The 4 cylinder range of Porsches fulfilled a need during the 1980s and although not as thrilling as the ubiquitous 911 they were pretty well developed by the mid-eighties and good value. They needed something more thrilling though and so the Turbo was developed producing 220 bhp,155 mph and a terrific 0-60mph time of six secs, koni shockers, brembo brakes all completed the spec making this a serious drivers car. This is a lovely Grand Prix white example supplied from new in the UK and with a good spec including air con, Elec sunroof and seats. She has a very good history file including original service and handbooks, with all old mots and service invoices including a recent major service cambelts. Even today the 944 surprises with plenty of torque and power when on boast providing an exciting drive with a great 50/50 weight distributed chassis the handling is years ahead of its time. Supplied fully inspected, serviced with 12 months warranty.

Porsche began development of turbocharging on their race cars during the late 1960s, and in 1973 began work on a turbocharged version of the 911. They originally needed to produce the car in order to comply with homologation regulations and had intended on marketing it as a street legal race vehicle like the 1973 Carrera 2.7 RS. As with many cars in history the race regulations changed during this period meaning 500 Turbos had to be produced to homologate the model so the 911 Turbo was put into production in late 1974. While the original purpose of the 911 Turbo was to gain homologation for the 1976 racing season, it quickly became popular among car enthusiasts. The next stage was to intercool the turbocharger and increase the engine capacity to 3.3 litre in 1978 producing a powerful 300 bhp and making the car much more drivable compared to the earlier model which suffered from turbo lag. This lovely 1979 example was supplied by Maltin motors and had the popular specification of silver metallic, electric sunroof, air con and full leather interior. She has been cherished and well maintained including a bare metal repaint in 2006 costing several thousand pounds, gearbox rebuild and all work is itemised in the comprehensive history file which includes all handbooks ,stamped service book, all mots and service invoices. On the road these 911s are staggering especially for a 1970s car and despite using a strong 4 speed gearbox which was capable of handling the power they are very useable and lots of fun whether cruising or on quick cross country trips. Supplied fully inspected, serviced with 12 months warranty.

How could you replace the Superlative E Type and please the buyer safety experts and move into the 1970s. The XJ S had big shoes to fill and by the mid-1970s although the E Type was looking dated it was still a desirable icon. So early on at its launch in 1975, the XJ S was not very well received with many disliking its shape especially the rear buttresses and more contemporary looks. I have personal memories as my dad receiving his white one in 1975 and I can remember it being good looking but very poorly built with lots of mechanical defects from day one! However, over the years Jaguar managed to develop the car to become a much more appealing grand touring machine and the HE model was a much improved and economical version of the original car whilst being much better built. This is an HR Owen supplied convertible being one of the last pre-facelift cars and has been cherished all its life with low mileage and a super history file with original books. She has enjoyed over £26k spent at Jaguar XJS specialist KWE improving suspension, body, mechanicals, steering, stainless exhaust etc resulting in one of the best examples available. All work has been documented in the comprehensive history file inc all mot test certificates and she remains in beautiful condition today. All original handbooks including a fully stamped service book etc are present even a factory Heritage certificate confirming the originality. On the road, she belies her years and is so smooth and refined it reminds you that Jaguar built some fine innovative machines that were world beaters. Supplied fully inspected, serviced with 12 months warranty.

Of course, everyones attention is always focused on the ubiquitous GTi but there were other models in the range that were rarer. The GTS was built in very limited numbers for Europe only and was a 1600cc 4-speed gearbox special which included different quad headlamps, body mouldings, stripes and a unique tweed interior. This stunning example lived in Holland and had one owner for most of its life before coming to the UK a few years ago. She has been featured in magazines due to rarity value and although has BBS Alloys, lower suspension she is original and unrestored. All original handbooks and mileage support of documents are in the history file which includes a 7-page magazine article on her. On the road, there is much fun to be had and with such low mileage, she is still very tight and solid in true Golf style. Supplied fully inspected, serviced with 12 months warranty.

A superb example of the standard setting TR4 with the original and beautiful Michellotti designed bodywork. These early cars are undoubtedly the purest and simple in the design of all the subsequent later TR models. Finished in its original colour of Signal red with black interior from new she is fitted with wire wheels, overdrive and is an original RHD UK delivered car. A nut and bolt restoration was carried out in 2001 by the highly regarded Protek in Oxford to a high standard (photos on file) and she has covered less than 3000 miles since and still presents very well being a testament to the high standards of restoration Engine and gearbox were also rebuilt and are the original units On the road, these cars are great fun with a good solid robust feel and capable of maintaining high cruising speeds for long trips. She is a quintessential British sports-car that can only appreciate in value and must be one of the best available. Supplied fully inspected serviced with a 12-month warranty.

The Big Healey rally cars, prepared by the BMC Competition Department, had an impressive CV with a great breadth of international victories under their belt. As the historic rally scene has grown, and with original BMC built cars rising sharply in value, Works-style recreations have become the weapon of choice for many serious competitors. Built in 1961, this BT7 MkII Austin Healey 3000 returned to the UK from the USA in the 1990s with the intention to build as faithful a replica of the famous works rally cars as possible. Fitted with an all aluminium body the attention to detail is impressive, including correct works style external jacking points and the modified boot lid that allows room for twin spare wheels. It also has the works-style long range aluminium fuel tank, an original hardtop with the works-style air vent and the correct grill and spotlights have been fitted for the year of the car. The engine runs with triple SU HD8 carburettors and it was built using Denis Welch parts, such as analloy head and inlet manifolds, forged pistons and a fast road camshaft with modified cam followers and a lightened cam gear. Mated to the engine is a straight cut gearbox with the correct original works Tulip Rally ratios. The uprated suspension is fitted all round, with the use of larger BJ8 type shockers fitted on the rear. A tandem master cylinder system provides braking with adjustable AP brake biasing installed. Thicker front discs and larger callipers have been fitted along with a Denis Welch rear brake disc conversion. The interior of the car has been kept as period apart from the fitting of a roll cage. Bucket seats and full harness belts are also fitted, along with many other rallies orientated enhancements, including a12v four socket outlet has also been built in for the intercom, interior light and GPS systems. Since being rebuilt, it has competed in many prestigious rallies such as the Liege-Rome-Liege rally, Tours Des Alpes, the Coupes Des Alpes, and also the Morges British ClassicRally in Switzerland and has a Fiva competition passport valid until 2025. She is ready to compete or just enjoy the well set up chassis as a fast road spec. The comprehensive history file shows much recent expenditure including a gearbox rebuild and an engine refresh by Denis Welsh Motorsport. I have covered around 200 miles in her so far and can confirm that she is an amazingly quick and sorted car. With around 175bhp there is plenty of power and the gearbox /overdrive make very fast progress easy but amazing fun imagining how it must have been flying these machines around the gravel rally courses in the 1960s. Supplied fully inspected, serviced with 12 months warranty.

Ending a terrific line of models the TR6 finished production in 1975 and all subsequent models like the TR7 had unfortunately lost the Sixties feel and looks of the original TR range. So the TR6 was the end of an era of iconic cars. This example was produced in 1970 and is one of the first batch built and is an original UK supplied RHD with overdrive car. Finished in red she had restorative work around 2014 which included engine/gearbox/overdrive rebuilds, the work totalled around £30000 and she still presents very well today. The history file is good with invoices detailing the work to date and old mot certificates etc.wven the original service book. There is also a comprehensive photo file showing stage by stage work She has enjoyed ongoing maintenance over the years including the unleaded cylinder head, stainless exhaust, Bosch fuel pump, Retro radio etc. This is a mighty performer with the slick overdrive gearbox meaning you can cruise at high speeds without stress and this example is very well set up providing an exciting and smooth drive. Supplied fully inspected, serviced with a 12-month warranty.

The MG T series was beginning to look a little long in the tooth and by the early 1950s MG required a new fresh design. So the MG A was finally launched in 1955 and was soon a great success with most of the production volume being exported to the USA. It was soon clear that the original 1500cc engine required more power and so the 1600cc was released. The final version was the MK2 and only 500 Coupes were built making this a very rare offering. She was UK RHD from new being registered in Oct 1961 and has always been Red and there is a good history file inc invoices/mots and even the original log book. Restored in the mid-1990s she still presents really well with a lovely classic 1960s feel about her and many features on the car hard to replicate today. The original reg number is still on the car and included in the price and continuous maintenance has been carried out recent expenditure includes new clutch/tyres/batteries etc. MG As have long been ignored but recently they have become a good sort after investment. On the road she is a delight with a vintage car feel adding to the occasion. Supplied fully inspected, serviced and with a comprehensive 12-month warranty.29950

By the late sixties, it was clear that MG had a great car with the MG B but many owners were requesting more power and by 1967 the MG C was conceived and muted to be the replacement for the historic Healey 3000! However, the press and indeed customers were not impressed with early reports of a heavy front-end provoking understeer and this did irrevocable damage to the cars desirability and after only two years in production, the project was killed off. So today with only 4000 coupes built the MG C has become a sought-after rarity. This stunning example was built in Dec 1968 and supplied directly to Morris Garages Oxford and it is believed then used as a "Recce car" for the Works rally team until being registered in 1970 by University Motors and sold. There is a Heritage certificate in the file including the info and she still has the original engine has undergone restoration in the late 1990s she still presents very well and still finished in her original colour of BRG. This is a real wolf in sheep clothing and surprises other road users with its performance and long-legged cruising ability. There is a Webasto sunroof, wire wheels, overdrive meaning any journey can be undertaken without stress. Supplied fully inspected, serviced with 12 months warranty.
