Just out of a 4 year exhaustive nut & bolt restoration; the car comes with a huge history file minutely detailing the extensive works undertaken to bring this car back to better then new standards. The work was performed by noted Ghost restorer Dave Hemmings of March Cambridgeshire who has done many such cars over the years. Chassis number 1194 was built in 1909 & is one of just a handful surviving from so early on. The car originally carried 2 seat coachwork by Brainsby and went as new to its first owner in Australia, One Mr Greenside. The second owner was a Mr Yarhar of Victoria followed by messers Solemn & O'Neil both of Sydney. The current owner acquired it with a view to a major restoration which has just come to its 4 year culmination. Prior to this in 1973 the car completed the Alpine Ghost tour of that year. The attention to detail on the car is extraordinary. It has a full quotient of period instruments including an Elliott Brothers speedometer, oil pressure gauge & correct Rolls Royce switches, all in nickel. The Silver Whisper monniker plaque is from solid sterling silver as its hall mark attests. A boa Constrictor type horn augments the passenger operated bulb type horn. The Barker Rois Des Belges style bodywork was expertly crafted by noted coachbuilders Wilkinsons of Derby as an exacting copy of an original. Particular attention was given to getting the curve of the rear doors correct. The car sits on Warland artillery wheels shod with Dunlop Cord beaded edge tyres. A spare detachable rim is fitted to the running board. Under the bonnet the car is simply spectacular with gleaming brass & copper wherever one looks. The engine needless to say runs in the kind of unflustered silence for which the cars are justly renowned. Being newly rebuilt the car is due for a thousand or so miles of careful running in. The car runs & drives effortlessly with particularly light steering from running on the narrow gauge beaded edge rubber. The three speed gear box is simple to use with little recourse to it being needed once top has been selected. The car is coach painted in velvet green & has pale green scalloped coach lines to the bonnet. The seats are sumptuous buttoned green hide to front & rear along with green door cards & green Wilton carpets. The lamps are all nicel items & are spectacular in their condition having been fully rebuilt & replated. A whisperer mascot adorns the radiator. Early Parallel bonnet Ghosts rarely come to market & even more rarely in such spectacular order. The car is in concours winning order & more then ready to claim first prizes. If not already sold it will appear on our stand at Technoclassica Essen. We also have a similar 1910 car just arriving in Dark Blue. Please call for more details.

The start of the 3rd Millenium was a great time for Ferrari, not only on the road but also on the track; 6 Constructors' titles between 1999 and 2004 saw the Prancing Horses dominate the F1 calendar year-on-year, with Schumacher at the top of his form. It was at this time that Luca Di Montezemolo embarked on creating a car to reflect this motorsport success and bring such technology to the road; a project that would be dedicated to the Founder of the company. September 2002 was the first chance the world got to see the Ferrari Enzo at the Paris Auto Show; although technically the successor to the F50, the Enzo was a car to represent everything great about the brand and complement competition success with the ultimate supercar at the time. To achieve this, the Ferrari Enzo featured the pinnacle of technology, engineering and design, while all the while taking great influence from Schumacher's multiple title-winning car. This relationship can be most obviously seen in how focused the Enzo is;designed for maximum performance and downforce with a lack of creature comforts such as a radio. At the heart of the previously dubbed F60 is a 660 bhp Tipo F140B V12 mated to the fastest F1 gearbox seen at the time, propelling the beautiful body to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds and on to a top speed of 217. In-keeping with the previous 'special-series' production cars, the Enzo's production was limited to just 399 examples, with the 400th example being gifted to Pope John Paul II. Naturally all cars were instantly accounted for, with values of Enzos never dropping to anywhere near the original sales price of less than £500,000. This particular example is quite literally the only example in the world to have been finished in naked Carbon Fibre. Originally delivered in Rosso Corsa, this car was sent back to Maranello to have the refinishing done in period. The interior Carbon Fibre, and Engine bay have been finished in Rosso Carbon, and the level of craftsmanship and attention to detail make this car asight to behold. The Ferrari Enzo remains to this day one of the most important and eye-catching Prancing Horses ever to leave Maranello, with this example sitting as not only one of the most striking, but also one of the most beautiful and important Enzos ever produced.

The Aston Martin DB5 was released in 1963 to follow the seminal DB4. The car was immortalised in the public consciousness as being James Bond's car of choice, first appearing in the legendary 1964 Goldfinger film. Designed by Carrozzeria Touring Superlegerra the car came to be one of the most desirable luxury Grand tourers one could buy in the mid-60's; boasting a 4.0L Straight-6 that developed 282bhp, a cutting edge 5-speed ZF gearbox and three SU carburettors the car was capable of propelling it's driver to 145mph. The DB5 was easily one of the most well equipped cars of the day; featuring reclining seats, wool pile carpets electric windows, twin fuel tanks, chrome wire wheels, oil cooler, magnesium-alloy body built to superleggera patent technique and full leather trim in the cabin. Of the 1,059 produced only 123 were of the convertible variety that we're offering. Produced from 1963 under the name 'DB5 Convertible', from October '65 to October '66 the final 37 chassis' were named 'Volante'. Thevehicle we're offering was first registered in July of 1964 and is finished in the stunning Caribbean Pearl over Dark Blue leather. With the original purchase invoice confirming the current colours to be the same as when the car left the factory. The car has also had a very interesting ownership history, with the original purchase invoice confirming delivery to Peter Sellers. The car then made its way into the ownership of Lord Snowden and Princess Margaret with newspaper clippings in the cars history folder showing The princess and her family in the car itself. Finally the car was given to Lord Snowden's son, Viscount Linley, who sold it in an auction in order to raise money to pay the Death Duty on his inheritance. While only £3m was required to pay the duty, over £13m was raised leading to Lord Snowden accusing his son of selling anything that wasn't laid down. The car comes with a very complete history detailing MOTs as well as service work by Aston Martin works in 2012. The chance to own sucha stunning car with such interesting provenance is a rare one!
