*** New Price *** A truly spectacular example of these wonderfully elegant 'slope back' Bentley Continental's - and most unusually this one sports a pair of rear wheel Spats too The history folder is quite excellent, with original correspondence from the very earliest portion of BC41BG's life Originally supplied through Mayfair and World renowned dealership Jack Barclay there are within the folder many service records, internal memorandums and also the original sales contract - its all really quite charming to behold The first owner exchanged his 'D' series 'R' Type Continental plus a wad of money for this, the then latest and most up to date Continental available at the time - how times change and now his original car is worth twice the value of this, the replacement I wonder which is really the better car - the S1 Fastback is certainly far rarer than the 'R' Type Continental JB's supplied her to the first 3 owners, it would seem from the papers and serviced her throughout - by 1960 over 52.000 miles had been covered It's funny how many visitors ask us here in the Mews whether these old cars can cope with regular use - when you look at the number of vehicles which have covered over 17.000 per annum, like this did in the first 3 years, it really makes one wonder what they thought these cars, or their owners, did all those years ago? The last two custodians of BC41BG are very well known to us here in Kensington, the former carrying out a full suspension overhaul as well as a complete engine rebuild at his local specialists near to his home in Colchester (5.000 miles only since these works were completed) and the most recent engaged us to strip her to bare metal, repaint her beautifully (making the new rear wheel Spats at this time) and also to completely re-trim the interior and boot compartments She presents, almost to perfection, whilst on the road she performs with quite astonishing aplomb - the freshly rebuilt engine is delightfully quiet and smooth, matching perfectly the seemless gearbox operation The interior is, to quote the wonderful Noel Coward, "quite devine" and a most comfortable place in which to travel; again it has to be acknowledged that the S1 Continental does take a lot of beating All in all this is one of the very nicest, if not possibly the very nicest, Fastback S1 we have come across and for the next custodian, we can confirm she gathers rather a lot of attention, from all the right people and in just the right way too

The brain child of former Aston Martin chairman Victor Gauntlett and the brothers Elio and Gianni Zagato, of the famed Milanese Carrozerria. The V8 Vantage Zagato project, re-united the two companies association after nearly 25 years and the highly successful DB4GT Zagatos were built. A limited run of 50 cars only, was offered in 1985 when the car was launched at the Geneva show, all quickly snapped up by eager owners, prior to the first deliveries. The car we are pleased to offer, was ordered in 1985 and first owned by George Minden, a former shareholder of AML and prominent classic car collector. With distinctive 1980s period styling and exceptional period performance, the V8 Vantage Zagato values have yet to be fully recognised, when considered against other Zagato derivatives of Aston Martin models. Opportunities, to acquire exceptional quality and low mileage examples are becoming rare indeed. Complete with its service records and original Zagato handbook, as well as photos and invoices for the restorative works, we are delighted to offer this exceptional low mileage car, fully prepared and serviced to date.

Robin Lawton Vintage & Classic Cars are proud to Offer for Sale: Ex-Works Competition Department 1935 Riley TT Sprite AVC 19 - Chassis Number 22T1750 (one of 7 Works-built models) prepared to Original Specification. FIA, FIVA, HTP, VSCC We are proud and excited to bring to the market one of the most original Riley Team Cars AVC 19 which has just been the subject of a fastidious and long awaited restoration to original specification. The car now looks just at it did in 1935 when it made its race debut at the 1935 Tourist Trophy driven by Von der Becke and finishing a creditable 9th against some extremely formidable competition. The complete rebuild of this car, which was finished just over a week ago, was only possible because Robin Lawton Vintage & Classic Cars - were able to assist with securing the acquisition of numerous original components both body and mechanical which had hitherto been unavailable for at least the past 40 years! This Riley has a distinguished race history which includes: 1935 Tourist Trophy, 1936 French Grand Prix (finishing 3rd in the under 2 litre class), 1936 Tourist Trophy, 1937 Le Mans 24 Hours, 1937 French Grand Prix, 1937 Montlhery, 1945 Paris Benoist Cup and following an earlier restoration which was completed in 2009 the car was campaigned at Prescott and several other VSCC Events by Riley guru, Allen Clear. Significant historic competition cars always great create interest, but it is rare to find a car with such comprehensive and fully documented provenance dating back over 80 years. Many Evocations of the delectable TT Sprite have been created over the years but this is a true original with a virtually unrivalled pedigree in its class. Background on the car has been extensively researched and it is believed that this car, chassis 22T1750 was constructed in the Riley Works Competition Department using the chassis from the 6 cylinder Works MPH Racer - KV9478. The evidence for this is the fact that the nearside dumb iron shows evidence of the reuse of the chassis: 22T1750 is stamped on the side with evidence of 44T2128 stamped on the top of the dumb iron. There is also evidence that appears to show where the MPH chassis had its brackets for the front axle radius arms removed showing that AVC 19 was built up from KV9478 using parts available at the time. The aforementioned MPH had competed in the 1934 Le Mans before being dismantled by the works in the summer of 1935 with AVC 19 (chassis number 22T1750 being registered by the Riley Works in May 1936). There is the most substantial and fully documented history of the car, which is available, under separate cover, for interested parties. We also have photograph albums, historic notes and invoices which can be inspected at The Garage. Robin Lawton Vintage & Classic Cars is delighted to have been involved and able to work closely with the restorer and owners who led the project. Conceived by former Aston Martin CEO Victor Gauntlett and the brothers Giani and Ellio Zagato, the V8 Vantage Zagato, entered production in 1986. Limited to 50 production cars. By 1988 all 50 had been completed and delivered to their lucky owners. Chassis: 20013, the first production right hand drive car, was delivered new to its first owner in 1986 before being acquired in 1998 by English actor, comedian and screenwriter Rowan Atkinson, with the express purpose of presenting it to the Aston Martin Works for a comprehensive rebuild to road racing specifications. Following a re-engineering and rebuild programme, to AMOC racing regulations for road equipped cars, 20013 was campaigned at national level by Rowan Atkinson, with Works support and with varying success over 3 years, before being retired and sold on in 2004. A substantial Aston Martin file, of all the competition preparation on this unique car, including engine development, chassis, brakes and suspension works, weight saving and competition modifications, rebuilds and FIVA identity papers. 20013 remains to this day, the only V8 Vantage Zagato known to have been race prepared and supported by the Aston Martin Works, carrying fond memories for those involved. Purchased by the last owner in 2016, the car has been subject to further development and revisions, enabling the car to be enjoyed on the public roads. Retaining the works prepared 482 bhp fuel injected 5.3 litre engine, the car has been reinstated with refrigerated air conditioning, re-trimmed original Zagato seats, storage compartments, carpeting and interior appointments enabling the car to be both practical and comfortable. Without doubt the most significant and collectable of the 50 production V8 Vantage Zagatos constructed, 20013 can now be driven on the road in comfort, whilst benefitting from the enhanced power and ultimate chassis dynamics, of the track focused car. Currently UK registered & MOTd.

The final derivative of the iconic 60s DB line of cars built at Newport Pagnell, the DB6 was introduced in 1965 and response to customer demand, the DB6 benefitted from a number of refinements over the DB5 aimed at making it a more comfortable and usable GT car. A Kamm tail was introduced to reduce aerodynamic drag and increase rear end stability. By the end of production in 1969 when the DB6 Mk2 superseded the model, just 1325 examples were built, for worldwide consumption. The charming example was first delivered in 1966 in its current livery of Dawn Blue over Blue Grey (Connolly VM3244) hides. The extensive history file documents that in the mid-1980s, recognised Aston Martin specialists carried out various restorative works, evidently to a very high standard, as the condition of the car today testifies. With just another 30,000 miles of use in the following 35 years and having benefitted from thorough maintenance by Heritage agents and Aston Martin Works, the car is in very good order throughout, looking and driving just as a DB6 should. During its life, the originally supplied automatic gearbox has been replaced with the correct type 5-speed manual transmission, further enhancing the driving experience. This excellent matching numbers example that displays just the right level of period patina, will surely appeal to the enthusiast, who we are sure will gain much pleasure from it in future. Supplied freshly serviced and prepared and with warranty, this vehicle is now available for viewing and demonstration at our Hertfordshire showroom.

BRITISH STYLE with AMERICAN MUSCLE In 1986 the Hurlock family sold AC Cars to Brian Angliss which gave him the full trademark rights to the AC name. This sale agreement was only made possible because Angliss met the very high quality production standards required by Derek Hurlock before he would allow the AC name to be used. Angliss then formed a Joint Venture with Ford subsequently producing the AC MkIV 'Cobra', with the cars legitimately bearing both the AC names.

Unique: Being the only one of its kind; unlike anything else. Revealed in 2007 at Aston Martins Design Studios opening party, the unique Vantage RS concept was shown by CEO Dr Ulrich Bez and resulted in a rush of customer interest and orders placed. Here was Aston Martins smallest car with their biggest and most powerful engine installed. Fitted with a DBRS9 detuned engine producing 585 bhp, dry sump lubrication, use of carbon fibre materials and a power to weight ratio of 375bhp per ton, details were scant on reveal. The Vantage RS was displayed by Aston Martin at the Geneva Motor show in 2008, the Goodwood Festival of Speed that year and featured on the cover of Top Gear and Evo magazines. Tested at Circuit Paul Ricard in 2008, the Vantage RS was timed through the speed trap at 175 mph, eclipsing the speed of Aston Martin Racings GT2, GT3 and GT4 racing machinery, tested simultaneously. The 580 bhp and 690 Nm of torque available in the 1500 kg car, proved almost too fast to consider allowing the public to buy one! The Vantage RS utilised the aluminium constructed VH chassis architecture pioneered by Dr Bez, in this instance fitted with an Aston Martin Racing C-Spec DBRS9 engine, utilising dry sump lubrication and highly specified components including tuned length exhaust manifolds, forged pistons and strengthened steel con-rods, with revised lift and duration camshafts and modified cylinder heads. This extraordinary power is transmitted through a manually operated 6-speed transaxle with limited slip differential. Bodied in aluminium and carbon fibre panels some being unique to the Vantage RS, the car was shown with carbon interior fixtures and fittings, Alcantara trim and exclusive lightweight materials still fitted. The total weight of under 1500 kg, being some 200 kg under the published weight of the production V12 Vantage, lighter still than the later Vantage GT12. Later to become the V12 Vantage a distinctly diluted form of the RS Concept, the model went on to become one of Aston Martins most popular and revered cars, in production until 2018. Road registered in the UK in 2014, this is one of the very few Aston Martin concept cars, to enter into private ownership and therefore represents a unique opportunity for international collectors to acquire a remarkable and original concept, of what was to become one of Aston Martins greatest cars of the modern era. Road registered, in pristine condition and maintained by Aston Martins special vehicle operations, we are delighted to bring to market this unique original concept car. Complete with a spares package, history file with extensive documentation and photography, this very special and highly desirable car is available for now, at our Hertfordshire home.
