1926 Vauxhall 14/40 Princeton Tourer Registration Number: PF 4822 Chassis Number: LM3631 Engine Number: LM3631 Transmission: Manual Steering: Right Hand Drive MOT Test Expiry: Exempt Road Tax Exempt PRICE: £44000 Designed by Clarence King the first car appeared in 1922 and had a four cylinder side valve engine driving through a 3 speed manual gearbox. The separate chassis had semi-elliptic springs at the front and cantilever springs at the rear. Brakes were initially on the rear wheels only with a separate pair of shoes for the handbrake. Some 60mph was claimed for the top speed and 28mpg. Various body styles could be purchased, one of which was the 4 seat Princetown tourer. In 1924 the LM version appeared with higher compression engine and 4 speed transmission. Front brakes were added in 1926 PF4822 is one of the later LM series cars and is smartly presented in green with contrasting green leather upholstery. The Vendor describes both the coachwork and trim as all good, with paintwork also good apart from odd marks of age. A leather trunk and rear Auster screen are nice additional features. The controls are all present with central throttle, and right hand gear change. All instruments are present and working but a non-standard fuel gauge is faulty. The black mohair hood is good and there is a tonneau and sidescreens, all mohair and good. The wire wheels are said to be well shod. Mechanically the Vendor affirms that all is in good order. Driving a Vauxhall Princeton Tourer , you are clearly not going to have the performance of the 23/60 or the top of the range 30/98 which is capable of holding 70mph for long periods. However once you have mastered certain vintage foibles such as the central throttle pedal and right hand gear change, it is surprising what good progress can be made in this delightful family tourer. There is also that wonderful sense of achievement in owning and running a vintage car of this type and plenty of support is on hand from the Owners Club and the Vintage Sports Car Club. The motor car comes with a V5C registration document, an old V5 and is clearly exempt from road tax and MOT test. FOR SALE - Please visit our website for full information...

1947 Sunbeam-Talbot Ten Saloon Registration Number: KAE 823 Chassis Number: 2316010 Engine Number: P78271 Transmission: Manual Steering: Right Hand Drive MOT Test Expiry: Exempt Road Tax Exempt PRICE: £7950 The Motor Sport Road Test no. 3 of April 1947 declared the Sunbeam-Talbot Ten to be so reasonably silent, so smooth-running, so light to control, and so generally refined in its manner of motoring and concluded that it was highly commendable small car, providing very refined economy motoring with no mean performance, and presenting a modern, but smartly restrained, exterior to the world at large. High praise indeed and certainly justified as the little Ten was a well-thought out pre-war model by the Rootes Group that had subtly evolved from the 1935 Talbot Ten. This 1947 Sunbeam-Talbot Ten was supplied new by Cathedral Garage of Bristol, and its first owner was H. C. Bailey, also of Bristol. The motor car remains in very original condition; its very nicely appointed interior has recently had the front seats retrimmed, most of the brightwork has been rechromed and at some point in the past, the motor car has been resprayed, but overall the Sunbeam still had an air of genuine originality. We understand KAE 823 to be reliable. The 1185cc engine motors along happily with the assistance of a four speed gearbox. Mechanically, we are informed that there are no known faults. The history file includes two factory parts catalogues, a Shell lubrication guide, an original sales brochure, a Sunbeam Talbot Alpine Register factory record certificate, sundry invoices, a VE60 registration book, the V5C registration certificate and the carriage key. Only known roadworthy example.... 1924 Mathis Type PM Trefle Tourer Registration Number: NT 4912 Chassis Number: 79505 Engine Number: 71154 Transmission: Manual Steering: Right Hand Drive Colour: Caramel and Cream MOT Test Expiry: Exempt Road Tax Exempt PRICE: £9250 Emile Mathis successfully produced motor cars from 1905 until the 1950s but they were never sold extensively in the UK. The right hand drive Type PM however was made for the British market; the sole concessionaries in the 1920s was The British Motor Trading Corporation Ltd of 132, Long Acre, London. The PM is equipped with a 8/10cv or 8.9 RAC hp four cylinder Monobloc engine and unusually, a four forward speed gearbox with central ball change. The engine shares its oil with the wet clutch and gearbox and is circulated to them by scoops on the flywheel and con-rods via a series of trays and oilways (which does away with oil pressure failure!). The PM also has a solid back axle and two rear wheel brakes: the foot brake operates the near-side and the handbrake operates the off-side. With some practice, the new driver will adjust to these particular features with ease. Cooling is by a thermo-syphon. The Mathis has three leather seats (a slab driver and passenger plus one seat at the rear, hence Trefle or Cloverleaf) and the overall length is 11. This particular example was sold on the 20th of August 1924 to a Mr George Birbeck, as documented in the original RF12 registration book included in the file. The current custodian purchased the PM from The Automobile Magazine in August 2013 and instructed a complete restoration at immense cost, which we are told included work to the engine, gearbox, clutch, starter motor, carburettor and magneto, together with the fitting of new brake drums and linings. The bodywork has also been restored and the motor car is equipped with a new hood and new upholstery. The history file contains the aforesaid RF12 registration book, two RF60s, an RF60A and the current V5C registration certificate, together with a large quantity of invoices, correspondence, technical data, copies of road test reports (including The Autocar, The Light Car and Cycle Car and The Auto), a photocopy of an original French sales brochure, starting instructions, an original handbook for the very similar Type MY and the July 1997 edition of The Automobile, in which NT 4912 is featured. We understand there to be only one other (unrestored) Type PM in the UK at present, making this charming example a very rare and desirable motor car. 1959 Armstrong-Siddeley Star Sapphire Registration Number: 967 XUV Chassis Number: 330264 Engine Number: 320260 Transmission: Automatic Steering: Right Hand Drive MOT Test Expiry: Exempt Road Tax Exempt PRICE: £29950 This Star Sapphire has formed part of a private collection for a decade, during which time it has undergone a high-end professional restoration. The majority of the engineering work was performed by Adrian Linscott of Torquay and comprised of the fitting of a new bulkhead, wiring loom, fuel tank and two-heater matrix. The radiator was reconditioned. The rear axle was removed and new road springs, manufactured by Jones Springs, were installed. The front suspension and steering systems were also overhauled, with new adjustable front shock absorbers fitted. The braking system was updated with mostly new components. The bodywork was stripped to bare metal, all panels and fittings removed and repainted to an exceptional standard by Colin Groom Classic Restorers of Devon. All brightwork was rechromed by electroplater Adam Howes in the Midlands, and the moulding retaining clips were handmade. The interior has also been entirely renovated, with new upholstery, a new headlining and new carpets. The dashboard and timber door cappings have been removed and restored, and the door cards and interior trims renewed. The boot compartment could require some minor detailing, but otherwise, a truly lovely example. After some searching, new information on the Armstrong-Siddeley has come to light and the history file now includes A.S.O.C correspondence confirming that the first owner of 967 XUV was J. Hart (Footwear) Ltd of London, who was supplied the motor car by dealership Pass and Joyce Ltd, also of London. Production records are also supplied, together with images, a photocopy handbook, a factory spares list, a workshop manual, wiring diagrams, invoices and the V5C registration certificate. We understand that not only is the Star Sapphire cosmetically superb, it also drives extremely well and has a good turn of speed. FOR SALE - Please visit our website for full information...

1959 Triumph TR3A Registration Number: XOL 957 Chassis Number: TS386310 Engine Number: TSA743FRE Transmission: Manual Steering: Right Hand Drive MOT Test Expiry: Exempt Road Tax Exempt PRICE: £25750 The original two-seat, open tourer TR3 first went into production in October 1955. From 1956, front brakes were changed from drums to discs, the first British production sports car to do so. In 1957 the TR3 was updated with some cosmetic changes, including a full width radiator grille, exterior door handles, lockable boot and a complete tool kit. With these somewhat minor changes the TR3 unofficially became the TR3A and finally ceased production in 1962, ultimately becoming the third highest selling TR after the 6 and the 7. Finished in red with a contrasting black interior and with chrome wire wheels, this striking TR3A has been a past concours competitor and remains, we understand, in very good condition. We are assured that the mechanics of the motor car have been maintained to a high standard. The vendor tells us that the body is sound and solid with a nice panel fit; the interior is smart and the instrumentation is understood to be all in working order. For the wind-in-the-hair motorist, the TR is supplied with aero screens in addition to the full-width windscreen; full weather equipment and a tonneau cover finishes off the competition car style. With prices of Austin-Healeys escalating in recent years, Triumphs TR range is surely next to follow and there is just one way for values to travel: upwards. The file supplied includes the V5C registration certificate and its replacement, a quantity of MOT test certificates, invoices and some images. In September, XOL 957 travelled to Perigueux in south west France and back, covering the 1650 mile journey with total reliability, to successfully compete in the International Charente Rally at Angouleme. With aero screens in place, of course! FOR SALE - Please visit our website for full information...

Subject of a specialist restoration... 1961 MG A 1600 Mk II Roadster Registration Number: 877 YUX Transmission: Manual Steering: Right Hand Drive Colour: Old English White MOT Test Expiry: Exempt Road Tax Exempt PRICE: £22000 We are delighted to complete our MG historical line up in this sale with two MGA roadsters. The MGA followed on from the MGTF and was produced from 1955 to 1962. The styling represented a complete breakaway from the earlier sports cars with lovely flowing lines and a neat two seater cockpit. To improve on the T series high driving position, the MGA had a new chassis designed with wider side members and a floor attached to the bottom of the frame sections. The straight four, BMC B series engine allowed for a lower bonnet line and drove through a 4 speed manual gearbox. Suspension was independent coil and wishbones at the front and a rigid back axle with semi-elliptic springs at rear. Rack and pinion steering gave light and positive handling. In May 1959 the engine was increased to 1588cc and disc brakes fitted to the front. Small external modifications to U.K. cars included amber turn front indicators shared with white side lamps, separate stop/tail and indicator lamps at rear and 1600 badging on the boot and the cowl. Motor magazine tested a 1600 in 1959, recording a top speed of 96.1mph, a 0-60 time of 13.3 secs and fuel consumption of 29.7mpg. The engine was increased again in 1961 for the Mk2 to 1622cc. the cylinder head was revised to produce 90 bhp and a higher 4;1 ratio rear axle was fitted. An inset radiator grille, centre lock disc wheels and rear lights mounted horizontally were the visual changes to the model. Top speed was increased on test to 105mph and 0-60 in 12.8 secs. Photographs on file together with numerous invoices, point to a major chassis up restoration and conversion from left hand drive having been carried out on the MG at considerable expense about ten years ago. This has to be the most desirable model MGA, apart possibly from a twin cam, and 877 YUX could be absolutely the one to own. At DVCA we are known for suggesting caution and recommending careful inspection where appropriate and we would respectfully suggest that this is such a moment as in our opinion further works may be required to bring it up to top condition. The motor car comes with a V5C registration certificate and the large file of invoices and photographs as mentioned, together with a handbook and a BMIHT certificate. Distinctive Registration Number Included... 1984 Bentley Mulsanne Turbo Registration Number: A6 SKR Chassis Number: SCBZS0T07ECH10098 Engine Number: 10098 Transmission: Automatic Steering: Right Hand Drive MOT Test Expiry: 19 September 2020 Mileage: 97530 OFFERS INVITED Named after the fastest straight at Le Mans, Bentleys original generation of Mulsanne motor cars teamed luxurious comfort and excellent performance from a Rolls-Royce 6.75 litre V8. The Garrett AiResearch turbocharger increased the power by a further 50% in the Mulsanne Turbo which arrived in 1983. We are assured that this 1984 Turbo example is in good running order and drives very well. The vendor states that it has no known mechanical faults but cosmetically, it could be in both the paintwork and interior departments. However, the motor car certainly has advantages: four new Avon have recently been fitted, the current MOT test certificate expires in September 2020 and the private registration number is included in the sale. The hub caps are currently stowed away in the boot but will require a replacement key to be refitted. The Mulsanne is supplied with the V5C registration certificate, the original handbook and wallet, the aforementioned MOT test certificate and sundry paperwork.
