1971 LOTUS EUROPA TWIN CAM COUPE Finished in Carnival red with black trim this fabulous mid engine Coupe has had only 3 owners in its 46 year history and has covered only 74,000 miles from new. Way ahead of its time this Europa has four wheel independent suspension, and a lightweight, folded and welded minimalist boxed steel backbone chassis with a fibreglass moulded body. These innovations were typical of the founder Colin Chapman whose knowledge of aeronautical engineering techniques proved vital towards achieving the major automotive advances. The vehicle has had a full restoration which started in 2012 and was completed in 2015 with a full photographic record and has covered very few miles since the restoration. The certificate of provenance confirms that this vehicle has all numbers matching, chassis, engine, reg etc from new and also confirms that the colours both outside and inside are correct from new. In addition, it confirms that the car is a UK rhd car built by Lotus in 1971 anddelivered new to Foley Park Motors Lotus dealers in Kidderminster. Extras when new were brand Lotus alloy wheels and airhorns. The twin cam version is also fitted with the Lotus Ford Cortina 1557cc DOHC twin overhead camshaft engine. Weighing only 650kgs made this a very fast car then and is still fast today. The car is in excellent condition throughout. History folder includes Current and previous V5s, MoT docs and related paperwork, MoT history record, previous road fund tax discs, photographic images of the restoration, images of the completed car, invoices totalling circa 9000 for upkeep and maintenance, Lotus certificate of Provenance, tank information, wiring diagram, dashboard component diagram, original Lotus Owners Handbook, body shop brochures, magazine articles and related correspondence, Wikipedia and other write ups on the Lotus Europa, bill of sale, warranty, various supplier info, original Lotus Workshop manual and zinc plated model of car on stand.Very few cars were made in twin camversion with rhd and according to DVLA only 46 are registered on the road today and very few are for sale. The Lotus Europa was an iconic car of the 1970s and remains an eminently desirable vehicle today. 28995

1928 DELAGE DISS Sports Four Seat Special TourerA wonderful 91 year old motorcar, French blue with black leather trim, complemented by a tan hood. This beautiful vintage car includes two famous ex owners and has 53000 miles showing on the speedo. Originally owned by famous racing motorcyclist Stanley Woods, Isle of Man TT race winner x 10 and 29 Grand Prix wins until 1946. His biography is with the car and this car is mentioned in this book. Then sold to Mr Wilkinson followed by Mr Hall of Croydon, after which Mr Minifie owned the car 1961 to 1966 finally selling it to Lady Valerie Guinness. The car remained in the Guinness family until recently. Delage was hugely respected as motor car manufacturer in 1900s, producing exotic racers and refined tourers until the factory closed 1953. Few cars still exist, making this a rare find indeed. In the style of a racer, it is right hand drive, road tax and MOT exempt . Registration number YV2754, chassis 24714. Originally a Weymann fabric bodied Int saloon, the car was transformed mid 50s to a sporting four seater aluminium Sport Tourer, a common occurrence at the time. Weymann was a small French Coachbuilder but their car bodies were weak and soon distorted, hence the transformation to a sporting four seater. Later in the 1950s, a new engine was fitted and the Austin A70 engine was chosen for its weight and similar looks and performance to the original engine. The Delage Owners Club advises the chassis, axels and gearbox seem to be original, however the front shock absorbers have been changed.Features: King of the Road period headlamps, wing mirror, soft top and hood cover, badge bar with Delage Owners badge, engineer turned dashboard and 20 inch wire wheels. History folder includes: current and previous V5s, photocopy of the original buff logbook, Spring 1968 copy of VSCC Delage Register Journal in which this car is listed, previous MoT certificates which seem to confirm 53000 miles (unwarranted), MOT related docs, DVLA docs, old tax discs, carimages, Owners Handbook, Guinness family correspondence, write ups, lube chart, insurance docs, invoices, 2013 David Crawford book on Stanley Woods , The World First Motorcycle Superstar. His Delage is highlighted in Saloon format page 71. The foreword is by another famous motorcyclist, Sammy Miller MBE. This delightful car is eminently drivable and worthy of a vintage car collection, museum or vintage rallying. 39995

This early long door TR2 is a highly sought after motorcar due to the eligibility of the car to enter prestigious events such as the Mille Miglia and various other interesting rallies and car events. It is a great showcar and is one of the earliest TR2s with a small mouth and the longdoors. Because of the lighter weight of the longdoors, this sportscar is also much more sprightly than its later siblings. Only around 2800 home market right hand drive, small mouthed longdoor TR2s were produced and this little beauty is one of them. These were produced by the standard Motor Company at the Old Assembly Hall, Cranley. We believe less than 500 are around today. It is finished in delightful signal red with a black leather trim piped in red with co-ordinating black carpets, black tonneau cover, sidescreens and a new white hood. The car has had only 6 previous careful keepers in its 64 year lifetime and has been enthusiast owned since 2011. A full restoration was started in that year and completed a fewyears later. The invoices in the history folder amount to a staggering 32000 for the restoration and upkeep. A brake disc conversion took place in 1999 converting the front drum brakes of a TR2 to TR4 disc brakes. Features include, inertia seat belts, wet weather gear including a full tonneau cover, side screens and a new hood, long doors as aforementioned, rear luggage rack, wheel rim embellishers, overdrive on 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear. The history folder: current and previous V5s including the original V5, previous MOTs, DVLA documentation, original registration document, Triumph contact information, invoices for maintenance, restoration and upkeep, correspondence, TR2 Handbook, TR service instruction book, dipstick cleaner, TR advert, seatbelt installation instructions, lubrication chart, TR members registration letter and members application form, previous tax discs and business cards. This is truly a lovely, iconic and very rare sportscar of the 50s.
