On offer on behalf of the Vendor is this unique one off Hamilton Riley Special. The car was bought a few years ago, it was bought in the uk. Because it is difficult to get a Dutch license plate it is better to sell it back to someone in the uk. This Riley is built by a Riley engineer in the 50ties. He died and his son wanted to restore the Hamilton. But he became sick and had to sell the car before it was ready. The car has now been fully restored in Holland. The Hamilton is beautifully built & technically very good. It is a very sporty Barchetta with tubular chassis, XK brakes and wheels , special built axles and a pathfinder 2.5 Litre engine. Car handles very well and steering is very positive. The Car is located in Holland but is UK registered. Clients Letter to Gasoline Alley:- A few years ago I bought in the uk the Riley Hamilton. Because it is difficult to get a Dutch license plate it is better to sell it back to someone in the uk. This Riley is built by a Riley engineer in the 50ties. He diedand his son wanted to restore the Hamilton. But he became sick and had to sell the car before he was ready. The car has finished his restoration in holland. The Hamilton is beautifully built ,technically very good. It is a very sporty barchetta with tubular chassis, XK brakes and wheels , special built axels and a pathfinder 2,5 l engine. Car handles very good and steering is very good. It is better to bring the Hamilton back to the UK because of the fact that it is difficult to get a Dutch license plate. The Hamilton is a technically very well built car. Very strong and well sorted parts. Expensive suspension etc. He has a steel body. For myself I wanted to rebuild the body in Aluminium and change the back of the car a little bit. But that is not needed because of it's weight in relation to the power of the engine. The car has plenty of power. Postwar Twin Cam Special: 1946 Hamilton-Riley This 1946 Hamilton Special is a one-off custom built from the parts of several noteworthy old British cars, including a Riley engine, AC drive axle, and Jaguar gearbox, brakes, and wheels. Restored partially by the original builder's son and completed by the seller, they say that the steel-bodied car is easy to drive and fast with excellent handling. The car has classical long hood/short deck styling in profile, and though details like the wide, somewhat stodgy looking windshield frame and rather abrupt tail aren't as slickly resolved as they might be, the also add quite a bit of character that's totally in keeping with the car's home-made personality. Note the rear wheel radiuses and modified Riley grille. Sidepipes are cool, but may not be mirrored on the other side. Riley twin cam. Displacing 2.5 liters for about 110 HP, cams are actually mounted high in the block, just underneath intake and exhaust ports. Jaguar XK parts include its 4-speed transmission, brakes, and wire wheels, while the rear axle is from a 2.0 liter AC.

History of Talbot 110 VDP Tourer (EOU 627). The original car was built in 1936 as a 110BG Saloon, Chassis number 4571, It was given a Southampton registration number but wasn't registered for the road until 1946. The car was taken off the road in 1962 and what was left of it purchased by Mr. David Cooper from the Talbot Specialist Cecil Schumacher. The purchase included a VDP wooden chassis frame made specifically for this chassis by 'Wards if Ireland'. The back axle was rebuilt by Talbot Specialist Bill Barrett and the engine rebuilt by Arnett's of Doncaster. The rest of the car was the final project for the owner Mr.David Cooper who over a period of time brought the car back to present fantastic condition. It has an original Roots 4 speed manual gearbox, original lights, horns and GB plate with an upgrade to include indicators. It has Tailor made Mohair Hood & Full Tonneau Cover, the dashboard made in Mahogany and the original seats have been re-covered in 'new' brown leather. Full set of Carpetsmade in matching brown. Sadly by the time the car was complete David's cash partner in the project was suffering ill health and the Talbot had to be sold on. Please Call for Further Information

'SLL 346' was purchased new by the original new owner in 1956 and has remained in the family's possession until being sold at Bonham's Goodwood Auction in 2017. It is believed that the Jaguar was purchased from Henlys of Camden Town, London. The Original owner loved the unusual Cambridge Blue livery (many MkVII's were two-tone), and specified automatic transmission for the convenience of his wife, who was newly qualified to drive. However, he did not take to the auto 'box (his previous Jaguars had all been manual) and she found the car too big, with the result that the MKVII was used mainly for special occasions. Stored in a dry garage since it was last run in the late 1960s until 2017, this remarkable car has covered a mere 2,020 miles from new. The original owners son had intended to restore the Jaguar but lacked the space to carry out the work, hence the decision to sell at Auction. The car since purchase by the current vendor has been re-commissioned to its current glory and now needs a smallamount of work to bring it to a well deserved finish. This amazing 'time warp' car exhibits all the features one would expect of a grand Jaguar saloon of the period - beautiful woodwork, switchgear, brightwork, tool trays, etc - and the fortunate new owner will be richly rewarded.
