This is the not the typical, average Ford Mustang 289 V8 Coupe we see on the UK market. This is a very correct, original car with provenance, exceptional history dating back to 1966 and a genuine 66,000 miles from new. The Ford was supplied new by Fred Lautze Inc on Airport Blvd, San Francisco, California on the 21st April 1966 to Fulvio Garzoli, a WWII veteran of the US Navy residing in San Francisco. The Mustang then spent 33 years in the City (its whole time in the USA), changing hands just small number of times. The original Ford Mustang service book is with the car confirming early maintenance at 2352, 4915, 7984, 12319, 17392 and 21540 miles in 1970. The Mustang was later sold and owned for many years by a Mrs Ferrari in Foster City, South San Francisco and a file of paperwork for maintenance is with the car. In 1999 the Mustang sold again, this time to a Motoring Journalist in the Inner Richmond district of San Francisco. In 2002, its owner moved to London, shipping his beloved originalMustang with him where it was then registered OGC 570D. In 2004, the Ford had to be sold and was purchased by the most recent owner who since moved from the London area to rural North Yorkshire. This car was the first purchase of a very impressive large classic car collection and during the 15 years of ownership, never once failed or let its owner down, proving a strong, robust and reliable original car. OGC 570D presents very well with a superb, strong straight bodyshell. There are no signs of any corrosion issues and being a true California car, its clear to see the bodywork has never required major work. The car has required no paintwork whilst in the UK and has a very original look and feel to it. It still retains a good shine, there are odd marks and blemishes associated with age, but ultimately it looks like a really honest, strong original car that has never required restoration. The chrome work is bright, wheels are in good condition, the glass is very good and the underside of the vehicleis structurally outstanding as we would expect having had the climate of California for the majority of its life. The upholstery appears correct and appears to be totally original. The seats, door cards, headlining, dashboard and carpets are all in very good order, as is the correct boot floor mat and spare wheel cover. The car is quite clearly very genuine and its condition both inside and out would suggest its never had a hard life and supports the paperwork in being a very low mileage example. We road tested and checked over this Ford Mustang on the North Yorkshire Moors and considering its had very little recent use, it performed well. Being part of a large collection often means lack of use and having owned the car for fifteen years, the owner has decided to part with the car and concentrate on UK marques. On a 25 minute road test up steep hills, down narrow lanes and the occasional long straight near Blakey Ridge in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park the Mustang wasimpressive. The V8 engine performed faultlessly, the smooth automatic gearbox shifts and changes up and down the gearbox nicely. Once a buyer is secured, we will then MOT test the Ford and carry out a service will include replacement fluids and a brake strip and clean before going to its next owner. OGC 570D is a very affordable entry into the V8 muscle car world but with much more than the average Mustang. Finding such an honest, original and untouched example could prove very difficult, but even more rare is finding a car with history back to new with its original service book, a genuine low mileage of 66,000 and the fact this is a genuine rust free California car that has spent most of its life in one US City. This is a fabulous opportunity, a great car to use, enjoy and continue to preserve. Price: 23,995

We are delighted to offer this stunning, rare Wolseley 18/80 Salon De Ville onto the market. This is a wonderfully presented, high quality luxury pre-war Saloon that has superb history and provenance. The extensive history file tells us the cars first owner, a Mr Douglas of the Scottish Borders took the night Pullman train to Birmingham to collect the car from the factory when new, driving it all the way back home to Scotland on its first outing. The next landmark for the car was in 1950, when it won first prize in the 'Concours d'Elegance' in the Oliver's Auction Market in Hawick, photograph enclosed in the history file. In 1950 the car was purchased by a later owners Uncle who by 1969 had stopped using the car due to ill health and it was left for some time abandoned on a farm. It was at this point the nephew took on ownership, but it wasn't until 1979 the car was stripped down to the bare chassis in preparation for its restoration. The bare chassis was cleaned, all parts re-conditioned orreplaced, the engine was stripped down and rebuilt with re-ground crankshaft, new pistons, new main and big end bearings, a new wiring harness was made and the car built back up ready for use. The budget did not stretch to paintwork and interior work, but by 1981 the car was in exceptional mechanical condition, passed its MOT with flying colours and then used for daily driving for the next two years. The Wolseley was then laid up again and in 1990 the owner sold the car as by then he needed the garage space. During the early to mid 1990's the Wolseley was treated to further restoration work including a bare metal re-paint, new interior, various re-chroming work and mechanical re-commissioning to include rebuilding the cylinder head. Since the second phase of restoration works, our Wolseley has covered around 8000 miles, it was regularly on the show circuit during the 1990's and did pick up silverware. More recent years has seen the 18/80 used on various filmsets playing a part in the BBC drama'Philomena', 'The Bletchley Circle II' and in 2014 the car played a prominent role in 'Dad's Army', a photo of Catherine Zeta Jones in the car is present in the history file. With just an extensive history its clear this Wolseley has been a much loved, cherished car and its now ready for its next chapter. TFF 693 is an outstanding car to drive and reading an original Autocar Road test, we can see that it was indeed an exceptional car when built new. Whilst giving the impression of a solid, quiet and smooth-running motor car, we can quote Autocar in saying that the Wolseley Motor Company 'produced something exceptional'. They went onto say its measured performance shows up very creditably, it is responsive on the road, it handles well, is thoroughly comfortable, roomy, and a well-equipped vehicle of handsome appearance and very good finish. There was no doubt the Wolseley 18/80 in it's day was found to be a fast, tractable car which was compact in the sense that it's wasn't too heavy for economicalrunning, yet it had at the same time a broad, low floored saloon body giving generous room for five adults. Over 70 years later, this 'exceptional' motor car now offers a comfortable, usable, powerful and luxurious motoring experience where its performance and power are far more advanced than its pre-war Saloon looks. This rare and interesting Wolseley 18/80 has arrived with us from Wales in lovely condition. It has now nicely aged since its cosmetic work during the 1990's, the paint work still retains a lovely deep shine, the body is in excellent condition, brightwork is of a high standard and the upholstery is stunning with beautifully aged Grey leather, fabulous woodwork and a stunning wool headlining. The car has a real presence and is equally as impressive on the road with a lovely, strong, powerful engine, smooth gearbox and wonderful handling and general performance. This is a very special car, its ultra-usable, has proven reliability and offers ideal pre-war motoring for the family withperformance, luxury and reliability well beyond its years. Price: 22,995
