style, slightly further afield with trips across Europe to the French Alps for skiing holidays. In 1983 Mr D Banton sent the car for a full bare metal respray, keeping the original colour of Dubonnet Red. Other work includes receipts in the history file dating back to 1976 with hand written invoices from Ian Moss, Aston Martin specialists. Further maintenance was carried out in the late 70's with bills from Aston Martin andAston specialist Hyde Vale and later in 1996 with Ian Moss once again. Also in the history file is a copy of the buff log book, handbook and a copy of the original invoice from 1960. The DB4 was a true sports car to the DB5's Sports GT, and the values are continuing to increase in line with all classic Aston values. The Series 2 cars had some minor modifications over the original design including a front hinged bonnet (rather than the 'crocodile' bonnet of the Series 1), uprated front calipers and oil pump and an enlarged sump. Fresh from a full nut and bolt restoration, the car has had a full bare metal respray in Silver Birch, finished with black leather interior. Oselli have rebuilt the engine to 4.2 litre specification with unleaded fuel conversion, whilst lightening and balancing the engine and fitting Cosworth forged pistons. The 4 speed David Brown gearbox has been rebuilt and overdrive fitted. Electric power steering has been retrofitted, in addition to a heated rear windscreen, electronicclock, electric aerial and retro-look radio with iPod connection. It has new wire wheels with period correct Avon Turbosteel tyres, and a larger anti-roll bar to improve cornering and lessen body roll. The car has also had an oil cooler and Kenlowe electric fan installed. A fantastic opportunity to obtain one of the very best Series 2 DB4s on the market today. For any serious inquiries, please ring Fraser on 01279 813907/07880 554460.

Vintage and Prestige are proud to offer this 1961 Bentley S2 Continental Drophead Coupé DHC by Park Ward LHD For Sale. Registration: O-ADU-084 (formally 567UYR) Chassis no: BC67BY Engine no: B66BC Coachwork: Park Ward Introduced in the autumn of 1959, the Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II and Bentley S2 appeared externally unchanged from their Silver Cloud and S-Type predecessors, though their performance was considerably enhanced by the new 6,230cc aluminium-alloy engine. The Bentley S2, with its sister Rolls-Royce models, gives high-speed travel in silence and luxury, while the driver and passengers enjoy the sense of well being that only British craftsmanship can give. The V8 engine, with its flashing acceleration, certainly contributes to the result and is a definite step forward in Rolls-Royce technique, enthused Autosport. There were few significant changes to the running gear, though power-assisted steering was now standard and the manual gearbox had been dropped, Rolls-Royces own four-speed automatic transmission being the sole offering. The Continental version of the Bentley remained, as ever, exclusively a coachbuilt car. The firms of H J Mulliner, Park Ward, James Young and Hooper (with a solitary example) all offered bodies on the Continental S2 chassis, which differed from the standard version by virtue of its four-leading-shoe front brakes, shorter radiator and, up to chassis number BC99BY, higher gearing. Arguably the most influential were those bodied as coupés and dropheads by Rolls-Royces in-house coachbuilder Park Ward, and this design by Norwegian Vilhelm Koren, with its continuous front-to-rear wing line hinting at the shape of things to come, would continue on the Continental S3. Quad headlamps were the S3s major styling innovation, and on the H J Mulliner, Park Ward-bodied Continental, were contained in slanting nacelles, giving rise to this models Chinese Eye soubriquet. Bentley Continental chassis number BC67BY, although an S2 model dating from 1961 (as confirmed by the accompanying copy chassis cards), has the quad headlamps not adopted on production models until the coming of the S3 in 1962. The paint work is beautifully finished in the Bentley colour Steel Blue and is in excellent condition, the chromework has a high level of sheen and beautifully compliments the paintwork. The interior is finished in grey hide throughout and like the exterior has been well maintained. To the floor and lower door panels there is deep blue carpet piped in grey hide. On the road she drives beautifully, pulling well and firing first time every time. In our showroom and ready for viewing. A large gallery of high-resolution pictures may be viewed on our website.
